Hi, I am back to inquire about a couple more questions. What exactly do you provide on the tour, and what is the total cost per person? Where would we go to get on the boat? Does the boat travel around Grand Island, and do you go anywhere else?

We provide the Vessel, Captain, Deckhand & the fun. Passengers are allowed to bring their own snacks and drinks on board for the special event cruises. No alcohol for the historic cruises. We do have a restroom for emergencies and boarding is on the… Read more

Jessica was an absolute A.W.E.S.O.M.E. Tour guide. She was knowledgeable and gave us a lot of tips…read moreand tricks about each site we visited (where to stand in the boat and when to wear and the quality of the ponchos). She was kind and patient with everybody in the group. Now for the attractions...the Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds were definitely an AMAZING experience. On the Maid of the Mist, you get close to Horshoe Falls and just feel the loud roar and energy of the falls. Absolutely stunning! Went on the hurricane deck at Cave of the Winds and got a hydrotherapy massage underneath Bridal Veil Falls. The water was intense and so powerful. A magnificent experience. We had lunch at Maple Leaf Place. Food was ok. Couldn't really eat from the food court since I have IBS so I don't have much to say about the food. The steak poutine was recommended and I was told that it was good. ‍ I didn't skip out on the maple syrup and fudge tasting though. Yum! Delicious. Had no clue there were 3 different types of maple syrup and I found that I like the dark amber syrup the best. Bought some chocolate covered blueberries and jujubes. My husband loved them...me not so much. I prefer my chocolate with no fruit, but I did enjoy their tasty orange dreamsicle fudge. Because there was a big tour bus that arrived at Maple Leaf Place just a few minutes we got there, our time at the food court took too long since the lines were long and everybody in my family were hungry. This meant that it cut our time for souvenir shopping. I'm sure my hubby was happy about that. After lunch, we went to Skylon Tower and went to the observation deck. We got a bird's eye view of not just the Horseshoe, American and Bridal Veil Falls but all of the town of Niagara Falls. Beautiful! Thank you Over The Falls Tour and Jessica! My family and I had a blast!

This is a classic case of mileage may vary, depending on the person. Here's my take on Over the…read moreFalls Tours: Good: -Picks you up and drops you off at your hotel, so that's a lot more convenient than having to get to a meeting point. -I wanted to do Cave of the Winds and Skylon Tower, and they were on the list of spots they do, so it was convenient, especially with having to cross the border for Cave the Winds. -David, our guide, was personable and pleasant Bad: -The 20% tip sign. Not so much so for the sign itself, but for the fact that, as a tourist, I didn't have any cash on me. They give you a card at the end to give the guide/company feedback; they could at least give you the option to send the guide payment through electronic means as well. -The hour-long lunch stop. I could do without the lunch stop. Again, some people probably really wanted it, but for me, I would've rather hit more up. -The guide basically just took us to the stops and said meet me back here at X. They say on the site that guides love taking pictures for you, well that's kind of hard to do, if you're way back up at the van. Not that I wanted my picture taken at any time, and if I did I could've asked someone in the group to, but it just seemed odd for him to stay back. Especially if somebody in the group got injured or something. -We didn't seem to do much. Maid of the Mist, Cave of the Winds, lunch, the actual power station, whirlpool, floral clock, Table Rock, and Skylon Tower. I had done pretty much everything else, so I don't know what more they could've done. But maybe they could've done 1-2 more things if they shortened the lunch break. I got a couple of discounts when I signed up, but ultimately, I don't think it was worth it. I don't regret it, but if I could do it over, I would've just crossed the border myself to do Cave of the Winds and Maid of the Mist, and done Skylon Tower on my own.

Outstanding Boat Storage & Winterization - Above & Beyond Service!…read more I can't say enough good things about my experience storing my boat here! From the moment I first inquired, the manager was an absolute pleasure to deal with--knowledgeable, professional, and truly committed to making the entire process seamless. They didn't just offer storage; they provided peace of mind, which is exactly what every boat owner wants when entrusting their vessel to a facility for the winter. What truly sets them apart is their attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond. I was running behind on getting my boat properly covered before winter hit, and they noticed it before I even had a chance to worry about it. Instead of just letting my boat sit exposed to the elements, they took the initiative to ensure it was protected until I could get there--something I never expected but greatly appreciated. That level of care is rare in any business, let alone a storage facility! Beyond their incredible service, their pricing is unbeatable compared to other storage options in the area. There are no hidden fees or unnecessary add-ons--just straightforward, honest pricing for top-tier service. And when it comes to access, they make it effortless. Whenever I need to check on my boat or grab something from it, I never have any issues; they are always accommodating and make access simple. For anyone hesitant about storing their boat at a facility, I completely understand--security, exposure to the elements, and ease of access are always concerns. But this business checks every box: Secure, well-maintained facility - My boat was exactly as I left it, without a single worry about theft or damage. Winterization that goes the extra mile - They don't just offer storage; they make sure your boat is properly protected from harsh weather, saving you from costly damage in the long run. Customer-first approach - They notice the little things and take proactive steps to ensure your boat is cared for, even if you're not there to ask. Unmatched convenience - Whether it's storing, covering, or accessing my boat, they've made the entire process effortless. If you own a boat and need secure, reliable, and customer-focused storage, don't waste time looking anywhere else--this is the place to go! The level of service they provide is unmatched, and I will be recommending them to every boat owner I know. A huge thank you to the manager and the entire team for making this such a stress-free and outstanding experience. See you next season!

I have been a slip holder at Harbor Place Marina for about a decade…read moreIt wasn't the cheapest I could find but it was the closest to my house so the convenience factor offset the cost will never use Harbour place again 1-inaccurate invoicing. On Invoice # 1956WI I was billed for 5 gallons of antifreeze. I didn't authorize any winterization of the water system or head. I performed that myself. Initial thought was maybe the 5 gallons was poured atop the fluid I had already placed. and not being confrontational by nature I paid the invoice. Upon accessing the vessel in the spring of 2024 I found 5 gallons of RV antifreeze sitting in the aft cabin. could these be the 5 gallons I was invoiced for at $21.99 each? which I can get from walmart or amazon for less than $4.00 each. A 500% markup on a fluid never requested seems excessive. also tag placed on trailer by marina staff indicates no head or water system winterization was performed 2-"summerization" Marine personnel tried to upsell me "summarization" services. which included flushing water system of antifreeze , hooking up batteries, and providing and installing drain plug. My response was I can run faucets myself to flush the water system and other items were already included when placing the vessel into the slip by Harbour Place. Why would I pay for those items again? 3-inoperative tilt motor. marina personnel informed me that the tilt motor wasn't functioning and the outdrive was stuck in down position. I agree. the vessel is older and the Motor had been getting weaker, so It finally totally failing wasn't a surprise. What WAS a surprise is that I was informed of this issue after the boat was moved several times ( from lift to storage, can't say if it was moved to wrap it, and then from storage location to shop.) On its own trailer. Finally, I was informed that as a result of the failed tilt motor I would either have to get the motor replaced ( quoted at over $800 dollars) or pay additional fees to have the boat "carefully" moved from the shop to the lift point to avoid dragging/damaging the skag. Were all the other moves before now not careful? Boat was moved at least twice before ( lift to storage and storage to shop) no mention was ever made of the drive stuck tilt down. Finally was told there was an issue and it would be additional charges? 4-ship to shore cable Ever since we have had a vessel that uses a ship to shore cable, I have left that cable plugged in so batteries have the highest charge when marina personnel need to start the boat to navigate from the slip to the hoist point. Boat has a trickle charger that maintains Battery charge when supplied with shore power. Every previous season Harbor Place staff unplug the cable at both ends and throw the cable onto the vessels deck behind the cockpit. Not stowed below. just thrown on deck. OK, fine with me. This season when I first accessed the vessel the Ship to shore cable was no where to be found. It was not on the vessel's deck nor below . unsure if cable was left at dock and stolen by a third party, or if it was misplaced by staff, or something else, we will never know. Whatever the cause, the result is I now have to buy a new ship to shore cable. In addition, no longer offering onsite trailer storage to slip holder over the summer was an issue Haul out and put in HAD ALWAYS been performed by Harbor Place at no additional charge. I had presumed that put in and haul out were included with the slip rental. (which is why I figured there were less expensive slip rentals in the area) In all the years I had been at Harbor Place I was never invoiced or charged for put in or haul out. Call began cordially but when staff learned I had made other arrangements for wrapping and winter storage, tone seemed to change and I was informed haul out wasn't included in slip rental and I would have to pay for the service. When I questioned why those services had always been performed before at no additional charge previously and I was under the impression that those services were included in the slip rental I was told to "read the contract" I did. Yes the contact does not explicitly state haul out and put in are included with slip rental. But it also doesn't explicitly exclude those services either . Since Harbor Place performed those services at no additional charge since we became slip holders at the Marina, in my opinion, this established a standard of care and level of anticipated services a reasonable person would come to expect based on past history. I'm not a lawyer, only a dumb structural engineer licensed in 13 States, so I can't say if the contract language is airtight on this issue, but it is a moot point as we have made other arrangements going forward
