I got a foliage done by Cynthia and let me tell you I LOVE IT! She was super professional and knew exactly what I wanted. She was super sweet and made me feel really comfortable. She offered me a drink and snacks which were super helpful since my hair took 6 hours to get the right color but it was worth it! The place is cute and has a great hipster look to it. Only complaint is that they need a better blind on the window because the sun shines super bright when people are getting their hair washed but that's about it for cons that I have. This is for Ashlee Mandel. What I wanted and what I ended up with. Not cool. Not even blended. Had high hopes from her IG. Asked for a partial refund got denied. Can't even tell I have baylage on the back of my head. My hair is turning orange. The front pieces of my hair are lighter than the rest of my head and the right side color is higher up than the left. There's no dimension and the color washes me out. I paid 250 for what looks like a partial baylage. Very disappointed. Do not waste your time or money on her when you can go to someone who cares about your wants and needs and will charge you based off how simple or difficult your style is. Would not feel comfortable with her trying to "fix" my hair. I knew it wasn't what I wanted when I got to my car and didn't feel confident or happy. Constantly checking my mirrors trying to convince myself that I like it. Not worth it. Leaving the salon it looked decent. Update: got my money back from my bank and got my whole head redone for $160. Looks much better and I feel confident with it. What I asked for was not complicated at all. read more

So I found @colechrisray on Instagram about a month ago and had done a balayage that wasn't too bad I just wanted it to get a little lighter/more beige. I went in she was super nice and very welcoming. During our consult I felt she understood what I wanted and she told me according to my hair color and what I wanted was not too far away so we should be able to get there. She charged me $230 for a trim of about 1/2 an inch, and to go over my balayage and lighten it. When I was done she stated "I know this isn't what you wanted, it's a little brassy and has different tones in it but we should be able to get you to beige if you come back and lighten it and I promise it won't cost too much" are you kidding me? She told me in the consult I was already light so it shouldn't have been a problem? Deceitful. And on top of it there's no management so she basically told me I'm stuck with this? Thanks a lot! None of the stylists have any liability so if there is a problem with your hair you're stuck with it since their "unique business model" basically means stylists have no liability for their work. Waste of money and false advertising. I will attach pictures below of what I wanted and what I came out with. TWO total different things. BE AWARE!!!!!! And if you do decide to give this salon a try be very very clear during your consult because clearly she did NOT know what she was doing! Best wishes to everyone who tries her out! read more

Where do I even begin.. I came to Salon 1506 on a recommendation from my sister who saw one of the stylist Cynthia's work on Instagram. My sister and I talked about finding a new hairstylist for about a year someone we could trust since our hair never comes out the way we wanted. My sister booked her appointment with Cynthia while I was still hesitant because I've had some really bad hair experiences(fried hair,melted hair,damaged hair,hair being to over processed) well you get the picture. So my sister got her hair done and came home and I absolutely loved how her hair turned from Cynthia! So I immediately got on Instagram sent Cynthia a message and tried to book an appointment. Sadly our schedules just didn't match up and the appointments she offered me i was always busy :( because December was such a busy month for me. Finally on December 22 I was able to go and see Cynthia who in my books is a hair god, because all my worries went away after I saw my hair at the end of our session. I was so amazed how light she was able to get my hair because I knew how damaged my hair was and it was probably impossible to even lighten; but she did it!! I followed Kristy to Salon 1506 when she left her previous salon because no way am I going with any other hair dresser! Seriously, if you try her out, you will never let anyone else touch your hair again. She's amazing and does exactly what I want everytime. Oh and she styles SOOO GOOD! Of course she styles great everytime I go in to get my hair done, but she did my best friends wedding and omg made her hair BEAUTIFUL!! For that same wedding, she did up dos for all the bridesmaids and usually up do's aren't my favorite, but she did such fun styles with braids and twists to make everyones unique and they were all gorgeous! After Ashlee's blunt responses I professionally pointed out to her the importance of quality customer service and making a new customer feel welcome. Ashlee's next action was very shocking as well as unprofessional and immature... she proceeded to screen shot the text conversation and post on her social media asking all her friends to respond... in which many did with embarrassing remarks which Ashlee posted on her story as well. I felt exploited and somewhat betrayed to read this on social media. I informed her that posting private conversations on social media, exploiting and defaming someone may have legal repercussions and requested that she remove the story, in which she did not. As a former business owner and consumer this is very shocking and quite scary.... Please beware and stay away!!! I set an appointment with Cynthia because I was due for a trim. When I went in she made me feel very comfortable and asked me what I wanted from my haircut. I explained to her just what I wanted and the style I wanted and for the first time I actually had a hairstylists actually listen to me and give me the haircut I wanted. My stylist, Natalie Newhouse, moved her services here from downtown orange and the location change is so perfect. This area in placentia is beautiful and bright, just like the salon itself. Huge glass windows provide tons of natural light and the salon itself is so clean and open with a chill atmosphere. Of course, the stylists are very nice too. What an amazing ambiance filled with great stylist! After moving from Chicago, I was on the hunt for a great stylist and finally found one. Michelle Stevens killed it with the Vivid Color hair dye. I have never had my hair dyed before and went for that slate gray/purple look, after a few weeks the color faded so naturally and looks amazing! Oh and the snacks at the salon are always a plus. This salon is super cool inside! I have been going to Tanya for a few years, so when she moved salons, I was bummed.
