The reason I am leaving this review is because I sent an email regarding my concerns and nobody got back to me which is so unprofessional. I went in looking for a fringe and a few long layers and my hair was pretty long to be told my forehead was too short for a fringe. I did explain twice that I had one before and I loved it but again I was told it wouldn't work so I accepted that and was told then that I would have 2-3 inches taken off my hair as I expressed more than once I wanted the length left and that was fine as I knew it needed a little off it but there was way more than 3 inches taken off. I was told I would have long bangs at the side but I don't. It just looks all uneven in the front when it's straightened. It's far too thinned out and Sharon explained she wasn't thinning it but adding layers underneath so that it would sit nice when I blowdryed it. I also explained the one thing I didn't want was my hair cut straight across and that's exactly what I got. There is nothing positive I can say about my hair. It is ruined and I have a wedding in 6 weeks. I am now going to have to spend a lot of money to get hair extensions in. I didn't say anything when I was there because I was trying not to cry when I saw the end result. My partner just gasped when he saw it. I can honestly say I trusted that going to your salon and paying €112 that your head stylist knew what she was doing. I'm beyond upset. What happened next was nothing short of a miracle. Elizabeth took up the challenge of fixing the shameful mess that was my hair. She spent over an hour carefully trimming down the weight and bulk, allowing my natural curls to spring back to life. She painstakingly softened the areas in the back where chunks had been removed by the previous stylist, resolving the mushroom shape that had taken over. Elisabeth is a charming professional who brought my lovely red hair back to life. Not only did she correct the bad cut, she gave me one of the best cuts I've ever had. I left the salon with my self confidence restored. I felt pretty again. Finding a hair stylist is not an easy process. You never know what you are going to get without an existing, trusted relationship . Take my advice and go to Elisabeth at Scruples Salon. She is the real deal. I left with more of a 'trim' than a cut, and an uneven one at that. In a mad contrast, Lunatic Fringe was probably the best hairdressing experience I've had in Ireland. At a reasonable price, I had my hair styled exactly as I wanted. No attempt to quicken the job using an electric razor or other such nonsense. Denise came highly recommended and has actually won an award. She was very friendly and not-rushed. Even with my poor instructions, she was able to understand what I wanted - as if I was speaking fluent hair-speak.

I had a consultation one week before my appointment with the director hair colourist, Jade, and she was so helpful, she suggested safe ways to lighten my hair without damaging it with so much bleach to be put on, and she explained what kind of result I should be expecting, I walked into the appointment confident that she'll do a great job! The result was so much better than I expected! My hair has a lovely gradual lightness, mixing different shades of brown that are blended perfectly with my black base. My hair is amazing I got so many compliments and it looks healthy and shiny! To top off this joyful hair transformation day, I got a complimentary hair product that preserves and cares after coloured hair in a generous bottle size!

I called at 1020 to advise I would be 10 mins late. To which, June the manager who answers the phone advised, if you are any time after 1040 I wont be taking you. I arrived at 1042 and was REFUSED MY APPOINTMENT. I was totally miffed - we're taking about 2 minutes here after all!!! June was completely unhelpful, though pulled out all the usual and frustrating lines "i tried to meet you half way here by accepting 1040, however, its sadly over 1040 now so I cant accomodate you. If you'd like to wait around town for 45 mins I could call you and advise if we can fit you in" An hour later (15 mins late I might add) June phones to advise that she cant fit me in, but if i'd like to wait until 12.45 she could try and call me again. Needless to say at this point I was disgusted. I'd bought a Boards.ie deal for this treatment and now after waiting 2 weeks for the appointment, and travelling for 90mins, with a play to attend at 2.30 - I realised there was no chance of June "fitting me in" As its a boards deal, she of course refused to refund me for the treatment I'd already paid for, but not used. I hopped over to Peter Marks on Grafton street, not only was I greeted with a smile, they "fit me in" with no appointment, no bother - smiles all round. They also threw in my deep conditioning treatment after I told them of my horrible experience at Therapie Hair Couture Peter marks did a great job, and even styled my hair for me, so I could look glam at the play. I would highly recommend against using Therapie Hair Clinic - in todays climate who needs "customer service" like that when there are others around who actually VALUE your custom Needless to say, I will NOT be returning.
