I came in before my appointment to see who was good at cutting curly hair and she said she was. The set up of the stations is unique because it's private. It's like a cutting cubicle. The room is three sided. There is no getting up to go to get washed and then coming back to get cut or styled because the sink is in the room. The chair swivels to reach the sink and then back to reach the stylist. I had never got professional color done and she answered all my questions. The whole process seemed to take no time at all but I was actually there for over two hours. My hair came out very nice!

Terrible. It has taken me quite some time to write a review. My mom and I were happy in the…read morebeginning. My mom who's in her 80's asked for some highlights. The girl who did her hair literally made my mom's hair blonde. That was not what she was looking for. Now yes they could have had a problem communicating what she was looking for. Either way as a former hair stylist if a client isn't happy with the end result your stylist will fix your hair to what they are looking for. It can be the next day if wanted. Since I was going the next day my mom was told to come in with me. While we were there I didn't quite pick up on what kind of child like game they were playing but I then started to pick up on it. They were talking to each other about how long it should be before you allow a client to have their hair fixed when they're not happy with the outcome. The people were not consistent with their personalities or were they honest. They handled the situation without professionalism. This salon had a negative vibe after this occurred. We then called to get our next appointment and the conversation was strange. I called right back to cancel and sure enough from the tone and attitude that was received we never went back. Good riddance.

Since I have a "Latin" skin tone, the makeup made my face look too pale or "white". The eyelashes were overly large, and the colors should have complemented my skin tone instead of making me look completely different. I was very disappointed. I had an event in New York and couldn't go out looking like a total mess. I had to remove all the makeup and apply a lighter look at home. It was a waste of my money and time. I will never return to Tre Chic.
