salon: i always go here to get my hair cut! i go to tony and she does an amazing job. i have really curly hair and she is the only person i trust to cut my hair. i found her off instagram about a year ago when i got messed over by a hairstylist. i got a balayage from this other place and they ended up just doing chunky gross highlights. after i got that done i found tony on instagram and asked her to fully color my hair to fix it. and she did! i won't let anyone else touch my hair now. she's such an amazing stylist and i can't wait for her to cut my hair again! and hopefully do my prom hair this year!! and price wise it's really worth the money and it's honestly not much money at all! boutique: last time i was here at the end of june i got a shirt from the boutique and it's absolutely adorable. i love it so much and wore it to a 4th of july gathering. the only problem i've had is because it crosses the sides are starting to tear and i'm going to have to sew it so it doesn't tear the shirt. but the shirts adorable as you can see from the pictures read more

I went for a manicure & spa pedicure. It was the worst spa pedicure I've ever had. $85 later I left feeling completely ripped off. So bad that I had $25 left on a gift certificate & gave it to a woman in the waiting room because I knew I'd NEVER be back. Manicure was subpar, I could have done better myself. The "spa" pedicure consisted of a mediocre regular pedicure and having me sit for a few minutes with paraffin on my feet in a bag. Really? So you know the complete process: cut nails, filed nails, buffed feet, feet in bag, slight lotion. Does that sound like a spa pedi to you? I can see why they don't allow Google reviews. Oh & it was the owner to did it, so if the owner can't even do a good job what does that say. Avoid! I suggest going to Ceci nails in Wall, they do a great pedi. read more

The hairdresser I had doesn't even deserve a 1 star. I received the worst haircut there ever. I literally had to go back to get someone to fix the mistakes she made. The hairdresser who originally cut my hair told me she had 15 years experience. I believe her name was Laura. What hairdresser doesn't know how to cut long layers, especially if she had 15 years experience. Maybe she needs to go back to school and get a refresher course in how to blend long layers. This was over six months ago. I am still in the process of growing it out. She gave me two different haircuts. Nothing was blended. The girl who fixed it, (I can't recall her name) was demonstrating the mistakes to a new hairdresser who was still in training. She showed her how to blend the haircut without losing much length. I will never go back to the Toms River location! read more

The only reason i gave this place 3 stars is because the people who work here are really nice. If the staff sucked, I would have given one star. I live in the city and came to point pleasant for a vacation. There aren't a lot of nail salons in the area and I came here because of the reviews. However, this is definitely one of the worst manicures i have ever gotten. Here's why: 1) i asked for my nails to be filed and I like them in a more almond shape, instead my nails were filed like a square but with rounded edges. 2) the nail technician did not soften my cuticles with gel or even warm water. She aggressively pushed my cuticles back and cut them really close to my skin. It was painful and there was a little bleeding afterwards. The cuticle cutting wasn't even good. 3) i got a pale yellow gel manicure. The nail technicians hands were very shaky, which is fine, but she ended up getting polish around my cuticles. That happens and it's no big deal and can be easily wiped off with her nail. Instead she uses a sharp wooden dowel and it was shoving it almost under my nail to wipe off the excess polish. 4) I wanted a light layer of glitter on top. But after looking at the paint job she did, I asked for a lot more glitter than i would have liked. The gel polish was very uneven and really thin in some areas and thick (to the point where it looked bulbous) and the tips of my fingers. 5) I got this gel manicure done on Saturday and it has already chipped. read more

She is constantly educating herself and attending many classes and seminars to perfect her craft and it shows. I know when she touches my hair, I have nothing to worry about. Very nice hair stylist in discussion. After reading reviews it seems like it matters who you go to and experience varies. I tried somewhere new since I needed a last minute trim. Never had an issue before with a trim because I have such long hair and have used Groupon often elsewhere. My concern is that the stylist took about 5-6 inches off my hair and after an hour and fifteen minutes was only done cutting. She also seemed to panic and had another stylist check her work over and that stylist quickly evened it out. I began to panic at this point because I've never had the experience of another stylist having to assist. My hair also started to dry because the time it was taking so I was worried it was uneven because some pieces were drying and some wet. I don't think it's uneven but honestly not sure. Was not expecting my hair that was past my breasts to be at my collarbone. Wanted to keep my long healthy summer hair. I would just say to go to someone you trust instead or skip this salon. read more

Yesterday I went to Spa Bella for a mani/pedi and yes I was a walk in so I do appreciate them being able to accommodate me. It was 9am and waited a half hour. No big deal.. walked around Arnold Avenue. The girl who did my service literally went through the motions. Very sloppy and was not at all providing a service. She was disinterested in doing a good job. I'm not high maintenance, I don't talk, I literally was sitting there minding my business so she was not distracted. I asked for a gel manicure as I was going on vacation that afternoon. It's not even 24 hours later and all the gel peeled up. She did not let my nails dry completely between coats because she was in a rush. She had to leave to get to a wedding. I'm really just disappointed as I sit on a boat on vacation with unkempt hands. If she was not going to be able to do the service, I would have just appreciated them saying they were booked. No big deal. read more

Great experience, from start to finish. Receptionist was warm and genuinely friendly when he checked me in for my appointment. Toni kicked my hair's ass! She asked questions about my hair and what I wanted, to make sure I left satisfied. Another stylist was sweeping the entire shop floor while I got my hair cut, so the place was kept nice and clean. Everyone kept busy, even when they weren't with a client, which was impressive since they were bustling (it was a Saturday!). I wish I had better to say, but I was highly disapointed in the spa. It was pretty to look at, but the services provided weren't what I expected, especially for a gel manicure and pedicure that cost me 70.00. I was not happy with the gel because my technician did not clean the edges once she was done. Two nails broke the next day and 3 days after my thumb polish cracked. My pedicure was also very sloppy. She once again did not clean the edges. Some people can call it picky, but I believe if you are paying for a service, it should be done right. I've had gel manicures now for some time, and can honestly say I have never experienced broken nails. I would not go back. read more

I went to Spa Bella with three girlfriends to get gel manicures/pedicures before a recent wedding. We chose to come here based off of the positive reviews. We were told that the group would be split so that we could all be accommodated, which was fine. The selection of gel polish colors was not the most extensive, which also was fine, but a few of the bottles I chose appeared to be older and had a "goopy" consistency. The woman who did my services was pleasant and polite, asking questions from time to time, but unfortunately I received the worst manicure and pedicure I have ever had. The manicure felt rushed, sloppy (I had quite a bit of polish all over my fingertips that was not wiped away), and uneven. My manicurist cut my cuticles haphazardly and painfully (this process actually hurt a great deal, despite asking her to just stop and leave two fingers without getting the cuticles trimmed), and barely filed my nails to even them out. I was a bit shocked with the quality of the manicure I received, but had hoped that the pedicure would be an improvement. Wrong. Somehow manicurist somehow found herself in the pedicure room without any nail tools, despite having just used some on my manicure. After getting situated (I waited almost 10 minutes for her to come back and get started on my pedicure), she sat down and asked the other girl who was doing my friend's pedicure to SHARE NAIL TOOLS. Not only is this unsanitary and gross, but it is absolutely inappropriate -- sharing tools exposes us the risk of infection. Once again, she cut my cuticles in a manner that was incredibly painful, and ignored my wimpers and "that hurts, please stop." The manicurist did not know what kind of pedi I was receiving, and started to apply lotion to my feet without doing any sort of callous removal or filing. The polish application, once again, was sloppy -- more polish all over my toes, uneven at the cuticle line, and very thick. The manicure area of the salon felt cramped, unkempt, and frankly it was uncomfortable to be in - not quite the relaxing environment we anticipated. The prices were OUTRAGEOUS. Almost $80 for a gel manicure and pedicure that were done by someone who clearly was not of adequate quality. I am used to paying an astronomical amount to get my nails done in the city, but this was beyond expensive for the quality of the services. I will say, that the staff was all very pleasant and welcoming despite not giving a satisfactory manicure/pedicure. read more

This review is for mani/pedi only. I've not used the other spa or salon services. This is not like your average mani/pedi mill. It takes longer because they do the job carefully and slowly. They have high quality polishes from OPI, Zoya, and Essie (my personal fave) and lots of the latest colors. Both times, the owner has done my manicure and it has lasted nearly a week. I confess that I used a groupon, so it will be more expensive when my 3-pack deal ends, but I highly recommend Spa Bella. read more

I had a wedding the following day and three girls and I decided to choose spa bella. When we got there we were greeted. All four us were getting mani's and pedi's and had the appointment booked for a few weeks. The pedi's went fine for all but, the nails were a different story. Each one of us had an issue with our nails. First, both me and one other were cut badly on our cuticles. Her and I had nails that were not shaped correctly or similar to the other nails. There was places that the acrylic wasn't completely painted over and other places where there was too much acrylic on. For me, my acrylic nails weren't placed under the UV light at all when my friends was. They easily got messed up as soon as I left the salon. Even after they dried for a decent amount of time. Not only 2 days later did I have nails fall off. I Gave them 2 stars bc my nail girl was very friendly. The talent and knowledge for nails here just isn't there. Awful!! If I could give zero stars and another zero stars for the rude threatening manager I would. I went there a week ago to get color and cut! Walked in with long past the shoulder hair one length and came out with a chopped up short in front long in back mess. Paid $130.00 including tip. As for the color, grays were back in less than a week! Their customer service is despicable! Went to speak with Jules who cut and colored my hair and told her that I was really unhappy and just wanted my money back. Jules agreed the grays were back and the cut was uneven! She offered to fix it but I told her I didn't want it any shorter and honestly was terrified for her or anyone to take another scissor to my hair. She was fine with that and said she would refund my money and sorry I was unhappy. She had to get her manager to figure out how to refund my money since I paid on American Express. She called over her manager. At first the manager asked what the problem was and Jules told her I was unhappy and wanted my money back, I didn't want anyone trying to fix the mess for fear it would either be worse or have to be made even shorter. First she tried to figure out how to give back my money. After a few minutes she looked up and said we don't give money back! She proceeded to be very rude and smirking the whole time I was speaking to her. She decided to call as she said "another owner" . She went outside, came back and again said we don't give your money back. Your option is to allow someone here to fix it or leave. I said that I couldn't believe when clearly my hair is ruined that they wouldn't refund my money but expect me to sit in another chair and have them try to fix it (aka cut it even shorter). Why would I want to take a chance with someone else to cut it even shorter or crooked again. I asked her to look at my hair again and tell me it doesn't look crooked. I took the pictures out on my phone even though I was right there and she proceeded to tell me my hair was fine."I don't see anything wrong with it". The person that cut it agreed it was crooked, so I told her don't play dumb, it is clearly crooked. She threatened me with this, her words if "I threaten to call her dumb", she will call the police and have me removed". Another young girl came to the desk threatened me, yelled at me and told me to "get out" ! As I turned to leave shaking and very upset she sarcastically yelled, Have a Nice Day. As for Jules, the one who did my hair, she just sat in a corner with her head down the whole time and said nothing! Very upsetting experience. read more
