I currently have natural spiral curly hair, but due to age half of my hair was going straight. I needed a fix. They asked me to come in for a consultation. When I got there, the owner and a stylist looked over my hair and said they'd be able to do it. They had to order the curlers and stated the curlers will arrive in a few days. During my consultation, not one thing mentioned that the damage or possible errors that could happen. The only question they asked if I colored my hair. I stated I did and told them the last date I colored it. All seemed good and they seemed confident.
The day of the appt, all seemed it was still good to go. They had to wash my hair before putting the chemical in. As I had my head in the sink, the stylist said, Oh I need you to sign a waiver. She brought it over, as I am still head in the sink. I asked what it was for and word for word, she said it is so you are aware the curls may not be consistent. To me, that's understandable, as my curls now are not consistent now.
Went through the process. At the end, they blow-dried my hair and told me not to wash it for 3 days. Immediately, my hair looked awful and fried. I waited the three days, but there was no change. My hair was beyond damaged. BEYOND!!! They have legit fried my hair. When I called, looking for help or compassion, all the manager can say is sorry, but you signed the waiver. I told her my side and that this is going to cost me a lot of money to fix this and I HAVE!!! She still said, "Sorry but you signed a waiver." It will take over a year, per my new stylist, for my hair to be normal.
If I mess up, the guilt would be heavy, and I would do anything to make things right. There was absolutely no care or compassion. Save yourself your sanity, your money, and go somewhere else. Spread the word.
