This place is honestly amazing! I used to take my sister's dog here, and now I take my fur baby. Pam does a wonderful job with grooming! They are so kind, and the customer service is excellent! They have a really cute boutique in the front too. I paid $85 for Pebbles to be groomed, and they even put the cutest handmade bow on her. Honestly, decently priced, and great results! Never bring your dog here ! I offered to pay twice as much happily thinking they were better and would take time To pamper him 2 short hours later when I picked my baby up , he was crying screaming and barking in terror ..... he's a tiny 4 lb poodle that was a little matted which I offered A 100$ tip to have them take their time to groom his winter hair ..... they not only shaved all of his hair off He's a poodle that now looks like a chihuahua. But he's covered in bloody nicks and red marks from having his hair pulled and shaved to the skin ..... poodles need extra special care and they didn't give it to him . I'm not sure I can ever take him to a groomer again after this deplorable treatment . He's so traumatized:( It's breaking my heart I trusted them to take care of my child . I take my big 95lb American Bulldog mix here to get groomed. He doesn't get trimmed just bath and brushed. He loves going in and they always love on him when we walk in. It's super convenient and always easy to make an appointment. I won't take him anywhere else!!! read more

I love this place, and it's close to home. My Frenchie Jameson comes here monthly for a bath, ears, nails and teeth cleaning. He always smells wonderful, looks great and the price is right. I love the cute bandanas. The clothing and boutique store is super cute too. I bought a sparky seashell tank, and I received a lot of compliments on vacation. Just hanging up the phone with the owner Danielle Gaudreau; wanted an appointment for my 9 months old puppy. She was so unpleasant that I rushed to read the reviews for this "Salon Bark " place in Ft Lauderdale ; very informative ; no wonder I had a very bad feeling about the owner when I asked a couple of questions about how they handle "first time grooming for puppies" and she never answered clearly my question , saying that I was " screaming on the phone " !!!. I had Very Bad feelings personally, relieved to see that I am not the only one , feel sorry for all the mums and their babies , out there who had to experience such bad ethic, careless and improper handling to say the least for our little ones. . these people should be out of business and beware ... don't get fooled by pretty "stuff" for sale for doggies, you can all this on line too ! read more

My bichon Chase loves Salon Bark! The staff and groomers are very nurturing and caring! Chase always walks out with his head held high and looking great. Everyone who sees my dog always complements his grooming, even when he is overgrown and ready to go back for a groom! I'm surprised to see such horrible reviews here.. I take both my dogs here my Yorkie poo and my big boy lab/beagle Buddy.. my yorkie poo literally runs through the gates in excitement when we arrive to see the groomer. They are reasonably priced as well, I do feel sometimes they'll go right to the shave instead of working some mats but I get it... their prices are comparable to pets mart but I believe they do a way better job here. I recommend it, have never had issues!! read more

I went to this place with our sweet docile maltipoo a couple years ago. They called me and said his tail "just shredded" when they tried to remove matting. I dashed over to get him. He was bleeding profusely when he came home. They cut his skin and refused to accept blame. Horrible, dangerous place. To this day, my dog won't let anyone touch or brush his tail. Traumatizing. I would give this place a NEGATIVE 10.. I took my puppy there, since it was part of the package where I bought him. I asked for him to be bathed only. He was there about 3 hours. When I went in to pick him up, I noticed he came out of the back room limping, when I asked why the girl picked him up and put him on the counter so he would not walk in front of me. I paid, scooped him up and put him in the car.. he slept on the way home which didn't seem unusual since he was a puppy (5 months). He had been going to a groomer every week since the day he came home with me. So it was not like he would act up or misbehave he was very use to getting bathed. Well, we got home, I carried he in and he went back to sleep... I started to get worried when he did not wake up later that day for dinner and his breathing was very shallow. This baby did not wake up the next morning either. I shook him and immediately contacted my vet. It was concluded he had been drugged by SALON BARK.. I called the shop and asked many questions, and to speak to the owner, who never even had the courtesy to ever call me back.. my little guy finally started coming around to himself SUNDAY AFTERNOON!!!! TWO DAYS After he left this horrible place..Called the authorities to make a complaint..how dare they drug a puppy, lie about it and now even go on a TV to say what a great place they are. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE..ANIMAL ABUSE. P.S. Left a message on their website which they quickly deleted....I Can't stress enough...DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE... read more

I have taken my dog here 3 times now. It is convenient because they are across the street from my work. Let me start by saying I have 105 lb puppy. He is well behaved and LOVES little dogs and big dogs and people. I called the salon the first time ahead to schedule Zeus and made sure they would be okay with his size. They assured me he would be well taken care of. I asked if it would be a problem if I brought him in at 9;00 and picked him up at 5:30. As it is cageless i wanted to make sure they would be okay with this. They said of course and I even offered to pay extra for keeping him there. The first time Zeus got a haircut and bath and he looked wonderful. I got a call three times to come pick my dog up. Every time it was a different person that didn't get the memo that I would be leaving him there the whole day. I even asked if he was behaving because if he wasn't I would pick him up. They said no they just didn't know he was staying the day. Lack of communication fine I am incredibly non confrontational. When I went to pick him up I walked in and a blonde lady at the front was talking to another woman (a customer) about their kids and how difficult it is having an autistic child. I stood there for 10 minutes (I am not exhausting about the time) waiting to be helped. Someone actually came out from the back for something and approached me and asked me if I needed help. I just stated I was here to pick up Zeus. I am patient but this was terrible customer service. The second time Zeus just had a bath and I told them he has been having skin allergies. This day my husband picked Zeus up upon completion. but I got a call saying that I should take him to the vet because it looks like he has a skin yiest infection. So obviously I called my vet right away and had my husband take him in to get checked out after picking him up. No infection just as I had said .... Skin allergies.... $200 vet bill later. Third time I called again ahead to make sure that they would keep Zeus from 9:00-12:30 for the day and was told yes that it would be fine. I dropped Zeus off and requested specifically for his anal glands to be cleaned as he had been dragging his tush. Just a bath, a light trim of fur around his hind legs, and tush cleaning for this third visit. I got a call to come pick him up around 10:00 that he was finished. Again I uncomfortably explained that I was told I could leave him there till 12:30. As I am super non confrontational situations like this give me anxiety because I don't want to be am inconvenience to anyone. I got an apology that they didn't know and of course it would be okay. I picked Zeus up. No fur was trimmed, his butt was dirty as if they had cleaned his anal glands after his bath, and his face still had pink stains from chewing his bone. I was brought Zeus without a leash as well. So I asked if someone could please give me my leash. Everyone looked at me like I was crazy and people started frantically looking for his leash that I dropped him off with. Then to find out my leash was given to another customer. I have 105 lb dog he is a service animal with a special custom ordered red leash. His leash was given to another customer by accident and I In turn was given her leash clearly made for a for 20 lbs or less. There was no apologies, no offer to call the other client for my leash, and no offer of any reimbursement. As again previously stated I am non confrontational and just paid my bill and left with Zeus. This was the day before thanksgiving. I will not be returning here ever again and will be taking Zeus to Wilton's Manor going forward. Every time I went into this place something was disorganized with my experience. I am incredibly disheartened as this location was so convenient for me with work. I gave them multiple opportunities and every time I was disappointed. And I am the girl who is understanding and patient. If all this had happened to a customer who was less patient or easygoing as I there would have been chaos. read more

The other reviews stating they are rude is sadly true! When I first discovered Salon Bark, I loved it! There was a groomer there that was great! Very sweet,very caring, and did all to accommodate. I was bringing my shi tzu, and was so pleased with her haircuts that I brought our other doggie, a pomeranian. I had explained to the lovely groomer (Jennifer) how the Pomeranian had been butchered by a previous groomer and had lost his Undercoat due to that horrific previous grooming. Jennifer was so sweet, and assured me that our Pomeranian would be very carefully groomed and cut (and she understood that we were trying for the undercoat to grow back). When I picked up the Pomeranian, he was severely cut, and his head was gouged into. I did not realize hoe bad it was until we were home and saw that he was cut down to his pink scalp!!!! Because I was so happy with how they cut my shi tzu, I tried to overlook it. Well, when I brought back my shi tzu a few weeks later ( I was delaying because I was now uncertain due to the damaging haircut given to the Pomeranian), I had decided to mention it to Jennifer because she was so nice. She was apologetic, and looked up who gave the cut. It turned out to be a different groomer (which I had figured), and not her! I did tell her how when she and I had the conversation to groom and cut the Pom that I only wanted her for his grooming and she said it would only be her. What had happened?? She did not know, but cared enough to tell me that I should have called immediately and that if I had pictures still, that I should bring them in for her to see. I did what she suggested. When I showed her the picture upon picking up my shi tzu, the owner (who alway had an underlying rudeness), was rude and dismissive of her own caring employee!! And took zero responsibility for their terrible mishap to our Pomeranian. My husband was with me, who is always such a gentleman and an easy going person. He was appalled by her RUDENESS (that he previously had experienced from the owner and mentioned to me-- her previous inappropriate comments to him when he picked up our shi tzu once). I tried very hard to overlook the owner, because I thought Jennifer did such a great job. The way the owner was so rude to her own employee, took no responsibility for doing further damage to our pomeranian I suspected that she would be very angry at Jennifer ( her employee for being genuine). I had a sense that after we left the owner would reprimand Jennifer. I don't know if I am right , but Jennifer very, very shortly disappeared!!!!! She was their asset! I won't go back now, not to stress how it was always uncomfortable dealing with the rudeness of the owner ( I just overlooked it because Jennifer was great.) read more

I took my dog into the store for grooming for the first time after seeing it's cute store for the pst couple years. I only wish I'd brought her here sooner! Her cut was perfect - exactly what I had asked for and cut evenly throughout. This is the first time ever that I haven't taken her home and scissored her myself to trim her up more or even out her cut. And the store is adorable with awesome all-natural pet treats and cute women's clothing and accessories. Unlike someone else's comment, the pricing was what I had expected and the same as I've been paying for an inferior grooming for the past 2 years.
