WORST SALON I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. Shouldn't even be call a salon. OWNER CHEAP AND RUDE AND UNEDUCATED. The owner was super rude. I schedule make up and hair do for my sister, mom and I. We got there and she couldn't do an up do for me even thought she said she had experience with it. I ended up with a horrible thing that cost me 70 dollars!!! I mean, IT WAS HORRIBLE and fell off in an hour. The lady that did a blow out for my mom, kept using a curling iron for it and my mom kept correcting the way she wanted done. Because she kept ending up with CURLS not a blow out It was a real nightmare!! I mean you are supposed to sit and relaxed when in a salon. Not keep stressing about it. As for the make up the owner Erica said (when i called to make the appointments) that she worked with MAC products. Once there they were using non-brand products on my sister and Erica even gave her personal make up to the lady that was doing my sister's make up!!! When I complain about the make up, Erica said the make up lady had cancel her that morning and that's why she didn't have the MAC products. SHE STILL CHARGE US AS IF USING TOP OF THE LINE PRODUCTS....What i dislike the worst about was the owner dishonesty; she wasn't straight forward and didn't inform us that the make up artist didn't show up that morning she just put one of her staff to apply this really awful make up to my sister and probably hope we didn't notice. It wasn't until I complain about the products and how my sister looked that she told us about the make up artist not being there. Because of this place I ended up going to my cousin's wedding with no make up and a horrible thing in my head. All of us 3, sister, mom and I felt lied to and the owner was so rude about it all, didn't even apologize. It was a real nightmare and she ruin the entire experience for us. Having my hair trimmed even an inch always made me squirm in my seat because nobody ever cut it the way I liked it. I heard of Erica's salon from a friend who highly recommended her. When I got here greeted and taken care of right away. When it came time to cutting my hair, I originally wanted to trim 3-4 inches, but Erica convinced me to go short to let my curls grow out naturally with out any damage. I was hesitant about it, but I trusted her and 10 inches were cut off!! It was the BEST decision I had ever made, she made it look AMAZING! The hair cut was completely worth coming down from Silver Spring, Maryland and I am never going anywhere else! On top of things, I got a manicure by the sweetest young woman, she doesn't use any of the tools that many places do, she believes in natural and non damaging ways to treat nails. My gel manicure stayed for 3 weeks, when other salons usually start chipping off by 2 weeks. I went to Salon Bellisima for a haircut. Erica was my hair stylist and she did an awesome job! I got a lovely oatmeal hair mask before my cut that made my hair so silky smooth for days! Erica listened to exactly what I wanted and executed it perfectly. She cut my hair into a longer bob, added some texture. Bobs can be boring, but she did anything but that! The cut was perfect. She was also efficient, but I did not feel as though she was rushed. Service was prompt and quality. The prices are incredibly reasonable. I had never gotten my hair cut in the DC area before my trip to Salon Bellisima. I will not go elsewhere! Next time I visit the salon, I will most definitely do a dye in addition to a cut and blowdry. I went to Salon Bellisima yesterday and here is my experience. Color that I asked for, didn't match what I got. I was told that after a few washes, it will be lighter. I washed my hair few times since yestarday but color didn't change a bit. As you can see on the pics, one side of my forehead skin has dye spots and on the other side there, is a spot of grey hair not covered any color. My daugter picked out the color for me and when she saw me after the salon, she was very upset. I also noticed that my shirt was damaged by the bleach. The dye by itself, cost $120. read more

I've been to Salon Bellisima twice since it opened a few months ago and have been very happy with both of my experiences! The first time I went, I had a few inches cut off my hair and styled. The second time I had my nails done and my hair styled. Everyone at the salon from the shampoo girl, to the nail technician, to the hair stylist were very knowledgeable, friendly and did a great job! The prices are fantastic for this area and for the quality of service received. I will be coming back again and have recommended this salon to all of my friends! read more

Erica cut and styled my daughter's hair. It was a big change for my daughter - she had 12 inches cut off to donate towards wigs for kids with cancer. I was worried that she would lament the loss of her hair after being long for so many years. Erica gave her a gorgeous cut with a beautiful style to it and yet very manageable for my daughter to recreate! We are extremely pleased. This is probably the most competent colorist in the DMV. The owner is fantastic and is a complete master of hair color. I'm switching from my old master stylist at Jon David Salon in Arlington, who was great, to Salon Bellisima because what Alceita can do is AMAZING!!!!! Plus, the services are incredibly financially feasible. I probably shouldn't write this review because right now it's a hidden gem... but it's truly a great salon. sue is the absolute best! I followed her from her previous salon because she is one of the very few who knows how to do my hair! I have tried many different places, including high priced salons, yet she is the only who can get it right! From the best blow out to highlights and hair cut, she knows what she's doing and she's efficient! I have extremely thick hair and is some times hard for stylists to do, but Sue gets it right every time; and you can't beat the prices! I highly recommend Sue! read more
