Prior to leaving my previous hometown (Maryland) I had lightened my hair and dyed it fire engine red. Much like any red color, by 8 weeks it had faded significantly. This was largely my fault for not using red shampoo like should've. Because of this I searched for a new salon to call home. Salon Bombshell popped up on my yelp search. I looked through their photos and website. I liked what I saw. What I liked even more was that they had the option to book online. I hate making phone calls so this was magnificent. I booked a consultation with Anna and excitingly waited for the day. I came prepared with my inspiration photo. Initially I wanted to color correct my red but decided I just wanted to play off of it more. After looking at my hair and the photo, Anna told me it was definitely achievable. The only color she couldn't promise was the yellow. I was good with that as long as the result was as close as it could be. We agreed on an appointment and I eagerly counted down the days. The day of Anna was running a bit behind but it wasn't an issue. I would wait all day if I had to. That's how excited I was. We were only delayed for a bit and then it was my turn. We first attempted to bleach my tips in hopes of lightening the faded red I had. Well, Pravana apparently bonds very well. The bleach barely had any effect. Well, plan b. She would add the colors as planned and we'd just skip the yellow. I was 100% ok with that since, you know, I knew the yellow wouldn't happen and my photo was really just an inspiration. Anna came up with a brilliant idea, though. She would dye a few tape in extensions yellow and add them in at a later date. Excellent! I booked another appointment to get that done. While waiting I messaged her asking if we could also do orange since that was part of the color palette I was looking to achieve. She agreed to it and I was thrilled. The day had arrived and I could barely contain my excitement. When the time came to take a look I was stunned. It. Was. Beautiful. My entire goal for my hair was to make it look like fire. She definitely hit the mark on that. The added extensions really worked well. I was so excited to show it off. Anna really worked some magic. If you're looking for a great stylist, I highly recommend Anna. She knows her stuff and was a pleasure to work with. read more

I really hate leaving a bad review for this small business, because I love supporting small locally owned businesses, but I feel that I must write about my experience at Bombshells considering the haircut I walked out of the salon with. After recently moving to the area, I needed a new stylist to freshen up my grown out short hair style. I scheduled an appointment with the salon owner, Anna, based on the yelp reviews, for a chin length angled bob, even showing a picture of what I wanted before the haircut began. Sadly, I don't think Anna does many short haircuts like the one I requested because she demonstrated low confidence with her results to begin with, questioning out loud whether or not the lengths were even and asking me if it looked right. That was the first red flag, she's the professional stylist, not me! I rely on the stylist to know what they are doing! The second red flag was when she had to continuously even out the cut, and after I got home and used a straightening iron on my hair to check the cut some more, it's still not even with one side longer than the rest by about a quarter of an inch. I also discovered several 'tags' that make my hair look jagged instead of sleek and sophisticated. On top of all that, my bob is not even angled towards the chin, it is just a plain Jane bob and my son said I look like Lord Farquaad from Shrek. I will be visiting another salon in the area to attempt to get this cut fixed and hopefully styled the way I ask. Fingers crossed. Go to this salon I guess for longer hair styles. For shorter styles, look elsewhere. read more

I've gone to this salon many times, even though I don't live in the area. I've always been able to get in when needed and had good stylists. At my last appointment, I had a stylist I hadn't had before and I'm so glad I got scheduled with her. Brittany was so great, communicated up front what she was going to do so I was aware and could ask questions if needed. She also told me how much I should expect to pay, which was super helpful instead of waiting until the end. She fixed my color and gave me a great cut, which I got lots of compliments on! But the best thing about Brittany is what I learned about her. Over her years of being a stylist, she's gained a special clientele of women who have dealt with various types of trauma, and getting their hair cut could be a hard thing to do. She's developed an approach and demeanor that is sensitive and caring towards others that could be triggered easily. Darian did a great job at the color. I asked for a trim and she was about to start and another client came in and she stopped trimming. Only trimmed one section of hair. Where do I even start? There are not enough good things I can say about the ladies of Salon Bombshell. Tucked away in a quiet strip mall just behind the loud hustle and bustle this classy, relaxing oasis sits. It may be a little hard to find at first but no worries a quick call and Anna got me turned in the right direction and even came outside to help guide me in. ( I am not from the area). Once inside the ambiance was relaxing and inviting. I have been going to Stacey for about 1 1/2 years now. I​ had lost touch with her and had tried a few different stylest near where I​ live. Needless to say,​ I had been hopelessly​ disappointed. Fried, breakage, and awful color I was defeated. I reached out the last way I could think of and found Stacey. I came in for my appointment and started out crying and lost about what to do, but what hurt just as much was the look of pain and anger on Stacey and Anna's faces. I knew that I​ had come back to the right place and was in the best place possible. These ladies thought and chewed on every different option to keep as much of my hair as possible, and they did. Stacey went to work and once again she did her magic​. A few hours later I was no longer crying, my hair no longer felt like straw, my blonde was blonde, my chemically​ cut mullet was blended and actually had bounce and shape. I was sent home with homework and an array of different products. Now,​ these ladies have never pushed product on me before so when I was told honestly​ this is what I needed there was no question in my mind. I could sleep well last night knowing that I am on my way back to the beautiful hair I once had and I have no problem making the hour and a half drive to see these ladies! I know this was lengthy but there just are not enough ways to say good things about them.
