My son gave them a picture of what he wanted. They cut it and then told him they couldn't style his hair because they can't dip their hands in the gel / glaze right now as it's not sanitary. Really? Since when is it not sanitary to use a pump bottle, a small spatula, or simply wash your dang hands and dip them one time only? Must be nice to charge full price and only do half the job. We won't be back.

My stylist always talks things over with me, listens to my worries, since I have thin hair and works to make sure the cut I get is exactly what I want. The folks at the front desk are so lovely and helpful. They definitely contribute to the overall harmony of the environment. The whole salon is very nicely decorated. There are several fountains in the facility. Their sounds help soothe the tired and stressed. The furnishings are lovely and comfy as well. The Salon is pretty simply, but elegant. The washing area is quiet and has muted lighting, a nice touch. The spa area where people wait for mani/pedi and massage are very tranquil and comfy. I enjoyed the mani I got there. Service is the name of the game here, I must say. I especially like that I get reminder emails and/or text messages. I am kind of horrible about remembering my appointments, so this is exactly what I need. If you want pampering, friendly and helpful people and talented staff, this is the salon for you to go to. You will pay a premium for your services, but you will definitely get your money's worth.

She is the only person I (usually) let touch my hair because too many people have screwed it up in the past. After multiple, really great recommendations from family & friends, I went to Jessica yesterday for just a 3-4" cut to get the dead length off. I emphasized SO MUCH that it HAD to still have enough length to go into a full bun. Before I knew it, she had hacked at least 7 inches off the back of my head. It was well past my armpits & now it doesn't even touch the tops of my shoulders! I start to panic and she says "I guess I should have considered your hair is curly before I stretched the curls and cut." YOU EFFING THINK?! Curls BOUNCE UP! Hell even I know that! Then she tells me, "You know, I guess we just got to talking and we got distracted." WE?! No, you're the professional. It's YOUR JOB to pay attention. Look, I've had 2 major spinal surgeries in the last 3 years (with more in the future) & I'm forced to wear my hair up in a bun because my neck can't handle me trying to blow dry & flatiron my own hair. It takes 2 1/2 hours for me to do because of the thickness, frizz & natural curl) That absolutely destroys my neck & I lose all feeling in my hands and arms for days afterwards. I can get it professionally styled but I have so much hair that I'm charged $50-$75 PER blow-dry/flatiron appointment (that has to be done weekly) and I don't exactly have the extra funds to pay someone $250+ a month to do it professionally until this grows out!! I went in for a cut, not a brand new hairstyle. I don't understand how she let this happen except that she obviously does not know how to cut curly hair. That would have been nice to know beforehand... . I held in the tears as much as I could but I walked out sobbing and I haven't really stopped since. I'm devastated. She seemed like she felt bad but certainly not bad enough to not charge me. So now I get to live in hats for the foreseeable months (with this AWFUL 2" ponytail sticking straight out that I can't even wear high up at all because I don't have enough hair anymore) It's either that or I pull a Brittany Spears and shave my head and have the nervous breakdown I truly feel I deserve right now. As someone with chronic pain, all I wanted was to make life a little easier and now I get to live & deal with the exact opposite. Unreal.

First, I'm from out of town and checked google maps for haircut salons in the woodlands. Annie's popped up and somehow had almost 5 stars on there. DO NOT LISTEN TO THOSE REVIEWS. Either very biased and made by regulars or made by the owner herself. There is absolutely no way this place deserves anywhere near 5 stars. Second, I call in to make an appointment for 530 pm and Annie picks up the phone. She tells me she is already booked for 530 pm but if I can make it there in 15 min (at 515 pm) she can get started and finish up her other client's hair before she finishes mine. I drive across the woodlands and get there in exactly 15 min in order TO WAIT OVER AN HOUR. She failed to tell me she was already in a 5 pm appointment and didn't have time to "start my hair cut". Third, after finally getting seated at around 620 she starts to ask me what I want with my hair. After I begin explaining, she proceeds to apologize and go work on another woman's hair for 10 MINUTES while I sit in the chair. There was another stylist there, but she insisted that she take over and finish off the other client's hair cut. Fourth, after awkwardly waiting in this chair for her to finally begin my haircut, she finally finishes up and comes back to me. At this point I'm pretty irritated due to the fact that it's 630 pm and I called in at 5 pm for an appointment at 515 pm and she's just starting on my haircut. After very specifically telling her what I want again (I've been getting the same haircut for years and it's pretty easy/generic) she tells me that she does this all the time and not to worry. After finishing the sides, which I had to correct her probably 3 times on how I wanted them, she asked what to do on the top. I tell her to shorten it and to thin it A LITTLE. She then proceeds to thin my hair like there's no tomorrow. After I ask her what she's doing, she says -that it will look better if I keep it longer and have it thinned a lot (COMPLETE OPPOSITE OF WHAT I WANTED). My hair grows back very fast so I don't like to keep it extremely long. My hair literally looked like an Afro after this haircut and I'm visibly upset saying she thinned it way too much. Annie literally GIGGLES under her breath and tries to tell me "oh it looks so good on you".
