This place is amazing! I am new to Humble and did not have a permanent hairstylist, until now. Jenn is a great listener and did exactly what we had discussed, talking me through the whole process. She also created a comforting atmosphere for me and my children, making sure we had drinks and a place to sit right next to us. I went in to Neon Blonde Parlour this afternoon and had the loveliest time. Right when I walked in, I received the warmest welcome from an employee. The atmosphere here is immaculate, from the wall of records, to the vibrant stripes of color stretching from wall to wall, this salon is sure to catch your eye. My hair stylist Kris was super friendly, and sweet. She gave me one of my favorite haircuts I've ever received. She was very descriptive and detailed while she questioned me about what length and style I wanted when cutting my hair. Y'all save yourself. Do not go here. The girls literally bad mouthed all their customers that spoke up about what they wanted and how they wanted to look. Some of them said "pray for me" as they were going to go do someone's hair and acted all nice to their face. I am in shock how they speak about people that are paying them to boost their self confidence while they are literally putting you all down behind your backs. Secondly, I went in to get my hair done, I never get to do anything for myself since I'm a full time working single mom of 2 under 2. And my friend offered to pay for my hair. I show a picture of a sun kissed balayage and I come out with nothing that I asked for. I have ashy toned highlights from root to about half my hair, and the bottom of my hair is the same as when I went in. Balayage is ends to about crown area and then they leave your natural hair color at the root. I literally got opposite of what I asked for and I was charged for balayage when I in fact received highlights which is half the price. It's no where near the color I wanted and no where near the color style I wanted. In fact both are opposite. I look like the great value version of the Pinterest photo. I went in saying I know it can't be an exact match, but I didn't think I would get nothing I asked for or not even something close to resemblance of the photo. She didn't even curl or style my hair she blow dried it and that was it. I asked them to at least give the difference of my money back. Since I received a highlight that's $185 and I paid for a balayage which is $215 but ended up being $255. So I asked for the $70 difference and they literally said no. And offered me to come in to "fix it". I was scared to even say anything to them since they bad mouthed every customer but like I said I never have the time or money to do this type of self love and I literally came out not liking my hair and not liking the way those ladies put down their customers behind their backs. I can't imagine how they are talking about me now since I have spoke up. At first I wanted them to fix it, and they said no, then I asked for money back and now they want to fix it but I am not the type to go somewhere I know I've been talked badly about behind my back. It will be awkward and uncomfortable. I never write bad reviews but my stylist was Ashley. If you look on the reviews no one reviews her probably because she doesn't do anything amazing. I am sad I have hair I don't like and I am sad i wasted my friends money and I now have to pay to go somewhere else to get it fixed. I'm sad these girls are paid to boost our confidence and put us down behind our backs in front of other customers. I'm overall sad about this whole experience. This is the only salon I have ever been to that I walk out loving my hair and not having to ask everyone else how they feel about it. Time and time again, Neon Blonde Parlour NEVER disappoints! Got my routine highlights and extension move up done today and as always, it's perfect. My hair has come such a long way back to healthy ever since I started coming here. I used to think I'd never have shiny, strong, fast growing hair ever again but they've seriously brought my hair back to life. Warning! These people are racists and the owner will give her clients your information to harass and bully you.To begin with the owner spoke the whole time very loudly about her in-laws, how they have custody of someone's child in her husbands family (personal information) I showed the stylist a picture of what I wanted, she could have told me that she was not able to recreate that color and I would have understood! The owner posted on her business page that all her stylist did to me was wet my back and that I reacted by throwing her blow dryer which is a fabricated lie, as I'm sure she lies plenty! I have a few complaints about this establishment.1.The stylist started by getting water into my ears (I was given a dirty rag for that) mind you I have sensitive ears and get frequent ear infections 2.After the ear incident she continued by getting water down my back and in the post she stated it was my fault because I was on my phone and would not lean back if anyone has had their hair washed knows u have to be laying down on that sink so don't say I would not lay back (ANOTHER LIE) 3.The stylist did not even towel dry my hair just threw another dirty rag, not even a hair towel so now my ear has water, my back is completely wet(at that point who would not be completely upset) I still allowed her to continue to try and make the situation comfortable for me 4.She gets her blow dryer and uses the cold air setting and starts throwing cold air with my back still wet and it's 50 degree out I don't think you need to be a genius to know better! 5.I let her know the color is not what I asked for, she offered highlights I declined I did not want to continue any service with this person! 6.She said a racial slur about how that color suited my skin tone more (I am mixed race) 7. I asked her if her blow dryer had hot air setting because I was done at this point, and wanted to get the back of my shirt dry 8.she is using the right brush to blow dry my hair (you should know what brush to use to blow dry someone's hair ) That to me was the end of that service I tossed her blow dryer on the shelf mind you where the mirror is, THE BLOW DRYER SHE IS ACCUSING ME OF THROWING AND BREAKING. If I had thrown that blow dryer her mirror would have completely shattered! Now I tell her to charge me even though all of the crap I went through I still want to pay her for the shi++y treatment and job she gave me! I paid for a retouch which is what she did and I pulled my card and still said THANK YOU and left, the OWNER which was wearing shorts with crocs runs out and stops me to try and make it seem like she was going to confront me (EVEN POSTING A COMMENT ON HER PAGE THAT SHE WANTED TO FIGHT ME which I would have loved for her try and do that I would have knocked her on her ass) if everything is ok I said no everything is not ok and I say I did NOT get the service I asked for and still have all my back soaked in 50 degree weather the owner instead of trying to get more information and fixing the situation starts to turn and say I'm not allowed back (I would not go back, even if u paid me p€ndej@!) The owner then gives her clients obviously my 1st and last name because they start sending me request on Facebook right after I leave then she makes a post on her business Facebook page with my name so her client can stalk, bully and start harassing me on social media, which they did! 6 people harassed me and even the owner, even after telling her to stop harassing me! She begins to tell me I better give them 200 for a blow dryer that was broken or she was going to call the cops on me and get an attorney and sue me, I will be waiting on her attorney to contact me! This salon is disgusting and the owner is a disgusting human being!!! Be aware RACISM is not OK and they should not be in business!!! read more
