Well needless to say, we will be on the hunt for a better spot- FOR SURE. Here's what our feedback was to the establishment since they asked, and I decided to share here in case it's helpful to anyone thinking about going here: "The overall experience was disappointing and did not meet the standards expected of a professional wellness or spa environment. The walk between buildings felt awkward and disjointed, and the areas where services were provided were visibly unclean. This immediately detracted from the sense of calm and comfort that clients typically seek when booking spa services. The sauna instructions were overly complicated and nonintuitive. Rather than supporting a seamless, stress-free experience, the setup required unnecessary effort and attention at a time when guests should be able to arrive, decompress, and enjoy the service. One of the facials was particularly concerning. The provider fell out of her chair during the session, left the room for approximately 15 minutes within the allotted service time, and complained openly about missing supplies that had not been ordered. Her presentation and behavior appeared impaired or otherwise not fully attentive, which was alarming in a setting where professionalism, focus, and client safety are expected. There were also sanitation concerns. Gloves were not worn during the sessions- in particular extractions & close facial work, which raised hygiene and safety questions. Given the nature of skincare treatments and direct contact with facial areas, adherence to clear sanitation protocols is critical. Both facials were performed below expected standards. Product application felt careless rather than intentional for both clients. Creams were applied in a manner that resulted in product entering the nostril area for both clients. In one instance, the technician had to awkwardly clean the inside of a nostril during the service, which was unexpected and uncomfortable (and something never experienced prior). In the other facial, cream entered the nostril and remained there throughout the session, creating concern about inhalation; the client ultimately had to clean it out herself after the session. This experience was distracting and far from relaxing. Additionally, massage and sculpting techniques reflected a noticeable lack of refinement and training, particularly for clients accustomed to higher-quality services. Overall, the experience lacked attentiveness, professionalism, cleanliness, and the level of care expected in a premium setting."

Plenty of seating with some double size lounge couches. Typically it is very quiet but they do allow children so if the kids come it can get a little less Zen. Besides the pool and spa services they have separate male/female Locker rooms with Steam Rooms , Sauna and showers. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Often they even serve Champagne complimentary. It's very relaxing and we visit several times a year . Great for a quick getaway - Plus it's in the Ritz so you have the 5 Star service , restaurant , bar, lounge and rooms to go along with it. Next time in DC check this place out and be sure to visit the Spa ! The staff at the Spa makes the experience even better ! - so check them out you will be back !!

My husband purchased a full body massage as a birthday gift for me at this spa. I was so excited (…read morebeing a mum - I don't ever go for massages anymore). He told me that he prefilled all the forms in so that I didn't need too. He specifically wrote that I do not like hard pressure massages and that I would like a light pressure massage. He also put down all my injuries and allergies. I mention this because I had an injury on my foot. The parking area is pretty easy to navigate and they do validate your ticket. Upon arrival I was greeted by the front desk receptionist who was really pleasant and offered me water or Champaign. I don't drink so I opted for water. They should definitely introduce non alcoholic drinks as well. When walking in the change room, I was vey underwhelmed. It was very small and there was signs on the walls asking guests to be quiet as the spa rooms were actually basically in the change rooms. It was bizarre. Also they don't have any hairdryers so I had to leave with wet hair in very cold weather - not ideal. They can't really have you drying your hair when the treatment rooms are so close I guess. They have plastic slippers ( while this makes sense for the steam room and pool etc, it is not comfortable). The treatment room I entered was in the change room( lol). The lady that massaged me kept repeating her name for some reason. Anyway- we started and it was probably one of the worst massages I had in my life. The pressure was extremely hard to the point of painful as she kept pulling my skin and I felt her nails in my skin. I asked her to lighten the pressure and it was at a point where I just wanted it to be over because she just wasn't listening to me and my body was in tense mode the entire time. She tried to massage my foot which i told her not too due to my injury and I'm like " didn't you read my form". What is the point you complete a form if the therapist doesn't read it. After the torture was over I was like - let me try the steam room and pool to assist with my abused body. The pool was nice but the jacuzzi didn't work. The steam room and sauna was nice but tiny. Now let me tell you about the showers. They only have two showers across from each other ( one is for people with disabilities and the other not). When I put the shower on I couldn't understand why the temperature of the water was not getting warm. Then I realized they installed the fixture incorrectly and hot is cold and cold is hot. Come on!!! You make so much money- surely you can fix that. I was like wtf at this point. Ok so then I went to check out the relaxation room. Um... yeah total joke. They have a kettle and a box with tea bags. Have they not heard of an urn that just gives hot water. So they would rather you fill the kettle and warm the water yourself. There was no snacks and right next to the relaxation area is a place people go to get nails done. So I didn't really relax there at all. Please don't waste your time and money at this place. I had to lie to my hubby and say it was great because I didn't want him to feel disappointed as he did get this experience for me as a birthday gift. Improvements ? I think the first thing I would say is get better massage therapists that actually listen to the client. Then move your treatment rooms and get a better relax area. This spa will close at some point because I don't know how sustainable there current " let's just get away with as little as we can " approach can go. From a hotel with such a good reputation- this spa was far from that.

Unfortunately, my experience with the glycolic peel was not a good one. The esthetician was late, and the appointment felt hurried and somewhat stressed from there. During the treatment, water was accidentally splashed onto my chest, and later some of the glycolic peel actually got into my eye, which was pretty startling. There was also a communication barrier that made it difficult to ask questions about what she was doing. I've had peels before, so I was surprised that I felt absolutely nothing from this one -- no tingling or sensation at all -- even after several layers were applied. I mentioned this during the appointment, but a week later I still had no peeling, dryness, change in texture, or really any noticeable response from my skin. At $200, I left feeling disappointed and, unfortunately, like I hadn't gotten what I paid for. I want to be fair in saying that the owner herself was truly lovely, and I can see from other reviews that many people have had wonderful experiences here, particularly with the massages. I can only speak to my own experience with this particular service and esthetician, but based on that experience, I wouldn't recommend the glycolic peel.

The check-in and retail area is bright and well-curated. Kinh was the attendant and she was wonderful. I checked in and then went into the tea lounge for relaxation. Kinh then took myself and another guest to the spa area. The spa amenities are downstairs, but treatment rooms are both upstairs and downstairs. The elevator is located in the main hotel so if you need to use it, you must leave the spa. The locker room is fine. There are a few showers, plus some vanities and toiletries. What is really nice about this spa is the vitality pool. For amenities, they have a steam room, sauna, vitality pool, and relaxation lounge. The vitality pool is the biggest part of a spa experience for me, and many spas in this area do not offer that. The one here is sparkling clean and warm. And I went early enough that I had it to myself, which was even better. Sauna and steam room were lovely and I appreciate the eucalyptus cooling towels. The relaxation lounge is great. The snacks are not. The offerings are fresh fruit, pretzels, mixed nuts, and wasabi peas, along with spa water and two types of tea. The pretzels were stale. I recommend a snack mix, a trail mix, and maybe something sweet along with fruit and beverages. I've had much better spa snacks. I inadvertently booked a facial without extractions, which is honestly pointless. However, it was very relaxing, and I did feel myself starting to fall asleep a few times, and since I was visiting for relaxation, I didn't mind. I would never book it again though and my skin didn't look all that great after. The spa lacks the elegance and ritual that was included when it was Mandarin Oriental. I was really trying not to compare, but it's hard. Even arrival was a downgraded experience because none of the doormen assisted with exiting the car (same upon leaving). I'd return for a treatment that I was really looking forward with hopes that some improvements have been made.

As a heads up: mineral oil will be used, so be prepared to be covered in it. Final Thoughts: If you are not used to full body spa massages, the pricing is steep but comparatively it is competitive for the area, especially if you get June. The first time I went, my body really felt brand new afterwards. Highly recommend her!

We showed up early as instructed, only to find the door locked. Lights off. No staff. Nothing. Their sign said Sunday "By Appointment Only," yet apparently even when you have an appointment, no one shows up. I called their Bethesda location, and the first receptionist claimed we weren't in the system--even though I booked on Wednesday at 2:22 PM (I checked my call log and took a screenshot). Someone took all of my details including my credit card, but somehow my appointment "didn't exist." Then the owner got on the phone and said she actually could see me in their system but didn't know what happened. She blamed a software switch on Tuesday... but I booked on Wednesday. So that excuse made no sense. Her only solution was to ask if we could come tomorrow. No, we actually can't--because unlike her business, we plan ahead. I took the weekend off from my real estate schedule to celebrate. We booked a hotel in Tysons, hired a dog sitter, and made a whole day of this. And it was completely wasted. What really stunned me was the total lack of care. No apology that felt meaningful. No attempt to make it right. No offer of a complimentary service. Nothing. I'm a business owner myself, and I would never handle a mistake like this this way. Our anniversary plans were basically ruined because this spa didn't bother to honor our confirmed appointment--or provide any real remedy afterward. Don't waste your time or money here. If they can't handle a simple booking, I wouldn't trust them with anything else either.

They want you to get a "spa" experience but it totally depends on who your massage/table scrub-shower masseur is. In my case, the kid (Asian American, very slim, stylish, young, but not friendly, extremely standoffish and unpleasant behaviour) who was my masseur did not make it a good experience for me. I'd heard good thing from others and read from reviews but my experience was unfortunately lacking. The whole time I had the table massage shower thing I was thinking "wow this is bad. I feel like I'm in a car wash that is way over priced" I've had tons of Korean spa scrubs and this wasn't even close. This was barely memorable. The massage afterwards was ok but not the best I've had. I told the masseur I had asked for deep tissue and he said he doesn't do deep tissue and usually isn't at that location. And then asked me to stop talking (but I was asking for the modality I asked for!) - the whole time he was quite rude and clearly distracted. Won't be going back. Note: yes I am aware different therapists can make the experience different but quality control has to come from the top. If you have to bring someone in as I asked for a male therapist, then don't just get someone who is bored / unhappy to be there, and makes it known to the client that he is not into the massage and got called in last minute about 3 hours before. Coincidentally 3 hours before is when *i called Prince salon and spa to confirm my appointment, the timing makes me think they forgot my appt and planned late. Also made my appt well in advance so they could have had someone there who cares about being there. Don't go! Go get a scrub at spa riverside instead!
