My hair is naturally very dark and my roots are always hard to pull but after 10 years, she had it down to a science. When I moved, she gave me the flash card she kept for my visits with a detailed breakdown of the steps it takes to get my roots to the perfect blonde. My appointments took no longer than 2.5 hours or less and I only needed my hair toned 1 time and cost around $95 - $115, depending on what I was doing with my hair. After looking around for a new stylist, I settled on Moda Milano as the salon seemed very professional, with a full service list with pricing. A full head of foils is listed as $115. When I made the appointment, I gave them a detailed run down of what I needed and was told it would be $115. Awesome! Or so I thought...my appointment was at 2:30 and I didn't even get in the chair until 3:30 or later...I gave the stylist the detail card of how to do bleach my hair. She barely looked at it then handed it back to me...it was literally 5 simple steps. Fast forward close to 5 hours and THREE toners later and i'm just done at this point. The salon is empty as everyone had gone home that worked there and the stylist then tells me "that's $195". WHAT?!!! I told her that I was quoted $115 and have never spent more than that in my life. She then said "well it was alot of work".... I was so angry because I KNEW she wasn't just following what I showed her and said "It's never taken more than 2 and a half hours to do my hair". She ended up taking $10 off. TEN FREAKING DOLLARS. The next day, I started doing my hair and I found that my entire head has spots like the photo i've included....my ENTIRE head. Save yourself the time and frustration and skip this salon.

They were super responsive and after a few messages back and forth they booked me for an appointment the next day! When I came in to meet Raquel she was super sweet, friendly, and easy to talk to! It was like I already knew her! Since no one has touched my hair in years aside from one person I had my head set on just getting a trim because I'm picky and I was so nervous, but after talking to her a bit I decided to let her take her vision and give me some layers and angles and try something new. I'm so glad I did! She did an amazing job and I'm so obsessed with how my hair came out I can't stop staring at it!!! I think I'll keep it this way for a while now! The Salon itself is gorgeous as well! The interior is so classy and they have a cute little shop up front for accessories and even some clothes! They also offer a huge variety of services so I'm definitely going to have to try more out there as time goes on! It'll be nice to have a one stop shop for all my beauty needs! I cannot wait to go back I think I've finally found another stylist that's allowed to cut my hair! Which is a huge deal for me! This time, my friend was not happy with her hair cut, she wanted a light wispy bangs, but the service did not deliver. On my case, I wanted a butterfly cut with face framing. I showed my hair lady what I wanted and she seemed like she knew what she was doing. Side note, I used to get butterfly cut with face framing all the time, so I've watched my old hairstyler do their thaang. My experience was nothing short of phenomenal. She took time with me and gave great suggestions on how to correct the issues with the color, and blend everything beautifully. The hair cut that followed was perfect, she knew exactly what I wanted and more importantly what I needed. She also showed new ways to style it, which knocked off years from my appearance. Unfortunately, she had to answer to phone for the salon or stop what she was doing to sweep up hair from other stylists on the floor when they were done - even when she had me as a client in her chair! I was paying the same amount as any other client there, FYI and there was other staff that could have answered the phone or swept up their own client's hair. It was ... weird and disrespectful to her and me. Back in May when my neck was *bent over backwards in the bowl* while the foils/highlight was being washed out of my hair, she left me there for at least 5 minutes to schedule appointments for other stylists! Yes, other staff was there and my neck was killing me. There were always other people there to answer the phone - they just made her do it. Yesterday, she sat me in the chair and we were about to start, but she had to stop and wash the hair of *two* clients for the owner. After 20 minutes, I finally walked out, realizing that while they might not value her, I value the money I am spending there! I understand small business, but I was paying the normal rate like everyone else, yet I was treated with a lack of respect because I had the "young" stylist. Just be warned when you make an appointment here to get the owner, not a new person. By the way, their prices aren't any better than other salons so I moved to another salon THAT VALUES EVERY CLIENT and their young stylists. That means something to me.
