You speak as though you know Monica well, yet your claims remain unfounded as you failed to cite any specific examples/reasons why she "should retire"or why your experiences are "horrible". A "drinking problem"? "Personal Issues"? Really?? Well, obviously you've come to this conclusion over time and after several appointments with Monica, right? Couldn't diagnose that in just one sitting. If its a problem, it must be an ongoing issue. Still, I wonder why you would continue to use Monica's services if you feel so strongly about her. Certainly if there was any legitimacy to your claims, you'd be the fool. Monica has been cutting my hair for over 20 years and has never been anything but the consummate professional. As someone with a very difficult hairline, Monica has never failed to make me look and feel my best. Despite several moves, I have followed Monica to a number of salons; traveling as far as one hour for an excellent haircut and great conversation. Kim G., you sound desperate. Your childish, personal vendetta against Monica is transparent and you need to find another hobby. I have known Monica for more than 15-years. Like the other stylists, she is a skilled professional. I believe she has an eye for detail and remains current with industry trends to meet the demands of her clients. Monica receives my highest recommendation and contrary to February's poorly written and jaded review, she certainly isn't old. read more

In response to Kim G - are you sure you are talking about Monica? I have been going to her for over 20 years and she has been nothing but professional and always gives her best. She comes up with new ideas and is always always there to please. She keeps up with the latest trends and is probably one of the best, if not the best stylist in Derry! As far as being ready to retire, I pray nothing is further from the truth. I actually worry that she is going to leave me and she is far from old. For the record, I am the real Kim G. That has been going to Monica for over 20 years. I have never had a problem with her or any haircut I have ever had and believe me there have been a lot. She is a close personal friend who spoke at my mothers funeral. I am upset that someone with an alternative agenda would fraudulently use me to tarnish Monica's reputation. I don't know what Kim G. is talking about. I got another great haircut and color from Monica today. I get compliments all the time about how my hair looks and many of the compliments come from teenagers I work with. If you want someone good to work on your hair you need to ask for Monica. She has been taking care of me, my husband, and our daughter for over 20 years and we love what she does for us. read more

Monica has been doing my hair for since my daughter was born and she is 28! She is very dependable when scheduling appointments but most important she guides me on what not to do with my hair and what would be a more appropriate. I'm certainly not ready for her to retire that would be my worst nightmare! read more
