She is young and is building her client base but don't let that scare you. She is sweet, bubbly and adorable. Another stylist gave her some tips on how to do my hair which was fine and I loved that they were looking out for each other. I received color services with an amazing scalp/neck massage during the shampoo, a trim, and style. I am SO pleased with the services and how my hair turned out. I will definitely return.

That ended the day Meredith--a so-called "Top Tier Stylist"--butchered my hair beyond repair. After 1.5 years of growing it out, I asked for a light trim. Instead, she razored through my hair from every angle. I couldn't see the back until it was too late. My hair was left shredded, uneven, and destroyed. Even Meredith looked shocked by how much she'd cut off. When I returned, her only response was, "Aww, I'm sorry you don't like your cut." That's not an apology--that's condescension. The owner, Lisa Travis, refunded the cut but refused to take any real responsibility. I asked if they'd help cover the cost of corrective work--she smugly declined, claiming extensions "weren't possible." She was wrong. Other stylists proved it could be done and temporarily fixed what Jungle Red ruined. Their "top-tier" ranking system is a joke. Meredith lacks skill and judgment, and Lisa Travis clearly doesn't value her clients enough to make things right. It's been 10 MONTHS, and my hair still hasn't recovered. I'm posting photos so you can see the damage for yourself. Do not trust this salon. They do not stand behind their work.

The location: very nice, cozy, and clean. The vibe: Jess (the owner) is very kind and sits you down with what they could do and does a thorough analysis on your expectations. What surprised me the most is that their services are gratuity free and they don't charge you extra at checkout like a lot of other salons do which is a big plus. The products: their coloring products are ammonia free, which is great! Raven is often fully booked, so a lot of people get their appointment booked with her a month in advance so she is definitely amazing at what she does. She always made sure I was comfortable and it was honestly the best blow out I've ever had. It was a full on consultation. I learned so much from her! Definitely easy to converse with, explain how your lifestyle is (to ask for tips + post hair care), and she works with you regarding what you want and makes suggestions. Guess they didn't take me serious about asking for the same level of stylist. I didn't ask for someone cheap. The haircut I received was NOTHING like the initial photo grouping that I had asked for. She took over a foot off of the back of my head and now it feels like I have a bald area in the back. I can't get it fixed because the top layers are so short they almost touch the top of my ears. Mind you my hair was past my cleavage. The sides don't match in length or thickness. It looks like I have the Kate plus eight haircut with a mullet length attached on the bottom. Almost like the jellyfish hair. If don't style my hair at all and it looks like shit. I even mentioned that I air dry and I like having my hair up. I can't have all of my hair up anymore. I can't air dry anymore. I wish I had never even saw this place. I can't even fix it for at least few months now and I'm supposed to get married in less than a year....

The location is easy to find. Emily was waiting for me in the lobby and greeted me by name. Her station is very clean and she sweeps after every client. The Feng Shui restful vibe is so serene that I almost feel asleep. I left totally refreshed and revitalized. This isn't a haircut folks, it is an experience. I haven't felt this pampered in years! She shampooed, cut, styled, and blew dried for over and HOUR! I haven't looked or felt this good about myself in a while. All this for $15? Are ya kidding me? This is the best deal in town. The booking process was very easy - they do require a deposit for services over $200 but the deposit goes to the service so you are kind of saving yourself cash when booking ahead! I was booked with Madison King - she was phenomenal from the PREconsultation email to actually doing my hair - she let me know what she was doing every step of the way! Since I was booked for a model call I wasn't expecting to get to pick my colors but I love how I was given a choice - I told her blue and sea green and what I ended up with is incredible! Madison is so talented for being only 21 and I will definitely be back for another service in the future even with this salon being over 45 minutes from me - it is worth the drive!

I first went in May, having (mostly) grown out a disastrous, mangled haircut (received in December from another stylist in another city). I was very impressed that both the owner and my stylist took the time that day to examine the remnants of the old, shoddy cut so that they understood what the hair situation was, exactly, before launching into a rescue effort. We determined that I'd still have to grow the bad cut out for a few more months, but they were able to give me the beginnings of the cut I wanted. This morning, stylist DJ worked me in (they were busy, busy!) for a shampoo, cut, and style. She was very careful to make sure she understood exactly what I was asking for before cutting the first strand of hair, being sure to nail down precisely what I wanted in terms of length, finishing, etc. When she was done, I had exactly the cut I'd been searching for! Prices seem almost ridiculously cheap (neither of my visits for a shampoo/cut/style cost me more than $25), but I'm not going to complain! :) Just tip well; these ladies work hard! While there, I watched other haircuts and color jobs. Everyone was handled with professionalism and courtesy, and despite the hectic Saturday schedule, they still took the time to make every new customer who came in feel welcome, even offering refreshments while you wait. The shop offers your standard shampoo/cut/style along with color services, and they also have waxing, mani/pedi, and massage services available. I already plan on scheduling a hair color appointment with them soon, based upon how they treated me during my two visits so far. And I'm considering booking myself for a massage therapy session, too. I'm happy to recommend this salon.
