I think I may have found my go to salon. Ebony did a wonderful job! She was a pleasure to work with from scheduling and accommodating my schedule that can be challenging at times. When I got in the chair she really listened to what I wanted or thought I wanted. She helped guide me to what I liked and executed the cut. It was truly a great experience. I am so embarrassed to post my "before" photos. My hair was done just a month prior by another hair salon. It looked terrible... she did a teasy blonde and didn't blend the color well... there was an obvious line across my hair! The cut was also very uneven. Ebony did an amazing job with fixing the color and cut. The color is closer to what I wanted and she blended it in so it was natural. Went for a shampoo and blowout appt and didn't really expect nothing crazy, but got booked with Rachael and she's amazing. Such a fun and relaxing vibe there. I would not recommend Shear Hotness. I had my hair and makeup trial the month before my wedding at Bombshell Beauty Bar (took 6 weeks for Tina to respond to schedule). I will leave my makeup artist unnamed as she was unlicensed at the time of my trial (4/9/22), which is illegal in the state of Ohio to practice and receive compensation in a salon if you are unlicensed. Tina said she had a boutique registration license and I called the state cosmetology board and confirmed that she did not (she now has an active boutique registration license, but it became active over a month after the date of my service). She used Maybelline foundation and drug store concealer. Not against drug store products at all, but surprised for how much money I was paying ($100 for makeup trial) and the contract said "high end products." I ended up not liking my makeup look. I felt very washed out and pale. I explained that I wanted a more bronzed look since I would have a spray tan on my wedding day. She was very kind to me and was willing to make corrections. Five to ten minutes was spent making changes to my makeup. My makeup trial lasted an hour and a half and this ran into my hair trial. So once I got to Brittany for hair, she was rushed. I tried to make suggestions, but she did not have time to make changes (due to a client waiting) but again, she was very nice to me and professional. I was left disappointed that I paid $100 for a rushed hair trial and I was unable to get the full vision of my wedding hair. After the trial, they have you go into an office to talk about your experience with Tina. I told Tina that I would like another trial so I can have a better idea about what I will look like my wedding day. Tina said that I was given a "fair hair and makeup trial" and if I want another one then I would have to pay for it. Shortly after, Ebony (the owner) came into the office and talked to Tina as if I was not sitting there explaining that people do not understand that the face color needs to match the neck. At first I did not think she was talking about me because she was very expressive with an attitude and talking with her hands... until she looked at me and told me that I can go home and put my foundation on my face and see how it looks... in reference to me telling the MUA that I wanted a more bronzed look. I was appalled. Ebony then asks to see my phone with my inspo photo and put it on top of her phone with a photo of me to compare and said that my skin tone does not match the photo. I felt like I was being mocked. I understand that the face and the neck need to match in color. I was simply explaining that I am usually more tan and will be my wedding day. Completely shocked, I told Ebony and Tina that I was so thrown off by what was happening and I started sobbing. I was not crying because of my hair and makeup, I was crying because of how Tina and Ebony were talking to me. I was not met with compassion or empathy as I sat there and cried for an hour and a half. They just blankly stared at me with a flat affect. I was told how normal it is to cry during a trial. I am still shocked at how I was talked to and treated given that I was a paying customer, let alone the bride, that anticipated spending $1,600+ in services. Under NO circumstances was that appropriate or "normal." At the end, Ebony said I could do another trial. There was no way I was going to return to a salon where I felt totally disrespected and the experience left me with anxiety. There are multiple bad reviews on Bombshell Beauty Bar's Google/FB page with Ebony's responses that I wish I would have read before booking. Brides or anyone planning to receiving hair and makeup services, do not sign a contract with Shear Hotness as you have to pay 50% of services up front. I unfortunately lost over $600+ in services that I never received, but honestly I would have done whatever I needed to as long as I did not have to deal with the unprofessionalism of this owner/salon again. I walked away from a loss of $600+ one month before my wedding and that should speak for itself. read more

I love this place and the owner Ebony! She is not only professional and knowledgeable, she is a sweet heart! It was my first time coming to this place. I needed my hair colored just black.. seems simple. Ebony used great products on my hair leaving it with an even color and looking/feeling healthy and shiny! As a military spouse, we move A LOT. Trying to find the right people to help you is often super challenging and is usually by word of mouth. Well, when we moved here to Ohio a little over a year ago, I asked about the best hair salon and stylist and Bombshell was recommended to me. The reviews said all the stylists were wonderful (and they are) but I kept hearing about Ebony, the owner. I checked her out on social media and her work looked BEAUTIFUL!! I made an appointment with her, but still wasn't really sure how it was going to go when I got there. From the moment I walked in, she made me feel comfortable, at ease and like we had been friends for YEARS!! She is so kind, extremely professional and just a blast to be around. So yeah, she's awesome but you know what's even more amazing!? HER TALENT!! WOW!!! I have seen many hairstylists in my life but she took my hair to a WHOLE DIFFERENT LEVEL!! She's what I like to call a COLOR GENIUS!! I always come in with an idea and she just completely blows my mind with how she concocts exactly what I want!! She is truly a gem with incredible talent and it is a blessing to know her and have her do my hair!! I can't wait for the next time she gets to make this mane even more beautiful than the last!!! Bombshell Beauty Bar is the most talented AND most fun salon I've ever been to. Ebony, Lauren and the rest of the team are very welcoming and take the time to understand what you want. When my color turned out (beautiful) but slightly lighter than I envisioned, Ebony fixed it on the spot and thanked me for telling her because the team really strives to give their clients what they want. They are also very good with using current/trendy techniques. I've sent several friends here and all have been very appreciative for the great recommendation based on how their hair turned out and the experience they had at the salon. Very dissatisfied with the service. Asked for a color and didn't turn out to satisfaction. Faded to Pink very first wash with Luke Warm water. Wow. Went back bc I had no choice but to have ot changed bc I can't walk around with pink hair was charged again and still looks like crap. Left with wet hair bc she had another customer. Still has pink even after color change. Was charge a total of $440 for hair that looks like complete crap and will need to be fixed. Customer service with the owner ebony was terrified and she tried to justify why mu hair faded. I've had red before and it never turned out like this. read more
