How do I make an appointment?

Where would one park if they were visiting the salon? I live an hour away and I'm unfamiliar with the area.

There is parking all along the street on two sides of the salon. Parking is 75 cents an hour. You will love this salon! Kim and her crew are fantastic!

I've been to this salon three times now since moving to Ann Arbor, after a friend recommended it…read moreand I'm so glad she did. I always book with Cameron Hawley, and honestly, he just gets hair. I don't trust many people with mine because it's taken me a long time to grow it out and take care of it, but he was the first person to cut it after two years of no trims, and I've been coming back every three months ever since. My hair has never felt better. I also brought my mom once, she wanted a short haircut, but Cameron made a better recommendation based on her face shape, and it turned out amazing. She left feeling so confident and beautiful! I've also been doing the strengthening treatment with my cuts, and it's made my hair noticeably healthier and shinier. This time around, I came in for a trim and a Keratin Express treatment, and the results were wowwwww. With all the rain lately, I usually get a ton of frizz, but this treatment actually works and is totally worth the hype. I also picked up a few products Cameron recommended including a mousse, an anti‑frizz serum, and a thermic treatment. Full disclosure: I'm a Kérastase lover and have been using the brand for years, but I didn't know about these specific treatments. Now I'm obsessed. My hair feels so smooth, glowy, and healthy. If you're picky about who touches your hair, Cameron is your guy. I couldn't be happier with the results every single visit!!!!

My name is Karissa Shannon, I am a high profile/recognizable celebrity Playboy playmate. I have…read morebeen in the entertainment industry for over 17 years. I have always been platinum blonde. I was getting my hair color done by Julia every 5 to 6 weeks just the roots and she fried the crown of my hair to the point where it feels like straw and is broken off! I will attach photos to my review. She was more concerned about timing and getting me in and out as quick as possible within the hour. She did not care about the health of my hair. She was using 40 volume and lying to me and telling me it was only 20 volume and she put me under the heater so of course the crown of my hair broke where the heater circulates. So the top of my head is only 2 inches now I can literally make a mohawk out of the top of my head only. It's going to take me years to grow it back. I'm not trying to write a whole paragraph but Julia did tell her Manager that I was upset about the breakage, and the only thing the manager offered was a free Kerastase protein/conditioning treatment. Since I'm in the entertainment industry, this has caused big problems for me as I have interviews lined up this month with us weekly, People Magazine, Dr. Phil, etc. Since all of the breakage, I had to get extensions to cover up all the breakage so One One Nine Salon suggested I go to Sarah who works there for extensions, she charged me $2800 for the extensions and an additional $500 to do my color which was Baby root not even a half inch and she broke my hair even more coloring the ends to try and blend the extensions with my real hair and it broke off. The extensions she put in after three nights of sleeping started to break my hair off and become so loose that it was hanging off of my head. I'm going to attach pictures. They overcharge and no one has enough experience or takes the time to do your hair in quality way. All they care about is getting you in and out and getting as much customers in there in one day as possible. Clearly, the manager does not care because I haven't been able to speak to the manager directly or even get any compensation for what's happened. Long story short if you were blonde, I highly suggest you do not go to the salon and definitely do not get extensions by Sarah.

I'll go into detail, but succinctly put, Nick worked a miracle on my hair. He gave me the best…read morehaircut I've ever had, and I didn't even really give him much to work with, both in terms of literal hair and my ideas for a cut. My new go-to stylist. Some backstory: I have naturally curly/wavy hair that I have been highlighting since I was 14. Although we all know the damage highlights can cause (especially with thin hair), I never had any major issues with damage, and I suspect this was because I almost always allowed my hair to air-dry and left it natural. Around December 2017/January 2018, I tried experimenting with my hair, and realized if I used a round brush and a hairdryer I could blow my hair out straight, and blowing it out gave it volume. I went with this method of styling my hair for about 4-5 months until I realized that I was losing MASSIVE amounts of hair. It was very, very bad: I was developing bald spots and my hair was literally breaking off. It was so thin I was only confident when I wore it pinned up, and even pinning it up only required 3 bobby pins. I realized how bad my hair was, and was looking for a miracle worker to try and somehow salvage what was some seriously damaged hair. Enter Nick at Nola's. I went in to Nola's and scheduled a same-day appointment at 9:45 pm (which sounds late, but those hours are actually fantastic for a busy college student within walking distance of the salon). I didn't even really know what I wanted myself, so I told Nick to just cut the damage out. I was prepared to go short, so I basically told him to do whatever he thought was best for my hair. I couldn't be happier with the result. My hair has never been this short, but I love it. I have received many compliments and always recommend Nick when I do. Nick is going to be my new go-to stylist: he made great conversation with me, did a wonderful job on my hair, and even ran through a few suggestions with me for the future for ways he could lighten my hair without bleaching it (I had told him I was nervous about continuing to highlight my hair after my recent damage disaster, but he assured me there are ways to lighten without bleach). I will 100% be returning. Thank you, Nick, for a great experience!

So stop panicking, you have found the right salon…read more Seriously, this place is the best. My friend and I booked Dani for our pixie cut transformation and we couldn't have gone to a better place. It's tucked away under sushi.com, with a mural-painted staircase to lead you down. The place is small, and very stylish, in that funky way only an underground salon should be. Dani was very friendly, super awesome, and very talented with her fingers! She took our photos and gave us exactly what we wanted. She gave us really cool styling tips that I had never heard of before, but perfect for what we wanted. She also gave me ideas on what to do coloring wise for my hair. Normally it would have been $25 (still cheap!) but we are students so she gave us a student discount, only $20! Also you can go in for free bang and neck trims as needed. afterward. She takes appointments, she takes walk-ins, credit cards, cash, it's all magic. I'm not going anywhere else while I live in Ann Arbor
