I wanted a smokey ash blonde balayage , and I wanted it pretty light. However, I was realistic, my hair started off naturally really dark and to top it off, I had dyed it red. I knew there was work to put in before getting what I wanted. Holly helped me understand what colors my hair needed to go through before achieving the look I wanted. I was sitting at Level 2 and what I wanted was a Level 10. Obviously, this was a more than one session type of thing. We had to work to remove the red. Holly was amazing, me and her have the same interests in shows and so we clicked pretty well. She suggested a more realistic hair color we could get to, that we could sit at before getting to my goal. She even suggested a hair cut that would suit me, which I love. 10/10 wanna stick with Holly, she gets me! Eli went above and beyond with my hair. I've had bad salon experiences in the past and was often told what I wanted wasn't realistic. I explained my vision and Eli didn't hesitate. Even with my previously dyed hair, he gave me the ombré bleach with pink and purple I wanted. I went to Salon Mi on a Friday afternoon. I had an appointment that I made the previous day with Kaitlyn. I arrived 5 minutes early and she took me right away. I had long curly hair that I straighten and I wasn't sure what I wanted. I showed her some pictures and she understood what I was going for and made some suggestions. she ended up cutting 5 inches from the length. From there she did low layers and curtain bangs. The results were perfect. Def recommend. Also I get confused when the price is a range for haircuts. It sounds like if you have long hair at the end of the cut it's more expensive because it takes longer to dry and style. read more

First time was nice. This time is not. Asked for a bang cut. Sprayed my whole hair wet, cut pretty short even tho I told her to keep the length. I didnt really want my whole hair trimmed. She did it anyway. She didnt even blow dry it at the end. I had to ask her to blow dry my bang so it didnt look funny. She made it worst. I had to kinda do it myself. And when she tried to fix it, she burnt my forehead with hairdryer; too hot. And she stabbed my face with the scissor accidentally during the cut. I left with wet hair. Incredible work from Mi and Holly! my last hair stylist had cut my hair for over a decade, until she retired, and i was devastated. she had been cutting my hair since i was a child and i was terrified to trust anyone else with my hair. i ended up going to a salon in LA, where i was left crying in the seat miserable that they didn't do what i wanted and it felt like they ruined my hair. i was traumatized and hadn't found the courage to cut my hair for another two years. but it was getting incredibly long, and i had to bite the bullet, so i did a lot of research before i ended up coming to Salon MI. Firstly, i was incredibly lucky and got a same day appointment, they accommodated me by working with my schedule although it was last minute. When i went it, everything was nice and clean, they had snacks and a mini fridge for you while you wait. I brought my boyfriend and he was able to take a seat somewhere while i sat down. Mi is extremely kind and professional, she helps guide you to the best result for you and your hair health, and got started quickly after i showed her some photos and gave her my ideas. i have non virgin asian hair, old grown out highlights, and extremely long length. Mi took a photo of the back of my head and i was horrified how oblivious i had been to it for the past two years, frankly i had zero clue how she was gonna fix it. after everything was said and done, holly gave me a blowout and styled my hair after asking my preference. i was absolutely blown away at the result. my hair felt amazing, and so much healthier than it's been in years (obviously lol), but after my last experience, i was relieved and eternally grateful that i had a good one here. i was so so so happy afterwards, my boyfriend could tell i was glowing, and i felt beautiful. The ladies did an amazing job, and all those feelings are what you want after heading out! My hair color was 2/3 dark brown and 1/3 yellow blonde at the bottom. Of course, I needed color correction, and wanted to do babylights as a whole. I searched for a model picture on Google and showed it to her. Before starting, she explained in detail the actual products description and process. For 6 hours, she focused only on my hair, and finally made babylights almost the same as the model photo I showed.
