In my car, right after being told I looked like a moviestar after Lucy's haircut.
Courtney B.

A good haircut makes one feel like a million bucks. A good FAST haircut, when you are in a pinch with an important last-minute meeting imminent... and a salon that is open late-- until 8PM-- forgetaboutit... there's not a lot of options out there! I called Estilo 5 because, honestly, they were the only salon open late that was nearby... (well, actually: I was placed on hold with another, but the hold was too long-- this was a dire situation, I needed an appointment pronto!) The voice on the line was receptive and friendly, and she booked me with Lucy the next morning for a haircut (I couldn't get in that night after all). I've always thought that businesses should mention if they are NOT handicap accessible or on the 2nd Fl of a complex (that's the occupational therapist in me)... now, I'm not sure if there was an elevator, but I didn't see one... so, be prepared, this salon is on the second floor... ... of a commercial complex that... leaves a bit to be desired. Um... a LOT to be desired. It's kinda low-rent. The salon's exterior and interior are too. But seriously, I was in a pinch... and listen, I came from NYC where the BEST and most affordable haircut I knew was in Chinatown for $14 !! (See my Yelp review for NYC's The Beautiful Hair Salon). So I'm used to putting up with a little grit in order to get affordable glamour! Lucy is friendly, FAST, and capable... and she's clearly adored by her regulars (I was sandwiched between two gentleman who raved about her!). I've modeled for hair shows and my hair has been just about every length and color there is, so I'm not super picky, though I have a general "style" I've aimed for since reaching middle age. I showed Lucy a couple photos, we discussed, she gave me options, I ultimately told her to cut how she feels would be best (I find that is often a good strategy). She did great. Her next customer told me I looked like a movie star... which was... exactly the effect I was going for, haha! Lucy charged me $50... which of course, in the realm of women's haircuts is comparable (I don't do color, and aside from having a head of hair, I'm a rather easy cut). She is definitely WORTH a $50 haircut, but the salon environment itself is not... my old Chinatown salon is far nicer (and far cheaper), so... I've been spoiled. I am definitely going to keep Lucy in mind, however. And her Esthetician has a sale going on for $65 facials-- which is also reasonable... but of course... same salon environment. That being said, they are Covid-responsible, mask policy was being implemented. So... gritty but glamorous is the name of the game here.

First time in 3 years!!!!! No tears during a hair cut. She is super fast and know what she is doing. My son feels very comfortable and happy during the cut.

$5.00 (2 trimmer blade) haircut; great value and great cuts! I only ever see Jeannie, and she gets it right every time. The actual address is 5485 W Flamingo Rd. Ste. B, Las Vegas, NV 89103. There's an address error in maps.

Went to take my son for a haircut and ended up get mine cut also. 20 stars

The front lobby is a "no-frills" Asian spa (Chinese-operated, not Korean), but don't let the modest exterior fool you--it is surprisingly huge inside and can accommodate up to 20 people at once. I walked in without an appointment and they were able to take me immediately. Here are a few tips for your visit: The Setup: The rooms are separated by doors for privacy, but the individual sections are divided by curtains, so you can sometimes hear neighbors talking. The Pressure: This is the place for people who actually want a hard massage. Even their "regular" pressure is much firmer than a "deep tissue" at a place like Burke Williams. I especially loved the technique where they step on your back--it's incredibly effective! Just make sure to be vocal about your preferences if you want them to adjust. Pricing & Upselling: They are very clear and upfront with their signs, but like any spa, they may offer add-ons. Just ask if something is included or an extra charge; they aren't trying to scam you, they're just running a business. Location: It's in a perfect spot right next to all the amazing restaurants off Spring Mountain, making it a great stop before or after dinner. If you don't need a giant hot tub or a steam room and just want a focused, high-quality massage that actually works out the knots, this is the spot. I left feeling super relaxed!

I I was a little worried because most of the reviews kept talking about up selling which most people is pretty annoying. When you're trying to enjoy a massage, but I didn't have that problem. I would definitely return here again The reason why I gave it four stars because it was hot in there to me like I was sweating while getting my massage so I didn't like that at all

If you are looking for a luxurious, quality, and the most amazing massage without the Las Vegas…read moreResort hotel price tag, this is the place to go! I was going on vacation to celebrate my wedding anniversary with my husband who has never had a massage in his life. It was very important I found a place that would fit all our needs to ensure he would have a pleasant experience. And Massage 1 spa ( on dean martin) did all that and more! Booking was very easy. You can choose to do it through their website or call. I called and booked a couple massage: one deep tissue and one swedish thai massage combo both including hot stones and the private suite (which included a dry red light and wet sauna with a jacuzzi tub and lounge area with a shower). The facility is very clean, peaceful and has a very relaxing atmosphere. Our massages were amazing! My husband and I both work out and lift heavy weight so we really wanted them to work on our muscles. They exceeded our expectations, listened to our wants and massaged all of our problem areas away. When our massages were finished, the private suite was the cherry on top. With our muscles relaxed we were able to continue that relaxtion with the saunas and hot tub. We left feeling refreshed, renewed and so relaxed (which I clearly cannot emphasize enough)! I look forward to coming back here the next time I am in Vegas. If Massage 1 was one of your options on your spa list, I HIGHLY suggest you go here. You won't regret it and you will definitely want to come back too.

Needed a place in Hawaii that could do a Brazilian sugar last minute. I just flew in from…read moreCalifornia I knew that I would be hitting the beach is quite often but also knew that I had to get beach ready. There are very little options of sugar services here in Hawaii. What I like about sugaring is that my it leaves my skin smooth and my skin does not react like it would with wax. I love that sugaring is made of natural products too. I reached out to Nes to see if she had an open appointment and thankfully she did. What I liked about my first interactions with her was that she had really good communication, let me know what the Covid protocols were, and also had options of contactless payment. This was my first time getting sugared here and I definitely will come again.

Nisa is so awesome! I used to go to another sugar waxing specialist pre-COVID, but because of all…read morethe closures and re-opening uncertainty, my original specialist is not working at this time. I was kind of desperate because I wanted to maintain my Brazilian, so I decided to search up other good rating and affordable sugaring specialists. Nisa's business popped up as one of my top 3 places, and when I inquired with her, I was able to book an appointment right away :D the price was almost as good as the original place I'd go to. I believe Nisa has her own website that will show how much she quotes on her services, but you can always text/call her to ask as she's super approachable and friendly. I specifically came to her for Brazilian sugar waxing only, although she is more well known for lash extensions. In order to book an appointment with Nisa, you'll have to put a down payment of $50 + tax first. Only contactless payment because of COVID, so she'll take Apple Pay, Venmo, or Cash App. The $50 booking fee is non-refundable but it can be used towards either the service or you can leave it there and use it towards booking your future appointments. (For example, I Venmo her $50 for booking fee, once I meet her to do my $70 Brazilian sugar waxing, I only have to Venmo her $20 after our session is done.) It is cheaper when you are doing maintenance on your Brazilian sugar waxing (coming in every 4 weeks), and it does grow back very slowly! Nisa is super flexible with scheduling appointments, and she'll always text you a reminder when your appointment date is near! I love her sense of humor, she's like a cool mom hahaha. Upon arriving for every session she will check your temperature and have you fill out a COVID checklist form. Make sure you don't book an appointment with her if you had travelled or was exposed to COVID in the last 30 days or so, it doesn't hurt to ask first about it. Wearing your mask is required throughout your session and she sanitizes every single thing, just incase you're wondering how her business is operating during COVID! Currently (from my knowledge) she is only operating her studio at one location, on Dillingham Blvd and another location in Ewa Beach. I'll continue to visit her for as long as I can since I'm always satisfied with her work :)

This was, without exaggeration, the worst nail salon experience of my life…read more I booked an appointment through their system, yet upon arrival nobody even bothered to check my reservation or ask for my name. Instead, they immediately tried to upsell me on extremely expensive services. The most shocking part is that these prices are being charged by people who seem to lack even basic knowledge and skills in their profession. First of all, hygiene standards were practically nonexistent. The older woman who worked on my nails wore no gloves, used a UV lamp as a hand rest, and there was no dust extraction system running, meaning I spent the entire appointment breathing nail dust. Even worse, the tools used on me were simply wiped off and put back without any visible disinfection. Completely unacceptable. The woman removed my previous set so aggressively that she removed skin along with the product. Instead of properly preparing my cuticles, she used an e-file in such a careless manner that she cut almost every single finger, leaving me with multiple open wounds. I requested square nails, yet every nail ended up crooked and uneven. When I asked for a correction, I was told it was "too late." Too late for what exactly remains a mystery. Then came the most painful part. She applied some product from an unlabeled bottle, calling it a "base," and spread it directly onto the open cuts she had just created. The burning sensation was unbearable. After that, she proceeded to pour gel over both my nails and the wounds. Throughout the entire appointment, instead of acknowledging her mistakes, she repeatedly insisted that I was "allergic" in an apparent attempt to excuse the pain and burning she had caused. I am not allergic--this has been medically confirmed, and I have been getting my nails done regularly for over 10 years without ever experiencing anything remotely similar. Open wounds covered with chemicals are not an allergic reaction; they are the result of poor technique and negligence. I was in so much pain that I asked her to remove everything immediately because I simply wanted to leave. I walked out with bleeding fingers, damaged nails, and paid $25 for this experience. Had I not been desperate to leave because of the pain, I would not have paid even $1. The final appearance of my nails was honestly heartbreaking. I would never allow a client to leave in such a condition. Absolutely unacceptable service, terrible hygiene standards, lack of professionalism, and complete disregard for client safety. Looking at my fingers now, I finally understand why so many people avoid this part of town. I would strongly advise anyone to stay away from this salon. I am attaching photos from the apocalypse I experienced. Rest assured that this will be published everywhere.
