Cary's been cutting my hair for a little over a year. Does a good job personable lady. Jackie used to be my go to. She retired and Cary took over her clients. I go by appointments every month and she's ready and waiting for me when I arrive. I think she's more into women's hair than men's but she does a good job for me. Both stylists named Jackie gave me mediocre haircuts. Jackie 1 is a decent stylist but is rude with an attitude. She sent me to Jackie 2 who totally messed up my haircut. I've got fine wavy hair, I asked her not to texturize it or use thinning shears. She did both. It grew out a wreck. I went back to the salon and they refused to correct a $25 dollar haircut and Jackie said she "doesn't care" if I leave a bad review. So, here it is: Neither stylist named Jackie is very good. The older Jackie is rude. The younger Jackie is obviously a beginner and gave me a frizzy, choppy, incorrect layer cut that was really uneven. Apparently, this salon really DOESN'T care about their reviews or customer service because they've got several other bad reviews here with similar complaints to mine and no replies from the company. It's too bad that a few bad stylists have given them a not-so-good reputation. I wish I'd read these reviews first. I would have gone somewhere else and not bothered to ask them to fix their botched work. The good news is, I found another salon to fix Sandy's Oasis Salon's bad work. There is a much better salon in the same shopping center that did a much better job. If you're in the Vegas area, skip Sandy's and try Perfect Look instead. They have nicer people, more talented stylists, better lighting and better air conditioning. Even IF Sandy's had better stylists, I wouldn't go back because the place is dimly lit, the air is stuffy with poor A/C and though it's a pretty salon, it doesn't seem very clean. There is also a distinct vibe like the employees don't like one another. None of them talk or smile at one another. They all ignore one another's clients and don't seem to get along or work as a team. There is no "I" in "Team" and it's obvious this company doesn't make an effort as a TEAM to give customers a good experience. They need to hire some better people based on these reviews! read more

Came in hoping I could do a walk in ( their sign says "walk ins welcome") There were salon workers ( cannot make myself to call them ladies) with customers but they all just glanced my way and continued to work on their customers. I sat down waiting for someone to acknowledge my presence but was totally ignored. RUDE!!!! I left . Never coming back... read more

You Get What You Pay For! Yes, it's cheap but again, you get what you pay for! I used to see hairdresser Jackie, & for about over a year. For whatever reason these last few months were horrible. Not only did she refuse to fix my damaged hair that she did over 3 times...this woman invited herself on a Western Caribbean cruise with me & then backs out a month before with no warning after everything had already been booked on her credit card! Despite the cruise, bc I'm still going, I had made a final Appt with her on the day I leave. I recently asked her to please fix my roots & hair color that had changed from blonde to a faded brown before I leave & she refused. Sending me a very rude text telling me she will no longer do my hair, & to go pay higher prices someplace else. Is this professional customer service? I will gladly pay higher prices someplace else & give another the business they deserve. As I said in the beginning, ",You Get What You Pay For With Jackie Gubler"! Cheap is Cheap. I have been coming here for YEARS and mainly for one reason. Her name is Heather and she paints my hair. I've gotten my share of other things done as well, waxing, nails, etc. Personally for the east side, their other services are way over priced. Now don't get me wrong you DO get what you pay for. This is the only place I have had put hot stones between my toes, or give me a paraffin hand wax for free since I am always there. Over the years I've seen many come and go which is normal in salons. But there's a few solid people that know what they're doing and are great at it. I know I said the prices are steep, but as for Heather, she blows the competition out of the water on prices and service. Not sure if they still offer massage but they did at one point. Facials are also an option. Worth the stop if you're in the area. read more

Thanksgiving was done and my roots were screaming at me... help me.. help me.. Sandy got me in, did her job and again a happy and loyal customer. What can I say after 4 years. I need my eyes brows done and had been to a expense ritzy place (did know what I was thinking) but they took be right after my hair and the brows were perfect. No pain and little blood marks from pulling the skin. Can't remember her name (sorry sandy I'm sure you know who it is) and now she has a happy and loyal customer. Next step is to see what she has for pedicure. I'm sure I won't be disappointed. Imagine that, hair, brows and toes all in the same shop what a concept looks like I will be a happy and loyal customer. Very profession people, good service that doesn't break the bank. Rude customer service!! Came in to check it out and sew if I can make an appointment but before I could set foot in the door I heard someone ask "do you have an appointment?" I said "no but..." Before I could finish saying that I was interested in making one she said "call before you come in and make an appointment". My thought was wow now I don't think I would be doing that now. Called ahead to see if I could get a wash and a blow out. The lady said I could come in immediately so I did. After washing my hair she said she didn't really use round brushes and asked if she could blow dry and flat iron my hair I said ok thinking it would look similar however it didn't. Since I had just called I would've thought they would've given me someone who could've done a simple blow out the correct way. Kind of a waste of time and money. I only gave it two stars because the lady was very sweet however that doesn't make up for poor quality service. Sandy does it all! Not only did she come in at 5:30 A.M. So that I could get my service before work, but she cut and colored my hair, waxed my eyebrows, did my nails and provided my great insight into what my hair needs are! Had a great first time experience today with Sandy! Made an appointment to get my hair dreams extensions removed and it was the best decision ever! After calling two other salons in town, I chose to drive across town to Sandy's oasis just because she has the most REASONABLE price for the service and I got more than what I bargained for. She was so friendly, kind, and efficient. I was late to my appointment also and she was very flexible and understanding. It didn't take more than an hour to remove my extensions and she was very attentive. If you have hairdreams or are interested in hairdreams and want the best, Sandy is well worth the drive, time, and money!!! Come here for Heather. She is the only person who's cut my hair with out any problems, she always does exactly what I want never an inch more or less. Fairly priced but the only thing is that there is always a wait time, she always has someone in the chair and sometimes even multitasking in between customers. These strangers actually stop me wherever I am and tell me how they love my haircut and how it looks perfect on me. I set up an appointment the day before with Heather for my wife. We arrived right on time- just as Heather is walking out the door. What does she say to my wife? "Oh I didn't think you were coming" We weren't 10 or even 5 minutes late, we were there on the dot! So did my wife get her appt? No. What sense would that make?! Instead this Heather character said "well I didn't have a number to call you" (because no one asked for my # when I set the appt) "can we just re-shedule another time?" Again, we showed up ON THE DOT for our appointment! And just in case you think this was a fluke, this was my wife's second time with this lady. The first time she was late and had them waiting too. Worst customer service experience ever. I had an 11 am appt that I showed up to ten minutes early. Three employees saw me walk in- not one of them spoke to me, much less greeted me or asked for my name and appt info. After 20 minutes of waiting (still, without being addressed) a hair dresser who I presumed to be mine, walked in and glared at me before walking to the back not to be seen for another 5 minutes before she came back and started talking to one of the other employees.
