I would post a picture of the damage but unsurprisingly they've disabled that option for reviews. I recently came in and had a hairstylist "forget" to put barrier cream on my skin before applying permanent black dye to my hair. Not sure how that happens as it is such a basic yet important step. Well she ended up getting a crazy amount of dye all over my forehead. I asked her to please wipe it off because I don't wear foundation and can't just cover it up. Throughout the appointment she is wiping and wiping and irritating my skin & it was just not coming off. I was being a really good sport about it but inside I was getting really stressed out. Come time to pay, i wanted to ask to "talk to the manager" but i honestly just didn't want to be "that person" when I ABSOLUTELY should've made a fuss. The manager, Bre, could see the problem but obviously wasn't going to address it so I asked her hey umm, how long is this going to stay stained like this? She said it would be gone in the morning and starts giving me little "tips and tricks" to make it go away instead of apologizing and acknowledging that it should've never happened in the first place. I definitely should've received a discount or something, or AT LEAST an apology. Instead I paid full price, left a generous tip, and left feeling gaslit. As soon as I got home and looked in the mirror I could see the extent of the damage - that lady obviously knew she lying to my face when she said it'd gone by the morning. I called back frustrated the next day during the afternoon stating that it hasn't faded at all and that I have to go into work like this. I asked for a refund even if just a partial because this is unacceptable. Bre then doubles down giving me ideas on how to remove this and I said I shouldn't have to be dealing with this in the first place. She explains that she did have a talk with the stylist after I left about remembering to use barrier cream - meaning, SHE DID SEE THAT THERE WAS AN ISSUE, SHE JUST CHOSE TO NOT TO ADDRESS IT OR MAKE IT RIGHT WITH ME. She had the chance to make it right and she chose not to. She told me that next time I come in they'll remember to use barrier cream.. as if I would ever trust this place to do my hair this place again. It is now 3 days later and I still have traces of dye on my forehead. I know they're going to reply mentioning that they a $25 coupon towards next or (many hours after our phone call) to have me come in so they can try to wipe it some more but I'm not spending any more my time or money here.

I was a little…read moreconfused though because when I was there the first time, I booked for my next appointment- it was May 30ish and I booked for like August 8th... well I called THAT DAY to verify because I hadn't received any reminder text and I didn't have anything in my account portal showing that my appointment even existed. Sure enough- my stylist was out of town and my appointment did need to be rescheduled. Luckily I have the flexibility right now, otherwise I would have been pretty irritated. Ok, so now, fast forward to my 2nd appointment- and I had asked for "my roots done" and "a trim" so I'm thinking about 2 hours. It took 3. Nobody's fault - but when a salon is charging at an hourly rate- it feels awkward if your hair takes longer to process than other clients hair am I being charged to sit in this chair because my hair sucks ?! And then- I guess there is no option for booking "A TRIM" so that DOES SUCK. IMO there are two things; a hair cut- takes longer, it's a potential transformation, much more thought goes into it (hopefully) and a TRIM is TRIMMING whatever current haircut exists at that moment. No new layers- no new bangs, very brief- just the tips- snip snip snip!! Voila! Someone tell me you know what I'm talking about!?!? My biggest concern though, was this; when i went home... I'm kind of playing around with my hair... really looking to see how it looks. "Investigating" if you will, to see if my $270 ($320 with tip) was justified- because it better be mother forking perfect. Well it wasn't. I felt terrible. Because I left the salon feeling SO HAPPY!! but either way I felt terrible because it's just so uncomfortable to tell someone you were not happy with what they did for you specifically. I finally called and asked some questions about the pricing- the receptionist handled my situation perfectly- and told me that the manager would be reviewing the situation and would call me. A couple days passed and that hadn't happened... so I called again, and sent an email. THAT is when she responded stating why she never called back and it kind of felt like she was accusing me of being crazy or 'all over the place' and wrote something like we do not tolerate rude behavior and due to the unforeseen nature of your calls or something very off-putting (for not even speaking to me yet) . But finally in the end- she offered me three options. I chose the "Correction option" She then essentially replied "Great - I will do my best to accommodate as quickly as possible. Are you comfortable with the same stylist...?" I wrote - yes! absolutely- I adore her! Are you open to a phone conversation, because I feel very misunderstood. I wanted to explain (or defend) myself!!! I really felt like the situation was a BIG misunderstanding. TOO many people were in the middle of it. Anyways, I NEVER heard back after that. I followed up several times. i'm pretty sure she blocked my email!!?? I really just was hoping for my hair to be fixed ‍ I still love my stylist. She is awesome. Good person and great stylist. Sometimes stuff isn't perfect. I don't know why- But I bet- SHE would have been more than willing to have a conversation with me about it. I never got a chance to communicate with her because now, come to find out, this owner also decided to disable me from booking future appointments in their website!!!!! like REALLY???? So confused ‍ I do not know what I did. I really want my hair fixed though. Are you going to have some integrity- and be good for your word? You literally offered me a correction and then GHOSTED me. WHY? WHO does that? ‍

My stylist was very nice and we had great conversation. Unfortunately, however, she didn't do anything close to what I asked for. I wear glasses, so i couldn't really see in the mirror and I was turned away from the mirror so I couldn't even see it when I left. She didn't even bother to show me the back. It wasn't until I got home that I saw that not only was it so so so much shorter than I'd asked for, but it's just an all around bad haircut. She was very heavy handed with the razor so the few places I do have a little length, it's thin and frizzy. Full disclosure: I had cut my own hair (I'm a former stylist) and made a mistake on one side. I was very clear on what I wanted. I said I wanted to keep as much as I could as I'm trying to grow it out, and I just needed the other side evened up with the side I went too short on. I even included that I didn't want it "spikey"! I provided 3 pictures, all pretty similar, and my hair was plenty long enough for all of them. When I went in, my hair was just over 6 inches all around. Now, it's less than 2, uneven, tapered to about 1 inch above my ear, then 2 inches right below it creating weird bumps in the over all style. She kept my bangs (thankfully) but directly behind, it's so short it's spikey, exactly what I said I didn't want. It's not just that it's just too short, it's a terrible haircut, and there's nothing I can do to make it better until it grows out. My goal isn't to bad mouth the salon or the stylist, she was great working with me to get me in and really seemed to listen to me, but this truly is the worst haircut I've ever had. It will take several months before I can even fix it. Even though it's incredibly embarrassing, I've actually decided to add the pictures because I think it's necessary to see how bad it really is. Sadly it's been almost 2 weeks and not a single person from the salon reached out to offer to try to even it out or make it better in any way. No accountability for mistakes. Feel free to remember that before choosing this salon.
