I've been coming to Christi with Salon Moxie since before there was a Salon Moxie! I do massage, facial and waxing services and keep coming back for more. Christi is skilled in each of these services and takes the time to ensure she is providing skin care appropriate to your skin type. I tend to have sensitive skin and have never reacted badly to any of the products she uses. I've tried waxing at other salons and have regretted it. With the aftercare at Salon Moxie, I've never suffered a breakout after waxing. I unhesitatingly recommend scheduling with Christi at Salon Moxie! You won't regret it! I have been getting my hair colored by Brock Mattila for a few years at Salon Moxie. My hair is naturally dark, and it was my desire to be a bright cool blond. Brock is a color specializes using professional products. She's a blond herself and understands what it takes to lift dark hair and keeping it in good health. I LOVE my hair! After a stressful couple of weeks I decided I deserved a good massage. That's when I called up Cristi and said 'please please pleeeeease get me in!' Which of course she did. The quickest way to make myself feel better is to give her a call and schedule a massage. It is an hour of pure bliss. And some great in and out napping. She's good at what she does, professional without being distant or cold, and you can tell she really loves her profession. My best friend treated me to a visit to Salon Moxie for a facial over the weekend. What a wonderful treat! Cristi was amazing! I am the type of person who cannot relax until I am comfortable with someone. This meant that I chatted through my facial. Cristi completely accommodated this by engaging with me on various topics. I had a great time and at the end of my facial and upper body massage, my face felt so smooth and I was so relaxed. When my friend went in, she didn't chat much, which Cristi completely respected. During the facial my friend actually fell asleep! Two totally different, yet enjoyable and relaxing experiences from one nice and professional stylist. I now feel comfortable with Cristi to become a repeat customer and will also be trying out the services of the hairstylists at Moxie. I highly recommend Jacquie for cut & color!! I live in Seattle and was in town for the weekend visiting my in laws. I've had the same stylist in Seattle whom I love, BUT I was very much overdue and unfortunately was not going to be back in Seattle for some time. After reading the reviews on Yelp, I decided to make an appointment and Jacquie was available the following day. I love my hair! Not only did she take the time to understand exactly what I was looking for, but we had a good laugh over the outdated hair style books in the process. I just went to see Cristi with my Groupon deal for a Derm Renewal Peel. I've had many facials done over the years, and I have to say that this facial was one of the absolutely best -- as was Cristi. She made me feel incredibly comfortable and relaxed, and I felt completely pampered by the entire process, which included a neck/shoulder/arm/foot massage! We discussed skin care, but I never felt any pressure to purchase any products. My face feels so smooth and soft, and I can't wait to go back and have it done again. Oh my goodness. Brock. GO SEE Brock!! I just went to her for the first time and usually the first visit with a new hairstylist isn't PERFECT because they are unfamiliar with your hair and it usually takes a couple cuts to really give you that perfect look you're going for. But not Brock. She did amazing, gave me exactly the color I wanted and I LOVE the cut. Can't believe she nailed it the first visit and I HIGHLY recommend anyone to go see her. She massaged my neck, hands & feet while the mask was setting & I feel asleep only to wake up to a VERY refreshed face! It's been two days after the peel & my face still looks & feels great! I had a facial and massage from Christi, and it was great. I have sensitive skin and often feel itchy and uncomfortable from the products and processes involved with a facial. Christi used products that not only didn't cause my sensitive skin to react, they never felt greasy or heavy or itchy. I went on with my day and didn't think of my skin again. I have had many massages and several facials from Cristi Cooke. I love the product line she uses, (G.M. Collin) and while she gives a fabulous massage I have to say that her facials are amazing. Your skin will feel and look great, but she pampers you with a shoulder and neck massage that will leave you feeling like you've spent the whole day getting pampered, in just 90 minutes! I have used a lot of good skin products in my life but she will assess your needs a recommend what is best for you from the best line of products I have ever tried. G.M. Collin. I go to Salon Moxie regularly to get my hair cut by Brock. She's absolutely wonderful in that she listens to what I want and never cuts too much off. I'm very picky about my hair and have general anxiety around getting it cut. I have very curly hair and if cut wrong it can look like a mullet or a chia pet. It's hard finding someone who knows how to cut curly hair and Brock does a great job. Not to mention she's super cool and the salon is very cute. read more
