This is for Bridgeport location. One of owner (first name started with A) was person that provided service. Cost was $350 which I wouldn't have mind if she actually provided the service. Owner didn't listen or want to provide low lights which I asked. She stated next time. She started coloring then passed me to another person to finish service. What a cute salon! I saw Whitney Zeller for a partial foil and a root smudge and she did exactly what I wanted!! This was the only time I felt like the stylist actually listened to what I actually wanted and made my hair look very close to the picture I showed her. She was also very straightforward with what she could realistically do with my hair and how many sessions it would take to get it how I want it. I really appreciate when people are honest with me. Facials Waxing Brightening (glycolic, salicylic) peels Microdermabrasion Microcurrent facial Brow tints etc etc With other technitions I regularly had skin peeled off w/the wax, ingrown hairs, long lasting redness. Karen is so very detailed, takes copious notes and works with me regarding my treatment. Ive never had the above listed issues with her. Most of the reviews here are for facials but I went in for a mani and pedi with Shannon K. Shannon had just gotten back from a trip & just recently became a nail tech so she seemed a little jet-lagged & not as detailed as I would have liked but she was still a good listener. I didn't get my arms massaged just my hands put in a warm glove then the remaining lotion rubbed in. I decided not to go w/Shallac nails b/c of the damage it's caused to my enamel during the removal process (when it was time to re-do). So just had her pushed back cuticles, nail filing & clear coat. I also did a pedi, again didn't receive the massage on my legs just my feet for about 5 mins total. I read the website description of a mani/pedi service and it states "hand & arm massage and extensive foot massage". I don't feel like I got that. Also their listed prices seem high compared to other salons. So for not receiving an adequate massage during my mani/pedi I took a star off and for high prices I took another star off. Service was ok but nothing special. Inside the salon was nice. Area seemed very clean not cluttered. read more

I did a Sharing Spree certificate for a Shellac mani and a spa pedicure with Shannon. I still feel like I paid too much. The spa was very cute. My pedicure was first. No big massage chairs. Fine. She didn't speak to me for almost the whole pedicure. The other nail tech was bubbly and chatting away. I got maybe a one minute massage on my feet total. Kind of reminded me of when I put lotion on my own legs and feet. She did a good job with the painting though. On to the shellac. This was the second time I have had it done (once at another spa). She didn't soak my hands, no lotion, no cuticle treatment or clipping. She filed and buffed my nails and added the shellac which started to peel in 5 days. I was baffled. Maybe the whole rush job was because it was a Sharing Spree. For these prices, go to Coldwater Creek Spa or somewhere else. read more

Melanie is just the best! Not only does she provide a wonderful facial (depending on your skin type), but she provides all the small touches (hot stone massage, hand and arm massage, warm slippers for you feet, head and neck massage) that make you want to go back again and again. In addition, Melanie really cares and is just wonderful...skip the therapist, treat yourself to one of Melanie's facials instead.
