My overall experience at Salon Mulan was exceptional. The minute I walked in the door everyone was warm and welcoming. The entire staff was extremely friendly and made me feel like I was coming to the salon for years. Jessica took the time to listen to me explain what I was hoping to achieve with my new hairstyle. She explained everything that she was doing during the haircut and why. In the end I got an amazing haircut and had some great conversation. The salon is immaculate and very aesthetically pleasing. I walked into Salon Mulan with inquiries regarding hair botox. I was greeting with smiles, despite not having an appointment. After a very brief wait, I met with Mary who thoroughly explained the process while giving me realistic expectations. Twenty four hours later, I returned for my appointment. I was pleasantly surprised with the results. My visibly thin hair not only appeared thicker but was also extremely lustrous, sleek and soft. I went to salon mulan for extensions. They were some new age extensions that were glued into your hair before this process my hair was dyed by them I got a serious chemical reaction that left me with third-degree burns all over my scalp. I showed them the photos of me with a chemical burn and they were floored. I try to handle the situation with Grace and tactfully. I called and explained that due to the chemical burn i obviously went through so much irritation on my scalp. All of my extensions fell out. I paid $1200 for the initial visit. When I went to make the appointment they were charging me zero dollars for the appt to put my hair back in. About three days before I was given a call and told it was going to be $80 to reinstall my hair then the day of the appointment they called 15 minutes before my actual appointment time and spiked the price to 375. i'm broke and on social security disability and I was blamed for this entire process that I paid $1200 for it plus an extra 375. I heard the woman speak to her associate and tell her that I was ripping my hair out. Apparently. I was degraded I was robbed i was embarrassed i was treated with the utmost disrespect, i was made out to be some mental case, they neglected to embrace the fact that THEIR dye gave me a horrible chemical reaction, almost as if acid was poured all over my head, and then told me that it was my fault that the extensions fell out. Of course I had to wash my hair more than usual due to the chemical reaction. I needed the dye out quickly i was suffering. i am actually afraid to even call them for advice or for any reason at all due to the fact that I spent $2000, and on my last visit, I was forced to sign a waiver that I would never come back. what a ill willed little shit box of a business. if you value your money, your time you are self worth, and your scalp, please do not go near this place your hair might fall out if you see it. and you will be around hardened thieves. i feel sick to my stomach when i think of this salon. please do not attend this terrifying hell hole. yours truly, lira. read more

I had my hair done by Dena let me start by saying she is amazing . Her customer Service is excellent, and Her skill is amazing . I had told her I wanted Brown with Carmel Highlights and that's what she did. Her shampoo was amazing she gives you a fabulous massage .... My daughter and I changed to Salon Mulan about a year ago. We both love our hair stylists. Kaitlyn goes to Mary and Nikki does my hair. They are both friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Mary did an amazing job with Kaitlyn's up-do for her Senior Prom and Nikki did her makeup. She looked amazing! The owner is kind and is service oriented. The front desk staff is wonderful too. Today was my first visit to Salon Mulan and it sure won't be my last. I think I finally found a salon where the stylist (Nikki) listened to exactly what I wanted. Okay so I went into Salon Mulan today on 12/26 hoping for a good experience and it turned out not so good after all. To tell you the truth, I went into the salon with dirty blonde hair, a little golden, and I wanted it to be a little blonder and my roots to be touched up. So, first off, it took 3 hours without a trim or blow out, and my hair is medium length. So the hair colorist, Mary, washed out my hair and blew dry one piece of my hair since I did not have time for a blow out. Turns out, my roots are still dark brown and the blonde I asked for turned out to be white when I even picked out a warm blonde color on display. As I began telling her this is not what I wanted, she began insulting my old hair color calling it "orange" and "at least its an upgrade from before." As a first time client, I would say she did not just ruin my experience, but insulted my hair and was not listening to my concerns or addressing them. I am very upset and disappointed but hey!! at least I could pass for a 30 year old hipster grandmother now with this GREAT grey hair and non-manageable roots. LOL I do not suggest this place whatsoever, especially since she could not manage to complete a simple task or admit her mistakes. read more

Blockhead... The other day I asked for a new hairdo, but instead I got a hairdon't. Choppy, sophisticated, edgy, these were the words I told my so called stylist. She told me to relax, and that I was in good hands. I felt safe... I let my guard down. She grabbed her tools from her bag, and to my surprise she pulled out a protractor. I didn't want to question her methods so I stayed silent. With the accuracy of a surgeon she cut my hair straight across with the guiding hand of her trusted protractor. I told her to stop as tears streamed down my face. The other stylist held me down as my hair was systematically cut pin straight. No chop, no sophistication, no edge. After being suckered into tipping my stylist, I thought the ordeal was over. Alas upon my return to work I was subjected to the ridicule of being called a blockhead by my coworkers. I thought the worst was over, but it has only just begun. read more

I went to the Salon yesterday for my second visit. This visit was as wonderful as the first. Sassy did my color and asked how I liked it the last time, which I love. I have never had a more natural looking color before going to this Salon. They are experts and very professional. The stylists/colorists are very client focused ( no cross talk between them or cell phone use) Before moving to this area I had my hair done on Madison Ave. Salon Mulan is equal to city quality and then some. Julie cut/styled my hair as the last time. She asked how I enjoyed the cut from last time...which I love. She also asked if I wanted to try anything new for future and presented some unique ideas. I Had scheduled MY APPOINTEMENT over a month in advance, The day before my ENGAGEMENT PARTY I took off of work to get A full set of Eyelashes I walk in for my appointment and they told me they had called me, left a message the day before CANCELLING my appointment!!!!
