Then nothing I requested - blow out and pin flower in hair -was acknowledged or addressed. I was not greeted upon arrival. Walked into middle of salon and had to find my way to the stytlist. The stylist had to get an owner to finish up b/c he didn't know how to pin a flower in above ear. (Not an up do). A smock was not put on me for shampoo so my clothes got wet. I was barraged with text and emails about "if I miss appointment." I will be charged and yet no information was given about how to find entrance. I looked for 15 minutes. Hidden at top of a hill. You have to know to drive up a steep hill to find it. Positive: Megan did a wonderful job pinning the fresh flower in. I love the feel of the space, a tree top oasis.

The staff was super friendly and they gave us unlimited raspberry iced tea to drink the whole time. They have a dog that ran around the store too. May not be your thing but I had a blast playing with Thurston while I waited for my wifey. The girl that did my wife's nails, Gabriella, was really cool too. Very personable and professional. She also did a good job on the nails (so says the wife). The staff also went out of their way to recommend a place nearby to eat, and when we found out we were running late for a show we were going to see, TEASE even let us eat our take out inside the salon. Doubt my wife will ever drive 2.5 hrs to get her nails done here again, but if we're in the area, it's the only place she'll go now.

My appointment was at 1:00, I showed her the picture of what I wanted and she seemed okay with it. I explained to her I wanted to keep my roots brown and lighten the rest and color it pink we agreed on the salmon pink color that was in the picture. she began lightening my hair with the bleach and then went to the shampoo bowl to wash it out. she then went to the back to mix up the " pink" dye and then she came back and applied it to my hair and then I sat under the dryer till the color was done processing. we went back and washed that out of my hair and then she conditioned then went back to the chair to finish up and blow dry. while I was sitting in the chair with wet hair I noticed the color on my hair was a blonde with a slightly pink hue. the pink hue completely went away when she blow dried my hair. and now I have a CLEAR STRAIGHT LINE between blonde and brown, the color was not blended in the hair at all! I then told her my hair looked nothing like the picture and she then said that what she did on my hair was what I asked for. 8 inches of brown hair and then a straight line to blonde hair was not at all what I asked for. according to her my hair was "pink" and we even asked the other hair stylist that was there what color my hair was, she also said it was" pink" as you can tell in the picture it's not pink at all. and I'm writing this review the same day as my appointment. Arlington hair studio is indeed cheap price wise but also cheap in quality. don't come here.

All the stylists are pleasant and friendly and prices are affordable. It's conveniently located across from the new mall/Trader Joe's. Sheila has styled my hair for over two years and has never disappointed. She is a skilled stylist and an experienced colorist. She really listens to me, makes good recommendations, and takes the time to figure out with me what I really want each time. When I think I want a change, I come prepared to talk it over with Sheila. She never minds the extra time and never rushes me, making sure we are on the same page before proceeding. She's always game to try something new, or go back to something I liked previously, too, never makes me feel bad for wanting to do that. If you are looking for someone to fix a really bad hair cut, please give Sheila a chance to help you. She straightened my hair out twice from awful cuts, where there was not a lot left to work with in both situations (the first time was when I met her, and then once was after I'd tried someone new because I didn't want to wait for her to return from leave... I can attest to the fact that she is creative with blending bad haircuts so they can grow out gracefully:) If you are looking for someone to collaborate with, who you can trust with your hair, I hope you give Sheila and Hair World a try.
