My mom was complaining the whole time that she was sick so Stephanie stepped up her pace. I felt like my mom was rushing her but she was very professional and sympathetic towards my mother. Didn't break her stride. Thank you Stephanie for being so caring and sweet. I also needed my eyebrows done and she did an AMAZING job. I don't want my hair to be over-styled. As a professional woman who travels quite a bit, I wanted an easy, healthy-looking style with a little volume to give this 50-year old face a little lift. I need to be able to sleep on a 12 hour flight, get up, brush my hair in an airplane bathroom and keep moving straight into a meeting. So many prior salon experiences left me with flat, overly-straight hair with no movement. I found this spot online and the reviews were good, so I booked an appt. My girlfriends all thought I was insane for trying any hair salon working dozens of personal recommendations. The booking process was simple and I quickly received a text confirmation of my appointment and a reminder. I loved that. I'm busy and a bit scattered - I NEED reminders. This was perfect. I arrived, was warmly greeted and was given a quick customer information sheet to complete - along with a price list (thank you!). I was then taken by Brittany to her chair to discuss my hair, my desires and my expectations. Brittany demonstrated professionalism while also being friendly and easy to connect with. My hair was shampooed by Kenneth, who gave me the best temple massage. I had to fight to keep from falling asleep in the shampoo chair. Good conversation. Ultra relaxing. Comfortable shampoo chairs and a foot stool so you can prop your feet up. The shampoo room is walled off from the rest of the salon, you're getting a very relaxing experience, but there is a glass door, so you can still see what's going on (unless your eyes are closed, as mine were). Having really listened to my desire to have a little lift and movement to my hair, Brittany had me sit under the cool dryer for just a few mins and then did the blow dry. But unlike other salons, she didn't snatch my hair bone-straight. She left it with some volume - then gave me a flat iron and trim. I was all much quicker than I'd expected and I was left with EXACTLY what I wanted. I was shocked - she "got" me. Had I brought in a magazine photo for a stylist to replicate, it would have been what I walked out with. The salon is comfortable, clean and a no-nonsense place - grown-woman style. They offered me a glass of wine - the music was nice - and the clientele was friendly and relaxed. I didn't wait at all, yet they did have plenty of customers. They kept us all moving. I left the salon and met my girlfriends for dinner. Everyone loved my hair. Definitely going back - have already booked my next appt!

I drove over an hour from Philly to come to their new salon and it was absolutely worth it. The new space is beautiful - clean, airy, and spacious. Cabrina and Daniella are extremely welcoming; it's almost like they're welcoming you into their home I had a little trouble with the lighting so my "after picture" doesn't do her work justice, but I'm thrilled with Cabrina's work again. I like to have very cool ashy blonde highlights with a deep root and lots of dimension. I'm also in the midst of growing out a lob (my natural texture is wavy). Cabrina did hand painted baby lights, a root smudge, and a toner. One of the things I appreciate most about the quality of their work is that it grows in so well and lasts... Cabrina did my hair about 6 months ago (you can see it in the "before" pic) and it still looked pretty good, even after so much time. I also appreciate that they're thoughtful with their products - everything is effective, but my hair is never damaged. High quality - and I'm always happy with the results.

Upon insisting that the color needed to be fixed (it was soooo harsh), we were then told to go home and use Dawn soap - which after spending money to go to the salon - seems quite insulting. We felt so uncomfortable with the way we were treated from when we walked in, we didn't go back for the corrective appointment. I have never been to a salon where they stylist didnt want me to walk out happy. Have reached out to management on two occasions to request a refund but no response.

He ensured me that all his clients are treated the same and I was in good hands with him, I believe he's the owner. I wanted the girl who was getting a lot of clients but I'll have to wait 2 months for her so I went with him. When I got there it looked beautiful. All these people getting gorgeous dreads and it was black owned, which I love. He was nice at first and asked what I want. But that did not last. Let make this short. He burned me with hot water twice, was jerking my hair and I told him like 2 times it hurted. The dryer was so hot I told him like twice it burning me. People kept looking at me while he was doing my hair as if they was talking about me ( he know I'm hard of hearing) which wasn't cool. I was in there for 4 hours and my head hurted so bad. My babysitter was like what took so long. I basically wasted like 200 dollars . I hate going to the salons cause something always go wrong. But this was the worst experience I ever had and it really traumatized me that I will NEVER EVER GO TO A SALON AGAIN. I am writing this because I don't want anyone to go through what I went through. If you are different than others don't go here. I started my dreads on my own . The one he did looked like shit . He clearly didn't know what to do with my natural hair type . He even kept asking me if I had a perm. My hair worked better with gel. I wax. I have soft curls. My dreads look really nice due to ME. I did like 3 attempts before I got the look that I wanted which is free. If you want to start dreads. Please take my advise. Do it yourself.

(She's the same one who cut our grandson's hair so successfully.) He's been to numerous other salons since we've been here, he carefully describes what he wants, and sometimes even brings a picture, they nod wisely and then he leaves with yet another "traditional man's haircut", sooo not what he wants. It was a good sign that there were already two other men there, also with more modern styles. The icing on the cake was that it was still just $12!!! The only thing that confuses us is that they don't take appointments at all, but you can "check in" via their app. It must just get your name on the waiting list before you arrive. Hubby's phone can't find the app and I don't need yet another one cluttering up my phone, so we'll be calling ahead to find when Mallory's scheduled. The other stylists at G.C. may listen just as well, but it's so hard to find a really good one anywhere (in any state), that we'll just be staying with her.
