Bree listened to what i wanted to cover my grey but I wanted depth to my color. She got a workout with my thick hair and the results are amazing! My hair color is the best it's ever been. I normally dont go out the night after getting my color done because i have dye framing my face, but she made sure i walked out with color only on my hair. Robert understood my thick hair and my haircut is fabulous. He kept the length but still cut a lot of hair so that my thick hair wasnt flooging out on the ends. My hair has a lot of movement and the cut allows my hair to curl when it wants to without creating a bell shape because of my thick hair If you're looking for a friendly salon with professionals that know their craft - come to LCRJ- you will not regret it. read more

My recent experience at this salon was traumatic. I walked in requesting a simple trim and style, and I left feeling violated, butchered, and genuinely upset--the polar opposite of how one should feel after a professional hair appointment. What was supposed to be a conservative trim turned into a devastating, aggressive cut that saw literally half my hair gone. The result is a butchered, uneven mess that looks less like a style and more like a punishment. I paid a premium to be cared for, only to be left with a physical representation of my distress. I have lived in cherry hill a long time & recently went to the salon. My stylist is out on maternity leave from her salon. I needed color & a blow out. They did accommodate me with an appointment. They welcomed me, but they kept stressing that I've lived in the area yet had never been in. They went over the pricing as they stated because I was a new customer. I wanted grey coverage & wanted my hair to be a deeper shade than it was. It's not a deeper shade, but adequate. It was late on a wed. I was leaving on vacation the next morning. When I went to settle my bill, after my credit card was charged, they informed me that I could not put a gratuity on the credit card. I never carry much cash. They went over so many things beings that I was a new customer, but not that! I had to come back on tues to give the tips. It was extremely inconvenient! I strongly feel that if they wanted to welcome me as a new client, they should have made an exception. Two of the people didn't have Venmo, so I had to return after my vacation which I did. I've been coming to this salon for roughly 12 years. I started going as a teenager and have been unable to ever trust anyone else to cut my hair ever since. I don't color my hair yet, so just go for a cut/blow out - let me tell you Vicki is the absolute best! She has given me everything from short bobs (my current look), to barely a trim when I didn't want short hair - she's honest, and provides options if you don't know what looks good! She's an absolute wizard and I've never had a bad haircut! A genuine person and always takes her time to make sure sides are event and you're happy with the cut! **She also has done my hair for countless weddings, including mine, and it was truly beautiful! I've had make up done by Kelly as well - she's a superstar and want her to forever do my makeup! The salon itself has changed and expanded over the years, to include a product shop, nail, massage, and more. I've been here a few times. The salon doesn't really blow me away, but I decided to get my haircut by my friend's friend. It turned out horrible. I was so upset. I ended up getting it fixed by someone else a few days later. I spent $115 total (including tip) for a haircut that was absolutely botched. After finding one of the stylists instagram, I was amazed at the work she had done for her clients. I have always had a tough time finding someone that could color my dark brown hair to a nice bright blonde. After viewing the pictures on her profile, I was sure that she would be able to help me get the results that I wanted. I even saved a few of the photos of clients she had done so that she would know exactly what I wanted. Here is my experience: I scheduled my appointment three weeks prior and got the exact date and time I wanted. The receptionist that scheduled my appointment was pleasant enough. She took all of my information and I even received a confirmation call the day before my appointment which was helpful. I arrived on time for my appointment at 9:30am on Friday 6/27/14. I was suppose to be her first client that morning. I was escorted to my stylist Wanda's area, only to be told that I could take a seat on the other side of the wall on a bench because she was still in the process of applying extensions on her assistants hair. She came back to get me around 10am and we got started. I showed her the pictures I had saved of hair she had done on other clients and she said she had no problem doing that. My hair was a golden blonde on the top with four chunks of brown that I hated, and the underneath part of my hair was black. She told me that she didn't like the black and that it didn't make sense to her. I had always liked it and never saw an issue with it, but she talked me into lightening it anyway. She took me into the hair washing station and started lightening the underneath. An assistant washed that out and I was escorted back to Wanda's chair where she was foiling someone else's hair. Again, I was told to sit on the bench on the other side of the wall. After waiting a half hour for her to finish, she took me back and started on the blonde portion. My hair was washed by yet ANOTHER assistant and I went back to Wanda to see that she had another client in her seat. I had not scheduled a blow-out because it costs almost $50 at this salon so she blow-dried the front to let me see the color. Because of the dim lighting in the salon, I couldn't tell that she didn't even bother to color my roots and about an inch from my roots, the blonde was actually yellow. I only saw this because I walked out to my car and looked closer. The underneath part was RED and not the chocolate brown color we discussed. She also put two fat chunks of dark brown on either side of my head which I hated. I have no idea how she thought that looked anything like the picture I showed her. I walked back in and complained to a receptionist which found his manager. The manager took one look at my hair and said she would go talk to Wanda. She came back and told me Wanda refused to fix my hair and wouldn't do my hair again in the future. I paid $310 and had given her a $60 tip for her to ruin my hair. The manager told me she would give me back $150. I asked her what I was suppose to do since no one would fix my hair and she said to wait a month and go to another salon to have them fix it! So all in all I spent 5 hours there and paid $220 for someone to make my hair look absolutely horrible. I would NEVER recommend this salon to ANYONE. Horrible management and a stylist that thinks she is awesome at her job when she clearly isn't. I can not express this enough. DO NOT GO TO WANDA MORA. I spent another $200 for another stylist to fix my hair. I tried getting all of my money back but a manager Lois told me that the owners were nice enough to give me some of my money back and I should be grateful for that! I told her I would be writing reviews everywhere I possibly could and she told me that I shouldn't use the name of the salon in the review! Laughable. All in all, horrible experience that I do not wish upon anyone. Steer clear of Louis Christian Wayne Robert Salon and Spa. UPDATE: After my facebook post went viral and was shared 190 times, I received a call back from one of the owners Robert who agreed to refund me my money if I took the post down. He was very nice when I arrived and apologized for my experience at the salon. However, Wanda decided to contact me via Instagram on an account specifically made to contact me, and told me that I need what I did was slander and she is going to take legal action. Maybe if she hadn't done a terrible job and refused to fix it, I wouldn't have had to post things online. Just a warning to anyone that deals with her. read more

Keeping this short - I found this salon through instagram and decided to make an appointment with a particular stylist. Wrote an honest review about my overall less than satisfying experience from when I walked in to when I left - didn't mention names . The stylist contacted me after I made another appointment 6 months later and asked me to take it down - I made another appointment because I figured I'd give her and the salon another shot. I agreed to take it down. Afterwards, I got a call from a manager stating my appointment was cancelled and the stylist didn't want to service me. Had a conversation via text with the stylist to find out that she is okay with not being a woman of her word (cancels after telling me she wants to make sure I'm happy this time). My feelings are that the staff is very rude and unprofessional. Just because the instagram pictures look nice, does not mean the stylist necessarily is and it's about overall experience when you are paying hundreds of dollars at a salon. At the end of the day, I feel as though she probably was looking to cancel with me the entire time but wanted to be nice to me initially just to get me to take my review down. shame on you! read more

Looking for a place to get a Ouidad haircut, I chose LCWR simply for its proximity to my home. Long story short, the haircut was fine - the problem is the SERVICE! I arrived at 2:50 for a 3:00 appointment. When scheduling the appointment, I told the person over the phone that this would be my first time at the salon. The greeting at the front desk was curt, and no one offered to show me where to go! I had to ASK the front desk staff to direct me to the stylist! Since the stylist was still in the middle of another haircut, I was shown to an uncomfortable waiting room filled with products for sale. I was waiting for the stylist for FORTY MINUTES, and I was two minutes from walking out the door when the stylist finally came to get me. Between the tour of the salon that the stylist gave me, the shampoo, the consult, the cut, and the dry, I was there until 5:30! TWO HOURS from the time the stylist came to get me. I like haircuts, but two hours was exhausting and I felt like my whole day was a wash. All the other clients were gone (the salon closes at 4pm on Saturdays), and only a few staff remained. The people who took care of payment made NO effort at being friendly to me - it was obvious they were annoyed that they still had to be there! If I can get a good haircut at many other salons, WHY WOULD I RETURN TO A SALON WITH TERRIBLE SERVICE? It doesn't take a genius to realize that the customer service aspect to a salon is really important and a big part of the salon experience. The staff was so overwhelmingly unfriendly, and the length of time I had to spend there was so ridiculous, that I wouldn't return and I would never recommend this place. The only reason this salon gets two stars is because the haircut was good. read more

She is such a talented hair dresser who stays up to date with the latest hair trends. She will also be honest & tell you what the most practical hair cut you should be getting; she really takes into account your hair texture and hair girth! She is also very personable and funny! I showed her pictures of a Julianne Hough haircut that I have been dying to get and she was able to replicate it exactly how I described. After trying numerous nail salons in the area and clipping coupons for mani-pedi specials, I decided to see if there was an advantage to going to a top notch salon for a pedicure. Boy was I surprised, at LCRJ salon I was immediately greeted by a friendly receptionist (Michelle) who escorted me to the Spa area. Josephine, the resident nail maven, did an amazing job on my pedicure...complete with a foot massage and advice on foot care. The old adage " you get what you pay for' is in full effect at Louis Christian. I will not return to the typical nail salons again. Super excited to be back in the salon, and they have done a great job ensuring proper protocols and guest safety are I place and maintained. Plenty of signs around, and chairs blocked off so distance is kept while in the chair. My color came out amazing, and cut was perfect! The only issue I had was the price for my color. In the end, it was partially lowered- but still a steep cost. I've been coming to the salon for about 8 years give or take, and never had any issues. I'm not sure if they've raised the prices due to being closed (which should be disclosed somewhere), however I've gotten similar services to today's and it was not as much. It sadly almost brought be to tears as it was so unexpected- I thought the receptionist was joking when she said 600 for just color. My normal color service with a similar service is 1/2 that price (as I've had bayalage and highlighting/root touch up style services before). Understanding that it was January since my last color and some extra product is used, but i take great care of my hair and wanted root touch ups and painted sun-lights to give it a sun kissed glow- I don't feel it's worth a $300 markup. I love my colorist, but just sad to have no warning or idea until I checked out. Unfortunately it makes me rethink coming here, as I cannot fathom even paying 400 for a color, excluding cut price and tips. read more

I have been a client of Matt for color and Sal for cuts and style for almost two years now and they never cease to blow my socks off. I am always treated like a VIP, given all the time and attention needed to make me look and feel like a million bucks. I went to LCWR Salon and Spa with my BF for pedicures. Here are our experiences... Price: $50 for a basic pedicure Location: Convenient enough and with ample parking Decor: Sleek, modern, high-end The Good: 1. Calling to make the appointment was easy and the person who took our appointments was helpful. 2. My manicurist did a great job with my cuticles and polish application - which I am very picky about. 3. The manicurists were friendly. The Bad: 1. We were greeted at the front desk by the entrance, and was told to check in to another check in counter (for nails, I guess.) We were never asked if it was our first time and directions were never offered. 2. After we checked in for our pedi's, we noticed the strong chemical smell from artificial nails being worked on - I have experienced places where they have a separate area for artificial nails so clients will not have to inhale the fumes while getting natural nail services done. 3. The pedicure chairs were a bit stiff - which would have been easily fixed with a small pillow for lumbar support. 4. Both our manicurists were late. Nothing was offered to make us feel comfortable while waiting (i.e. water...) 5. The manicurists were all talking to each other, quite loudly actually. Sometimes to a point of yelling because they are telling stories amongst each other from different ends of the room. 6. When my BF asked to use the restroom before he got started, his manicurist actually asked him to turn on the water and fill up the pedicure tub himself when he gets back. Although he did it, I do not think it is his job to do so. 7. The place was not sanitary because: - They all dip their hands in the scrub container without using disposable sticks. This means that the container is contaminated because after scrubbing one leg, they dip their dirty hands in the contrainer again for use on your other leg (which happens over and over - do the math.) - Nail files and buffers are not new and have been used on other clients. 8. My BF's time was cut short. He was booked for an hour pedi and was done in 30 mins. He was really disappointed with the massage (which is what he looks forward to in getting pedis) as it felt rushed and the manicurist was done after a couple of strokes. 9. There doesn't seem to be a strict protocol (i.e. my BF got hot towels wrapped around his legs, and I didn't.) Summary: This is not a place to go to if you are looking for a relaxing manicure/pedicure. I would compare the atmosphere and experience to an asian nail salon, with the difference of higher prices, better decor and that they speak english. To be fair, I did get a good polish and the manicurists were nice. Hence, the 2 stars. Otherwise, I would have only given 1 star. read more

I was referred to this salon by Doris's sister who does my hair in Florida. Doris does a wonderful job with my color and Vince gives me a great haircut. Vince also does my husband's cut and hes been very pleased. (Granted hes almost totally bald.but). Mickie gives me a great manicure. We travel 45 minutes on 95 to get here but it's well worth it. My only negative is that many times the front desk doesn't coordinate our timing properly. read more

The last time I was there, I got hi-lites by Nick. I said I wanted to be blonder then when I came in and I left the same color I was when I got there. I was told, after a few shampoos, it will be the color you want. My bill was $130! This is what you tell someone who spends that kind of money? Really, I think you would be better getting hi-lites /color at Hair Cuttery. I do not recommend the place. About the staff - some of the staff does come off as "snooty" but you really need to check out the princesses and other divas that come here! It's like an all out snooty competition sometimes! I've been going to this salon for four years and every time is the best! Lana is best colorist you'll find. She's always up to date on the newest techniques and styles and you can see it in her work. I live in Philly and would only cross the bridge for her. My hair has transformed over the last four years and in addition to consistently great color, my hair has never been healthier. Lana always listens at the beginning of each appointment and never pushes anything on you. Conversation with Lana though out the appointment is also pleasant and easy. I have never had a massage and was giving a gift card to LCWR for christmas. I know one of the masseuses there (Shabre) because my bosses get massages from her monthly. She is as good as it gets. She was wonderful and made me feel extremely comfortable and it was the best 1.5 hr of my life. Very clean high end place. I adore Billy. What a master craftsman! I am VERY fussy and have really thick hair. He takes the time to thin it out, something few are willing to do. I think he is actually fussier than I am! I have one word for him...PERFECTION! I have been searching for a new stylist for years and have tried many in Center City only to find Billy in my own back yard.
