My experience... After being a client of Holly's for several years and following her from EA to Clarence, I unfortunately will be finding a new stylist/salon. I had to cancel an appt because I was sick, could barely talk & had to see a Dr. I received a text back from Holly saying that I can expect a call from the receptionist to pay a 50% cancellation fee. I was sick, I did not forget about the appt and I did not blow off the appt. I have never cancelled an appt & have never been late for an appt. The cancellation policy was never explained to me. The only mention of the policy was on the site when you scheduled an appt. I started to going the Salon before there was even a website or brochures. All my appts were scheduled prior to leaving the salon. I was never offered a appt card with a cancellation policy on it, nor was I verbally told. Text reminders are sent however, there's not an option to cancel. Of course neither of this would matter because I was legit sick. However, you can't expect to just know a policy if it's not provided to them. To he honest, this was the straw that broke the camels back. The last 3 appts with Holly, I did not leave happy as I did not get what I asked for. An Oct appt, I wanted to discuss a small undercut. I was told I wouldn't like it. No further discussion. Nov appt, I showed her a pic of the color I wanted...I left looking like I have gray highlights. At my Dec appt, I brought it up and didn't even get an apology or explanation. That same appt, I asked Holly to lightly reshape asymmetrical Bob on the long side and to take a 1/2 inch off the shorter side. I left with my hair way too short and a Bob that was not asymmetrical. I loved the salon and everyone there was welcoming. But the fact that there was no consideration for me being sick, says a lot. read more

This was the worst experience of my life at any business establishment ever. I had my hair done by Holly in August. I liked what she did, I let her know that via text. The next time I saw Holly in the fall she made my hair dark orange brown when I asked for blonde. Not only was it the worst hair color I've ever seen, she also cut it lopsided. I asked her while still in the chair to please make it even. She insisted it WAS even. I asked her about the color and why it was so dark and she said it would "lighten up". I went home and literally sobbed. I know that sounds ridiculous but I felt that I looked ugly. I've never been a self conscious person, but this made my confidence completely tank. I then proceeded to ask Holly multiple times to get me back into the chair so that I could fix my hair. She did not respond to me. I also called the salon and explained that my hair was not okay and I needed to get in. I told them I was desperate to get in to fix it before the shut down. They said "okay!" and told me they put me on a list and hung up without taking my name or phone number. I took a shot in the dark and asked another salon if they had any availability to fix my hair. They did. They got me in and it took hours to get the orange out of my hair. They also fixed my uneven hair cut, which they said was off by about two inches. It cost me $300 to have my hair color corrected. I then submitted for a dispute on the charge on my credit card at Salon Valeria because no one would get back to me. I asked for my $180 back from a service that made me feel hideous, all while being ignored by Salon Valeria to get it fixed. I received a phone call from one of the owners the day before Christmas and she was incredibly nasty and rude. I had answered her call in the car while I was driving and my friend heard how nasty this woman was being towards me and couldn't believe a business would speak to their customer in such a venomous way. I couldn't believe what she was saying. She was trying to tell me that they had "text messages" that showed I liked my hair cut and color from Holly. I explained from her those texts were from August when I first got my hair done by her, and that my problem was with the service I received in October. She just kept trying to catch me in a lie. I felt like I was on trial. When I did hang up with her I was shaking. She literally caused me to feel ill from how nasty she was treating me. I will never. Never recommend this salon to anyone. They are nasty and cliquey and don't care about their customers from everything I've experienced. The owner is extremely unprofessional and did a great job at making me feel terrible about myself when the entire time I was just trying to get my hair fixed and was completely ignored. I've never had an issue like this in my life. I've never disputed a credit card charge in my life either. I will be informing everyone I know about the experience I had here. My best advice is for anyone considering Salon Valeria to look elsewhere. I'd be happy to provide photos if anyone is interested. read more

Holly does my hair and she is nothing but personable, knowledgeable, and an absolute sweetheart! Finding a hairstylist that can achieve trendy blonde looks is difficult & every time I leave the salon I am OBSESSED with my hair! she makes me so beautiful / confident every time I come in. If you are looking for a talented hairstylist this is your girl!! Not to mention this salon is beautiful, clean, and professional! Every time I come to the salon it is such a warm environment, I always get greeted by the other stylists and they all are truly so sweet! This was my first time getting my hair professionally done in a salon. I got hand tied extensions by Jessie who absolutely killed it! I have tried all kinds of extensions. Tape in, clip in and now micro bead. After these, I will never go back to anything else. Jess's knowledge and experience alone was so comforting while installing these into my hair. She made the process and experience so great. From the time I got there to the time I left it was nothing but making sure I felt comfortable, happy with what she was doing, and made sure I was 100% beautiful before I walked out that door. I had almost no hair on my head when I walked in. I walked out in complete shock with how I looked. The colors blend SO beautifully and you can't even tell I have extensions! I am so amazed. The amount of compliments I have received is out of this world, how amazing I feel and how beautiful Jess made me look. If you are EVER considering extensions I highly recommend this salon for the service I received alone, on top of the results I got. Jess changed my life. She is the go to.
