We hired Justin Wright/JMW CONSTRUCTION LLC to install pavers at our home in May. The work has NOT…read morebeen completed as of today July 16th. It was to be a 1 week, 5 day job with a promise to come everyday until the work was completed. That 1st week on the 2nd day Justin Wright/JMW CONSTRUCTION LLC did NOT show up. He said he was getting supplies for the project. He has a multi person team so while he was purchasing supplies, his team should have been demolishing the old pavers/deck . No one came that day thus pushing the projects completion avoidably back. Some of the ensuing delays and complications, were due to issues with our homeowners association. Throughout this process, dealing with the HOA, Justin remained professional and did his best to resolve the HOA's demands in our favor. He was unsuccessful. The project is still not completed. Justin Wright/JMW CONSTRUCTION LLC had advised us to use permeable pavers, with appropriate spacing & grout between the pavers, to allow the shower to drain. Unfortunately, this "system" he recommended & installed does NOT allow the water to drain. It floods the pavers creating puddles & may take anywhere from 12-24 hours to dissipate! Justin Wright/JMW CONSTRUCTION LLC now says we need to install a drain which was never offered as an option. We are far from experts but had we been offered the choice between a system that may be effective, the permeable pavers & one that is a sure thing, a drain, we obviously would have elected the sure thing. We relied on Justin's Wright JMW CONSTRUCTION LLC expertise which as outlined proved not to function. Upon reporting this dilemna to Justin Wright /JMW CONSTRUCTION LLC he recommended he install a drain, but of course now wishes to add on another charge! The second problem we are experiencing as a result of Justin Wright/JMW CONSTRUCTION LLC "subpar" ( the words of our HOA) work is a street repair, which proved necessary after the pavers were laid . Justin Wright/JMW CONSTRUCTION LLC elected to use a cold patch, not asphalt as previously was in place. After the cold patch was installed, the HOA & I inspected the cold patch repair. The HOA deemed the work subpar, contacted an outside contractor to repair the cold patch with asphalt & expected us to pay for the repair. Fortunately, we were able to get a reprieve from the HOA with Justin Wright /JMW CONSTRUCTION LLC promising to repair the cold patch. The cold patch was repaired on approximately June 16th but has still not cured. When I informed Justin Wright/JMW CONSTRUCTION LLC on July 6th that the cold patch still had not cured , was fragile & soft , he texted me "impossible". I am concerned that the HOA will still find the work subpar, putting me at risk for a reprimand, fine &/or another costly expense to fix the street where the cold patch has not performed as required. Subsequently, I requested a meeting at our property to demonstrate the failings of the shower & cold patch. I had previously asked that he come by the property anytime, even if we're not there, to assess the situation . This did NOT occur. I texted him this past Friday July 11, with no response. I again texted him on July 13. He now states that the cold patch needs time to cure. This after telling us, as mentioned above, it was "impossible" that the cold patch hadn't cured. On Sunday July 13th, he recommended we talk tomorow. He NEVER called. I texted him that evening reminding him that he neglected to call. At 11:58 pm he texted "call tomorrow". I NEVER heard back from him & waited until Wednesday evening when I again reminded him that he did not call as he stated he would do. He again did NOT call despite asking what his plan was. This morning I provided a brief synopsis of this review to Justin Wright/JMW CONSTRUCTION LLC. He answered within 1 minute!!!! He said he would call & we should be available at 10 am. I have been waiting for the call as requested & it is now 2:05pm & he has NOT called. Accordingly I will have to wash my hands of Justin Wright /JMW CONSTRUCTION LLC & chalk up my experience to a dishonest, unreliable contractor who tells you what he thinks you want to hear. At this point we are left with a shower that doesn't drain, a large area cold patch (one foot by twenty feet -1' by 20' ) that is soft, fragile & uncured as well as an HOA that is unhappy (potentially causing us additional hardships). To resolve these issues it wil require additional funds. We are now at the point wher we will have to consider legal remedies. This review is intended to help future customers in choosing a paving contractor. We wish we had read a review such as ours, so that we could have avoided all of these frustrations & costs. At least you will be able to avoid these pitfalls by NOT choosing Justin Wright/JMW CONSTRUCTION LLC to work on your property. Videos/photos of the flooding shower & still soft cold patch will be posted on Youtube & are also available upon requst.

His project was not only on time and in budget but he negotiated the other subcontractors well (even subcontractors that did not do as they were expected but that is another story). The person who sold the job was exceptional. He told us everything a customer values, Quality, customer service and warranty. unfortunately you will receive non of these important values. After the job was started after we agreed to cost of the project..... An up charge was created because the person who sold us the job and the foreman didn't agree with a dry well or piping out to the street for drainage. A large up charge . Unfortunately everything that was discussed at the time of contract was always a problem. The person who sold us the job said one thing and the foreman did what he wanted.. a constant power battle between the person who sold the job and the foreman running the job. I was left with broken pavers, broken sprinkler lines, puddling and absolutely no customer service. I was promised for months someone would return to correct , but that is yet to happen. Buyer beware!

Their pricing…read moreappears low upfront, but once you sign, they hit you with constant change orders that dramatically increase the final cost. Here's how their process works: At the beginning, you deal with a salesperson who is very sweet, agreeable, and promises everything. Once you agree, they send you a 5-6 page contract that is poorly written and very hard to understand. After signing and paying a large deposit, you are handed off to accounting--who seems to have no idea what the salesperson promised. That's when the problems begin. They start issuing change orders for items that should have been anticipated: Claiming the grade is higher than shown on plans, resulting in a change order of thousands of dollars Charging thousands more for dewatering Equipment location scam: My equipment was planned and bid to be about 30 feet from the pool, which was clearly part of the original scope. After signing, Tom (the owner) suddenly stated equipment is only allowed 10 feet from the pool and demanded $100 per linear foot to extend it. This was never clearly disclosed upfront. Tom, the owner, is rude, arrogant, and unprofessional, especially once you're under contract and financially committed. On top of all this, the project was completed 4 months later than the contract deadline. Final Advice If you choose to work with them: Get EVERY detail in writing Clarify equipment distances Confirm grading assumptions Ask about dewatering costs Have a lawyer review the contract Otherwise, be prepared to pay far more than the original price. What looks like a "good deal" upfront can easily turn into paying nearly double by the end. I would not recommend this company.

Calling back the original roof contractor and informing them of the leak they said I needed to replace the siding of the house in the area of the chimney chase at the tune of $4000!! I then began calling other various contractors for this repair and was told all kinds of BS, from having to rebuild the chimney chase, having to wait as they were too busy, too cold (it was December) and told to wait until spring, etc. It was a bad leak and causing damage to my home not to mention the stress caused on me being at the mercy of contractors. So... I kept on searching contractors and came across Up On The Roof Chimney Sweep during I'm sure their busiest time of the year like everyone else's. However Up On The Roof Chimney Sweep promptly returned my call, took my information, promptly came to measure the chimney chase and came back with a reasonable price and did not take advantage of my situation! I scheduled the job with Up On The Roof Chimney Sweep and could not be happier with the quick prompt service and results that were received! It has been a full 2 months with some heavy gusty rains and no leak so this job was given the test of time! There is barely any worse feeling than being at the mercy of contractors when you have a situation that needs to be correctly fixed in a timely matter and not at a contractor's convenience. Up On The Roof Chimney Sweep not only fixed my chimney leak but relieved the awful stress on me from the start with their integrity, price, answering all my questions, and all the way to the finish product which looks great too! I highly recommend Up On The Roof Chimney Sweep and will definitely use again!!
