We ate here twice in the last few days. The first night we arrived and were promptly seated for our reservation, including our special request. Nick took care of us and was very personable and attentive without being overbearing. We shared the roasted beet salad with goat cheese and it was very good. I wish the beets had been cut a bit larger in order to enjoy them a bit more, but that's just a personal preference. As for the entrees, my wife had one of the best shrimp and grits I have ever tasted! The grits were creamy and the shrimp was slightly sweet and the sauce -craveable. Our second trip a couple of days later, we received the same faultless service this time from David. The grilled artichokes appetizer was wonderful, but the star of the night was the grouper special. Jerk "blackened", perfectly cooked and served on a bed of rice with pineapple and mango. The orange butter sauce was subtle and was a great counter to the jerk seasoning. My daughter and I were there for dinner, on June 3, 2023. We had prime rib and ribs, which we shared both because of the huge servings! Let me tell you that both were fabulous! Presentation was perfect, and taste phenomenal! And our waiter, Michael was so professional, knowledgeable of the menu and had such a great personality! We will be back!! The restaurant boast a perfect setting and ambiance! Service was the best ever, and though we were too full for desert, the chocolate cake that the table behind us was served stood taller than a fork had it been standing up beside of the plate! Outstanding! We live in an area 30 mins away which is twice as big and don't have an eatery half as good. From front door greeting to our server Chris (excellent) holding the door for us upon leaving, you couldn't ask for a better dining experience. Food was unique, flavorful, varied, generously portioned, and well presented. We started with Crack Toast (cheesy and rich) and had NY Strip steak (done to a perfect med/rare) and Shrimp Capellini (tons of shrimp w/ creamy spinach mushroom sauce). The only so-so item was the Truffle Fries, but the creamed spinach side was wonderful. Very important: "save room for dessert!" Or, start with dessert, just don't miss dessert. We had the pleasure of being served by a knowledgeable, well mannered young man by the name of Anthony. He knew the menu very well, and never hesitated to help with any questions we had. The food was second to none, and the atmosphere was inviting. The staff ran the operation like a well oiled machine. They have things figured out. We decided to give a 5 star review, (which is rare) because of the combination of food preparation, how fast it was delivered, the quality the food, and awesome service Anthony provided. Although we have dined here many times, a friend of mine who recently just went to work for you all was let go. After hearing about a lot of inconsistencies and the way she was treated, we will not be giving salt 64 our business anymore. This former employee of yours is one of the kindest and hardest working people I have ever met. You missed out a good human being. We arrived without reservations. Were inot aware we needed them. They seated us at the bar and we had the Best experience. Chris, was the bartender and was not bothered that we did not drink alcohol. He has absolutely the best suggestions for an absolutely wonderful meal. I had the salmon with a crunchy horseradish crust sitting on a bed of unbelievable creamy, risotto. This restaurant is a home run every visit! A must try if visiting Oak Island. Reservations are needed. Atmosphere is slightly upscale. The menu has a good amount of choices but I always come back to shrimp capellini a'la mia. We had dinner this evening at Salt 64. The food was amazing, and the service was second to none. Our server Fai was exceptional. Her smile lit up the room and her attention to detail was remarkable. Girls night out was perfect!! Drinks were on point Eric . We split fried green tomatoes and crack toast (go on and get 2 cracks, you are gonna want it) as our appetizers. Yum! We visited this restaurant on our girls' vacation. The service at Salt 64 was amazing and very quick, our waitress was so kind and talkative which we love! Fabulous! We did not have a reservation (which is recommended and necessary!) but the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful in guiding us to options for that evening. Ambience, staff, and food perfect to celebrate my husband's birthday. There was even a birthday card for him on the table signed "Salt 64 Crew." I hope we get to visit many more times in the future.
