Her assistant Mariyah is so friendly, motivated, and helpful. This team makes a perfect pair. Reading some of these reviews, I'm honestly surprised. We had Amanda as our coordinator for our wedding at the 1880 Union Hotel, a venue that she goes way back with and we had a great experience. We had a lot of very specific asks from Amanda and her team and they were very enthusiastic about it and just made it happen. She was available for multiple meetings, both virtual and onsite at the venue. She took care of everything at the rehearsal and the day of the wedding, we didn't have to worry about a thing. She was also nice enough to let us borrow many items from her such as plate chargers, mirror, artificial hedges, polaroid cameras, etc. The morning after the wedding, the reception area was completely empty and clean with all of our personal items boxed up. Do not ever use Amanda Loesser as your wedding coordinator, nor any venue which requires her services. AFTER WE PAID HER FOR HER SERVICES, SHE DID NOT EVEN SHOW UP TO OUR WEDDING. Before the wedding, we had several meetings schedule with her, for which she did not even show up to one of them. Each and every time we had to text and call her, for which she did not respond. She only responded when we contacted the restaurant which required us to use her. When that happened, she finally showed up... late. When the wedding finally came, my soon-to-be wife and I were literally walking out the door of our home when she texted us to say she would not be there. When we arrived at the venue, her assistant was there. But, first of all, we had not paid Amanda to send her assistant, we had paid her to be there HERSELF. And second, it was clear immediately that her assistant did not have the information we had provided Amanda. For one thing, we had told Amanda that my new bride was allergic to gluten. When the cake was made, guess what it had in it! Gluten! Because Amanda had not bothered to tell the restaurant what we had told her! My wife was sick throughout our honeymoon! Thanks, Amanda!!! There was a host of problems with the wedding that the assistant tried to fix, but they wouldn't have been problems if Amanda had shown up because we had spent MONTHS talking her through the plans!!!! But the most unforgivable issue was with the Zoom meeting. We told Amanda that we were setting up a video conference for our elderly family members who could not make it. She told us not to bother, as she would set up a Zoom meeting. She told us to "let go of the reins" and let her take over. So we did. We cancelled our setup, and let her do hers. Then she didn't show up. So there was no Zoom meeting. We tried to contact her by phone, text, email, etc. Even her assistant tried to reach her several times, but to no avail. Amanda could not be bothered. Finally, the restaurant set something up in her stead, but there was no sound, and the view was blocked by my wife. I don't blame the restaurant, which was trying to cover for Amanda's faults... I blame Amanda, who was not there and told us to "let go of the reins." Some of these elderly family members have been waiting for years for us to get married. Some of them are no longer with us. I will never forgive Amanda for abandoning us, and destroying this beautiful moment for us. Those family members did not get to participate because she told us to "let go of the reins" and trust her. My wedding at Inn of the Seventh Ray was in March 2023 and it's honestly taken me over a year to process how things went so downhill. We met with the wedding coordinator, Amanda, for a tour in late October 2022. She was nice and provided quite a bit of information up front. She sent us a proposal shortly after our meeting, we accepted and sent in the deposit within a week. At this point, knowing we had only four months to get our wedding planned, we were eager to learn about timeline of our next steps... We didn't get a link to our "planning portal" from Amanda until December. I inquired with Amanda about when we'd need to come back for a tasting to get our menu finalized. She didn't get a tasting scheduled until February, two weeks before our wedding date. During a last minute meeting with Amanda discussing decor details, she asked if I planned to use the venue's wedding backdrop stand for the ceremony, I had not even been informed that was an option. I had already spent money buying and assembling my own. On the day of my wedding, things started out smoothly. I arrived, got changed in the" bridal suite" (a curtained off area in the Women's restroom that all restaurant guests will have access to), had photos taken before my guests arrived, ceremony went well. Then things started to take a turn. On Amanda's schedule of events, there was a time slot for her to make a "bride & groom announcement" after the ceremony, that never happened. We got seated for dinner at the creekside area and after a bit of time, Amanda let me know that she had to leave early due to an issue with her child. Of course, I was understanding of this. She left another gentleman in charge for the remainder of our event time. My mother asked Amanda specifically, "who is going to pack up the belongings from the bridal suite before our departure?" As the bride with a designated wedding coordinator, I assumed this would be taken care of for me. Amanda replied to my mother assuring her and I that all personal items from the suite would be loaded into mine or my mother's car before leaving. Fast forward to the next morning, I noticed there were a few of my things in my trunk but not all. I immediately called my mother and she also had a few things but still missing items including my hair straightener, the shoes I had arrived in, and best of all my garment bag for my wedding dress, my bouquet, and my veil which was borrowed from my cousin. We went straight back to the venue, Amanda was not there so we located the gentleman that was left in charge the night prior. He said he hadn't seen anything. Amanda said she'd be back there later and would look for my things. At this point, we had to head home and prepare to leave the country in less than 24 hours for our honeymoon. After pestering Amanda, she texted me saying she had the garment bag and bouquet but nothing else. She said she'd send photos of what she had and said she would check the venue again. Never got the photos, never reached out to offer a date/time for me to meet with her and get the things of mine that she did have. After weeks of pleading for answers as to what happened with my belongings and if this had happened ever in the past, Amanda replied to me saying that the venue is not responsible for my lost property. Needless to say, I never recovered any of my lost/stolen items, even the ones she had claimed to have found. To say I'm disappointed in the service provided by Amanda, which the venue forces you to hire, would be the understatement of the century. If you too are forced to have her coordinate your wedding, be careful and don't trust that she will do her due diligence. read more

The weekend of my wedding was the historic winter storm here in Los Angeles. I was so worried, but Amanda handled everything with grace. She rearranged our entire floor-plan to make sure our guests stayed dry. She coordinated with our many vendors effectively, handling all necessary adjustments for inclement weather. I helped with planning some aspects of my cousin's wedding & she hired Amanda for 'month of' services. Amanda delivered more than what most 'month of' coordinators typically provide & she was so friendly & personable. I had so much fun working with her & she handled everything so well! We had a hitch with the makeup artist not showing up (the artist is not affiliated with Amanda), but Amanda immediately went to work making sure that makeup would still get done & that the rest of the day would still run smoothly. Lets start with the good. Amanda is a lovely person and very kind. However, I hired her based off reviews and I feel its important to be honest for future couples about our experience working with her, as your wedding is a once in a life time event and I felt mislead ultimately in my experience working with Amanda. Leading up to the wedding she was great, in the last two weeks everything took a turn. She did not follow up with vendors, she did not communicate in a timely manner (unlike all the other vendors), she did not follow through on certain things (said she would bring decor, totally ghosted on this) and she ended up causing a lot of stress in the week leading up because of all this. I thought OK, maybe she will make up for it during the wedding....Unfortunately I was wrong. We had 3 nights at our venue, all three of which she was supposed to be there to meet vendors / set up / help with lay out. All three nights, there was some excuse - flat tire, covid emergency, family illness. She ultimately showed up 15 minutes before the ceremony started. The assistant she sent was great, but she wasn't the person we had spent months talking to in preparation. We had a certain vision for certain things, and it ultimately didn't work out because SHE WASNT THERE. I can't tell you how upset this made me leading up the ceremony. Also in the take down, she said we would not have to do a thing the next day. Not true, the take down was a mess; luckily our friends and family were available to assist. The venue told us they had never seen a wedding planner leave the place as she had. The make up artist told me she worked a wedding with her in the past and it was the most chaotic wedding she had been apart of. She just wasn't there for us in the way we needed her to be. I feel bad because again, she's a lovely person. But when your paying good money for a service for a once in a life time event, you should know that ultimately, we felt disappointed with her services. I wish Amanda the best, but please be wary of who your getting into business with. In retrospect, I almost wish we had spent more money to get a planner the venue was more familiar with. Ultimately, we loved our wedding, but the experience with the planner left something to be desired. read more
