One of my friends recommended this place as he loves Salt and Stone products. I tried those products at his house so I decided to try them out. Luckily they had some salt and stone body mists and deodorant in stock. Absolutely love it. I have been using La Labo which can get expensive. Salt and Stone products can have the same effect for a cheaper price. The store had various other products as well. Customer service was great. The items are distinct and high quality, without gouging or over the top pricing. We ended up with a variety of gifts for family, and a few presents for our home and ourselves. I gave this place 2 stars simply because the items and home decor are cute and the location was fun to browse. While you could find a unique gift or item for your home the prices are excessive. $44 for one coffee mug?? I think the 1st time I came here was in 2014. I stopped by here over the wknd to waste some time before soul cycle class in the front lot. They have unique homegood items for adults as well as children. The store reminds me of a brick and mortar Etsy shop. I purchased lotion, salve and an art sculpture jewelry holder. I really respect that they ask each customer that walks in to put hand sanitizer on and signs posted informing customers to keep masks over nose. Every store should be like this. Look, the stuff is gorgeous, but you're paying for the curation not the products. I bought a (gorgeous) cocktail shaker there for about 68 $ and then found the same one on Amazon for 40. That kind of mark-up is pretty absurd. I'd go in for inspiration and then search the products online. Salt & Sundry, as the name implies, sells items related to eating but definitely, high end, interesting, boutique-y items. For instance they have some unique dish towels, interesting cocktail mixers, savory sauces and cute dishes. Beyond the kitchen, they also have some things for the home like throw blankets and pillows. If you are shopping for a gift, it's worth checking out the jewelry and scented lotions and candles. I personally loved the cute Pebble brand children's toys. The style of the items sold at Salt & Sundry are eclectic but the store is nicely arranged to make you want to explore every nook and cranny. I am a total sucker for these type of shops - Salt & Sundry is owned by Amanda McClements; this urban bohemian-esque store offers unique/whimsical items for the table, the home, for the bar, candles, products for the body (like chapstick), and even nibbles & sweets. I especially love their candle votives, hand-stitched decorative pillows, the greeting card collection, as well as the milk glass cups :D The staff here are oh-so-pleasant and really lets you to peruse the store, kindly reminding you to let them know of any assistance that you may need. It was so cool to hear that the owner's father creates the shop's one-of-a-kind tables and shelves that display the store products! Salt and Sundry is the hipster's paradise. It has anything a hipster would want: S'well water bottles, old school cookbooks, bitters, Mast Chocolate from Brooklyn, habenaro salt from Brooklen, hand made soap from Brooklyn....what more could a hipster want? On top of that, the staff look like hipsters and even the shelves that display each item look hipster. The two downsides is that everything is hipster prices ($10 for a chocolate bar from Brooklyn) and if you aren't dressed like a hipster, you may feel out of place. Other than that, definitely stop by Salt and Sundry after you get a latte from Peregrine at the other side of the market. read more

Salt & Sundry is an adorable shop with an apropos name. A variety of kitchen and bath products are offered, including a number of items for your home bar. Maldon sea salt is sold, so I try to keep that in mind, as I often run out and like to remember the places I can buy it. Though I've not yet found much for myself, I've bought some special gifts here, and always look forward to perusing this shop. I've never had any staff interactions, and the small space is often quite crowded, so be prepared. read more

I love that this is one of the few places at Union Market that does not sell food. Instead, Salt & Sundry offers beautiful and unique items for the house. Their furniture is on sale and is made by the owner's father. Beautiful hand-crafted stuff that is expensive, but one of the employees last Saturday gave me a sheet of paper with info on custom furniture and went over the details - awesome customer service! In addition, despite all the customers in the store, I was asked for help at least one other time and saw other employees helping customers. It's clear the items are curated and selected for their quality and novelty. I will say a lot of the stuff is pricey and similar items might be found at Anthropologie, but I really am digging this alternative to the other vendors at Union Market. read more

Found a pair of earrings that I loved, and was going to buy. I asked a woman who worked there if she could take it out of the case so I can feel how heavy they are. She did no problem, and walked away for a minute to do a price check on them. The MINUTE the employee walked away and I still had the earrings in my hands, another employee approached me and was 2 feet away from me...staring and keep in mind she didn't say hello or how can I help you or even smile...just staring. She was staring at me with her arms crossed until I put them down and said I'm not interested anymore. She then walked away and did the same aggressive behavior to another woman who also left immediately after. How are you suppose to get sales when you're treating everyone as a shoplifter?! read more

Salt & Sundry is a mid to upper end affordable home decor shop that has a lot of aesthetic similarity to what you might see at an Anthropology. It seemed to me that they leaned heavily into home bar tools, accessories, and glassware. I was pleasantly surprised to find several tools that were great options as additions to my own home bar. When department stores and the like offer these types of goods, it's typically too superficial to find useful items. Salt & Sundry had a well curated selection of offerings that are actually useful. read more

I was overwhelmed by the amount of stuff in here and had to restrain myself from blowing a bag lol. I purchased some sage, palo santo sticks, and a pretty key ring that my daughter picked out. I recently did an outing to Union Market. This is such a quaint, cute shop that features many locally produced candles, tonics, stationary, bath products, and other home goods. It is the perfect place to grab a unique present. I personally loaded up on the Gordy's Bloody Mary mix, candles, and a cookbook for my mom for mothers day. While some of the goods are pricey, I do think that the quality of products are incredibly high and worth the extra $$. I'll be returning! read more

I loved this place and I'll be back. It has bohemian things for the home reminiscent of anthropology but mixed with the high quality of a home decor boutique with items from local establishments. Today my boyfriend and I purchased a hand poured soy candle that smells like the beach for $30, 10% of the proceeds go to help rescue dogs in need. We also got a bright, colorful woven bowl ($58) to use as a fruit bowl in our kitchen. It was made by hand by a women in Africa. It came with a tag introducing her self and explaining that because she has been given the opportunity to create and sell these bowls in America, she has been able to afford food, electricity, health care etc and she is able to send her children to school. I thought that was so cool. My boyfriend got bourbon bitters mix, so he was excited about that. I will definitely be going back again soon. It's a great place to find gifts for people too. read more
