I'm a fan of most parks, and Salt Creek is no different. Let's start with what this park has to offer; -Outdoor and Indoor Basketball Courts: My nephews frequent this place for their bball practice and even have some games here. The indoor courts are clean and staff is pretty fair. -Decently sized playground for kids to play -Enough benches for parents to watch their kids play. -Location: My teenager lives a hop, skip, and a jump away from here. My baby's front yard is literally Salt Creek. Yes, I've been to Salt Creek's community center a ton of times. I could be the Duke if I could only remember to check in. -Fitness Room: They have a small fitness room where you can get your workout on. This fitness room is not for me because I need a little more than just a handful of machines, but it's perfect for the peeps living in the community that's looking for a quick workout. -Trails: From the community center runs trails that circle the area. The next time I'm in town, I am using the start of the trail for my half marathon training. The trail doesn't run 12 miles, but that's what side streets are for. San Diego Rock n Roll here I come!!! There's plenty of parking at this park and til this day it's still well maintained. I laugh at Maria C's review about the parking if you're here for a Filipino party. She mentioned how crazy the parking can get. She's so right about that. Come to think of it, I think I was at the same party. PS: I haven't seen dangerous wildlife at this park (i.e. snakes, coyotes, mountain lions, ladybugs, etc). There are some dogs though and you never know when one is going to bite you in the leg, ha. I've been coming to these courts for over a year and a half and they have yet to fix the gate latch on the tennis court. It's a simple purchase order request that can be done. I just can't comprehend how no park employee has been able to push for this to be fixed. People have to literally brought sticks, 550 cord, ropes, strings, to keep it from opening. Ventured out today and passed by this park. I saw this park a few times in the past when I used to side hustle Uber Eats. I decided to get my beach cruiser to explore the park. Note to self this park is mainly dirt trails so I would recommend a hybrid or MTB instead to bike around. The park itself is pretty spacious and wraps around a nice neighborhood. There is a baseball field here where the kiddos play. There is also a community center located here for I am guessing various events or maybe reserved parties. read more

Lovely community park in the Eastlake area. Plenty of street parking all around. It features large open fields, a playground, and covered picnic areas. There are some dry patches of grass but that didn't bother us. Wonderful scenery and walking trails nearby. Super pleasant! Overall clean, well kept, and a nice place to spend time! read more

Loved the park environment it's so clean, safe, friendly neighbors, and well paved for ADA. I had a great time with the kids in the playground. The restrooms were so clean and sanitary. There's nice trails and event halls. Overall a fun experience definitely live living in this neighborhood. Highly recommend a visit for party's or a day of fun. read more

3.5... What a great community park and center. Came here for my cousin's baby's 2nd birthday. There are lots of recreational activities you can do here. I observed several parties/picnics going on, which made it very family friendly. Available are outdoor basketball courts, indoor basketball, tennis courts, skate park, indoor soccer area, and interactive playgrounds for the kids. There are several picnic areas that you could reserve for a fee. Ample parking, but if you're going for a Filipino party - good luck trying to find parking!!! My only complaints about this place are that there are NO doors to the bathroom stalls and no seat covers. You would have to use someone as a door if you have to use the bathroom. YUCK!!! read more

Another great park in Chula Vista. They have a playground with covered picnic tables right by the rec center. Indoor and outdoor basketball courts. A good amount of parking space in the lot. Like the other Chula Vista rec centers, they offer a variety of classes for all ages. They are also open for use on sundays which is pretty cool. The few times I've been here has been good experiences. Clean, well maintained, peaceful. A nice community space. read more

This is a gorgeous facility located across Otay Lakes Roads from the Clubhouse at the Woods. For about $25 per quarter, you can join their fitness center. It has state of the art weight machines and several cardio machines. They also keep a trainer on staff a few days per week who provides free consultations and services to members. One day when I went to use the eliptical, a trainer approached me about my form. She ended up designing a whole work out routine for me to do whenever I go. I never found the fitness center to be too crowded, and the mood is low-key. No one is pumping big iron or checking you out. Plus, you can't beat the price compared to LA or 24-Hour fitness. This facility does not have a pool, but they do have basketball courts, tennis courts, a soccer facility, and ping pong etc. read more

This place is my go to spot for indoor soccer. Ive been coming here since I was in high school 4 years ago and I've had a good time playing pick up games with whoever is there. They've redone the turf finally after they ripped out the old turf and left it in the middle of the field. Now with better turf more people have been coming out to play but sometimes take pick up games too seriously... like really? You're gonna get mad and complain like you're playing in a professional game, get out of there with that attitude. People come to kick the ball around and pass time not get into fights. But anyways it's a place anyone interested in soccer should go! read more

I hosted an event on Jan 30th in one of their rooms. The services were satisfactory and the process was smooth- BUT The deposit for the room was $200, (which is fine) so I was charged, and I was told that it would be refunded within 2-3 weeks. It is March 1st and the charge is still on my card. I have left 3 messages for the person in charge over the course of 3 weeks. I HAVE YET TO RECEIVE A CALL. He is never in his office when I call. This is terrible customer service! I hope someone from the rec center reads this and takes action to prevent this from happening again. read more

Beautiful place, beautiful park. We hosted a birthday party here and it was smooth sailing. I would suggest coming here early so you don't have to pay for reservations and get prime parking. It's a huge park and has plenty for anyone to meander and enjoy a picnic or a walk. read more

I'm a fan of most parks and Salt Creek is definitely one of the best parks I've ever been to. I usually don't check in though since I don't have the time to do that on Facebook. The basketball courts (both indoor and outdoor) are totally awesome the activity offered are also really fun. The staff there is so friendly and courteous. They even have a ping-pong table but be sure to bring your own balls and paddle since they seem to have NO BALLS and crappy paddles. Also, be sure to check out their activities since they almost have them everyday of the week and weekend. The trails are really good if you're in for a walk. read more

We hosted a birthday party here, we chose this place for guest convenience (location, comfort and parking). It was a Sat so we paid $500 for the event from 12-5 pm. During the party the air conditioner was not working, it was very hot in the room. They gave us 2 small fans but it did not help, they recommended opening the doors but the flies were coming in. It was so hot that the cake melted, and our visitors were all drenched in sweat by the time the party was over (It was very embarrassing ) I called the Rec supervisor to tell them what had happened and all he can say is I'm sorry it happened. He said partial refund cannot be offered. If they knew they were having air conditioning problems, why did they not notify the people booking for events and give them options. If I knew this is advance, I would have looked for another place or held it outdoors where it is cooler and free. read more

this is a nice park and community center. you can play basketball, volleyball, or ping-pong inside the gym. right next to it you can play pool, foosball, and air hockey. there's a room where you can throw a party for the little kids. i love the basketball courts and rings they have in Chula Vista. the park is really nice. there's also a skate park adjacent to the main building. the only thing sucks is that it closes early =/ read more

the rec center is filled with lazy employees who don't care about the community, they just want a pay check. i walked in earlier this morning at 12pm to use the restroom, and some random employee tells me that "they are closed", and to "use the restroom outside". i gave this damn rec center over 120 hours of community service when i was in high school, and now they tell me that i can't use the restroom because the rec center is apparently broke and can't stay open on a sunday afternoon! this rec center is a joke! just look at the condition of the indoor soccer field! read more

Great play equipment for the kids, wish there was a sunshade over the tot lot or at least some trees. No shade so you can't stay long. A dog park would also be a great addition. read more
