Knee replacement went wonderfully. Great staff from beginning to end. The check in was a breeze and everything right along with it.

It took about 3 minutes to get set up and the draw was awesome. How can I say a blood draw is awesome, I did not feel the needle going into my vein and no poking around. She recently was hospitalized and is working on gaining her strength back in a rehab facility. Dr. Arlinda Elezi decided that she was only going to look at me and speak like my mom cannot speak for herself. She also felt the need to go over everything that my mom has to do over the next few months as far as follow up appointments go like we are both not aware of what she needs to do. When we expressed our frustration with the facility and how they are not providing the care that they advertised when we toured it and stated that they are understaffed and that the doctor on site comes in once a week and will talk to my mom for maybe two minutes. Her response was "I'm reading a report from the fourth, what's the doctors name" looking right at me implying that we are not around enough to know what kind of care my mom is receiving. Which is insulting since between myself and my two other siblings at least two of us have spent hours a day spending time with my mom. And the fact that Dr. Arlinda Elezi wanted to embarrass me by proving that I don't remember a doctors name is incredibly unprofessional.

The Board of Trustees at Good Samaritan need to address the elder abuse that is occurring at their hospital with the level of incompetence in the following individuals: Anas Lababidi -He added medication to the patients nebulizer which settles on the vocal cords, he knew the patient would not be able to speak afterwards. None of this was shared with the patient or family. The pain and suffering the patient went through afterwards was unbearable. The patient could not speak or communicate and cried in frustration and sadness. Lababidi knowingly silenced the dying patient and is a perpetrator of elder abuse. Roberto Viau Colindres -Horrifyingly inhuman -This "doctor" tells the patient they will die, directly to their face. -When asked a clarifying question he said "I'm not going to repeat myself" and walks out of the room. -his manner is sickening and patients and family are scared when he enters the room Basil Hernandez There is a saying in the medical community that Hospitalists are the bottom of the barrel and lowest on the hierarchy. Basil proves this point exactly. -He marked our loved one as incapacitated when the patient was talking and requesting things. His colleague showed me this notation on the computer screen. -He walks out of the room as you are asking questions trying to learn about your loved ones condition. -We had to beg him to use his stethoscope in his maximum 30 second visits to the patient where he did nothing. Maddelena (Maddie) Deneaufbourg -Aggressive and pushy, she is supposed to be there for a patients family to offer palliative care. Even her coworkers had to stop her from harassing my family. She preys on people when they are at their lowest. -She walks into the patients room unannounced and touches your loved one without permission -When you ask her to please leave you alone she does not.

I eventually had to specifically ask a staff member to clean the blood off my finger and my hand. Neglect of Pain Management: I was never brought any form of pain medication during the entire visit after asking for it. When asked about this, I was told that maybe it would be brought to me when I was discharged. Failure to Provide Basic Comfort: I was forced to ask for an ice pack to manage the swelling and pain, which was not proactively offered by the nursing or medical staff. I then had to ask for another ice pack after the first one was no longer cold. Absolutely horrible, horrible, horrible experience. Do not go here for any emergency services!

I have never never been so intimidated or felt harassed by the staff at Northwestern memorial…read more ER. tonight. My sister by another mother was taken from Tavern on Rush and admitted into the ER. I inquired about her at the front desk. the white girl at the desk in et was rude condescending as I explained the situation and said I didn't understand the process and was trying to. This attitudes by her was awful and quite rude for a hospital staff member She then told she had not been processed nor had she been admitted or registered in yet but to please wait that was at 9:30 PM. !!there was a second person who was black and very kind trying to answer my questions while she continues to interrupt her and act like she knows more then everyone rolling her eyes. but the white girl who would not let me go back and see her told me there can only be certain visitors. The physicians assistant called on my phone told me to get a visitors pink pass and I could back. This nasty girl yea girl if 22-25 brown hair 5'5 told when I said Howe's the last. Who said this, she called you, "we'll hang on" she came back and said nope you can't go back. The nice nurse or cna Becca came out to speak to me. How a hospital could allow anyone to act this way is beyond me. She was condescending and rude making me feel like I was doing something wrong. She than pushed her chair back and ran in the through the doors in what appeared to me to speak to someone about me visiting her .When I came back she told me I could not go back and see her. She was intimidating and acted like she ruled the roost.. disgusting for an RN, CNA or any hospital staff member . whoever. I come from Adventist in Hinsdale and can't imagine anyone acting like this in regards to patient care patients no matter what the sociological economic status of patients or family members inquiring is. The physicians assistant Becca or RN as I did not see her badge was kind considerate came out and explained and tried to a praise me of what was going on and why I could not see my her. She further explained it was because we had come in together from Tavern on Rush where she was picked up in the ER vehicle. She then said if we did let her go with you how would she get home. I explained what the process would be. The front desk person who was so disrespectful and literally holier than thou ran back in the back to speak with Becca who was kind when I asked again can I go see her she said just a minute. However after the front desk staff meme we made sure I could not go back for whatever reason she deemed was her right not mine to play god. Never explaining but with a total lack of disregard to a person. Is that how a hospital is run and that is accepted behavior. DISGUSTING TO BE ALLOWED!! We are now well into 2 hours of me inquiring and none the more informative. It is about 11 and I am still trying to figure out how I can see my her in the back and what's going on. Again Becca comes out explains that they would release her to someone else that did not come in from Tavern on Rush because we were together at there and they were not allowed to release to someone who is with her at there. Wow news to me on this point but ok. Not wanting to make waves nor have I made any I again went to the waiting room and waited. When I asked can I see her please, what's going on?? The same staff member who I will call the little Missy girl told me there were five people who inquired about her and are here. I said what there is only me here there are not 5 people. She then looked at me like I was stupid and said "Yes there are 5 people who have inquired, then the security guard also got snippy like I was stupid or on something. Hmmm Like I didn't follow the ambulance in and ask her questions - no one else was there. Now if her son called ok so say that don't be rude and snippy when a person is inquiring on the admitted!!! What is up with the intimidation of her and the security guard when I inquired. What 5 people I came here with the patient. There is no need to strong or intimidate a person asking questions of care. There is no reason for this type of behavior from either one of them when a simple question has been asked. When the CNA or whatever Becca was came over speaking to me . The rude Missy girl left her post from the front desk of the emergency room to run over and say what's going on what did she want. What is this you told her WOW how is this person employed there
