A year later and we still love Salt Marsh! It's weird if we don't usually come here at least once a week. It's such a great place to hang out with friends and chill. There's a drink or snack here for everyone's taste- kids or adults! The staff goes above and beyond to make your visit here enjoyable and the owners are just the sweetest. We can't imagine what we would do on the weekends if we didn't have Salt Marsh to go hang out at- whether inside at the bar or outside on the really cozy deck! Great place to go for about anything local from a small market- to go craft beers, local freezer meals, coffee, almost everything! They also have beer on tap and a cute little outside area to enjoy your beverage or snack. You don't see many independent markets around Topsail especially on the beach, so it a very good place to go if you don't want to grab your keys and drive out to find a bigger supermarket -Just stay in your comfort zone and walk on in - vacation mode intact! I used to drive to Veggie Wagon in Wilmington and was thrilled when Salt Marsh Market opened in my area. This small shop has a vast selection of wine, hot sauce, specialty food items, and quality Veggie Wagon frozen foods including gluten free. I cannot live without the cookies or the frozen pulled chicken enchiladas. The cookies rarely make it home; they are so delicious that I devour them within a short drive time from shop to my house. I always keep at least one enchilada in my freezer because it serves as lunch over a five day work week or dinner and lunch the following day for my family. Whenever I am in the market for a great wine, I run right over to Salt Marsh where I find bottles I read about in magazines and can't find elsewhere in my area. This is a great spot to sit for a spell and enjoy a glass of wine or craft beer or stock up on quality items when coming from out of town to stay at a beach rental. As an area local, I appreciate this shop and always try something new each visit. Today I picked up the Thai pineapple, cashew, and coconut rice to add as a side with dinner. This dish will now be one of those items I keep in the freezer at all times. Amazingly delicious and so quick to cook! All the food items really are restaurant quality, and I'm a cocktail lover, and Salt Marsh also has a great bar supply section with unique items to use as garnish such as dried citrus wheels. read more

This is my first time here and I had a flight. Manila mango, Swingbridge, coffee, blonde ale, and Thank You for Your Service!. I am not an IPA person, but I had to try 'Thank You for Your Service'. I only have one problem with the picture. She/He is not facing you while saluting. That is the only reason why they got a four star versus a five star. Atmosphere is great. I love the idea that its service connected. More importantly, the four beers were fantastic! read more

We were sitting having a beer at salty turtle and looked over next door and saw all things this market had to offer. We went in and were pleasantly surprised by all the products they carry. You can even sample beers on tap or have glass and sip and shop. They make mimosas for $5! They have wine slushies! They had some pretty interesting nc products.. home made vegan cookies, margarita mixes, coffee beans you can grind there and take home fresh bag , already made meals like flatbread pizzas and dips and casseroles! The possibilities are endless!!! They also sell bottles of wine and a variety of canned beers .. a very cool market you have to go in to appreciate.. not sure you'll come out empty handed!! What a cute little market! The store smells absolutely delicious when walking in. Like fresh baked cinnamon rolls. We stopped in to grab some of their prepared meals on our way home. I purchased the baked penne, lasagna, and chicken pot pie. I also purchased some wine gummies. They have a wide variety and selections of craft brews and wines, cheese and charcuterie options. They offer unique specialty items that are lovely enough to be given as gifts. If you're looking to do a nice picnic on the beach, make this place your one stop shop. They offer sandwiches, cheese spreads, pickles, cured meats, etc. I could easily spend a great deal of time there just looking at all the offerings and thinking of things to make with it. read more

What a beautiful store! They have a long bar area with beer on drafts, yet also serve coffee and shakes. So clever! They have a lot of outdoor tables if you prefer to sit outside. They serve food, but we didn't eat here today. I love their merchandise! It's very diverse from hot sauce, spices, prepared food, and beer and wine glasses. Love this addition to Topsail! (Well, just before you get to Topsail, near Salty Turtle ;)). This place has some great foodie options for people who love small bites and charcuterie style eating. Fresh cheeses, meats, pickles, jams, honey... even charcuterie boards! They also have lots of frozen foods/meals, such as flatbread pizzas. There are lots of options, including many vegan or vegetarian options. I'm in love with the nut butters they sell! They have seasonal flavors, such as a pistachio crunch, and are really yummy! I also love the cute gift items they sell! Great for a vacation memento (like a NC shaped cutting board). First family vaca to Topsail Island and fell in love! Salt Marsh market is the coolest shop ever! Found an amazing oyster bag, salt marsh hat, kids had incredible milkshakes and brought home some freshly prepared Mac n cheese that we heated up with our dinner later! The vibe is local, eco-friendly and just honest pure cool. Next time will sit at the bar for a local draft and likely bring home the bigger outer bag and a super soft logo tee!
