When Salt N Pepper first popped up on my radar, their spin on India food didn't look appealing to me. I didn't want avocado samosas. But after months went by, I decided to give them a chance because I was craving something different. So I went in to order some lunch to go. Yes, I ordered the samosas, tandoori chicken Half, and garlic naan bread. I believe it was one of the owner taking my order. He questioned whether I knew that tandoori chicken did not come with sauce, I said yes. Guess naan bread should only be used for sopping up sauce. I planned on putting some chicken on the naan and top with tamarind sauce. Okay, I am weird. I paid the man and sat to wait and wait I did. He apologized for the delay but said everything was made fresh. Thirty minutes and i have my food. At home, I opened up the bag. I worry when I order tandoori chicken because it is usually dry. This was not dry. In fact it was perfect, moist and delicious. The samosa did not taste like avocado nor eggs, it was filled with potatoes and spices, very good. The naan was soft but could have used more garlic. Sorry I took so long to eat here but I will be coming back for more. read more

This place has been in my sights for a while but for some reason I had not stopped in. Glad I finally did. Here was the order: Tiki Masala, a chicken Biryani, and yellow chicken curry with, of course, some garlic naan bread. Not a bad entree in that order. We did take out so I can't comment on what it would be like to eat in. All I know is the food. The portions were generous - the Biryani in particular was massive, and the tiki masala tangy and delicious. Only caveat - wow is it spicy. We ordered mild and it was still too much at times (admittedly I'm a beat weak when it comes to spice but even my wife who has guts of steel said it was spicy). We washed our car before eating here so those of you who wanted rain.......you're welcome. We always try some of our go to dishes when trying a new place, the chicken tika masala, i ordered medium so my wife would enjoy it too, was tender and had lots of flavor, the white meat chicken at some places comes out dry, not here. The samosas were very tasty. We loved the garlic nan bread. They are open for dining in and we were the only ones taking advantage of that. A few people picked up some food. Amazing Indian food in cedar park!! It was our first time here so we got the basics: tandoori chicken, butter chicken, tikka masala chicken, and naan. Everything was delicious and came out super hot and fresh. We were for an event at HEB center nearby after which we wanted to try something I. The area. This name came up and we went for it. The place is small but was very clean and service was amazingly good. They were really busy but still had attention to our table. We ordered schezwan noodles, paneer butter masala and malai kofta along with butter naan. Malai kofta was the best of the lot. Specially their kofta were really flavorful and filing was done perfectly which is rare to find. Paneer butter masala was usual taste. But one good thing about both was not too much cream which is how it should be. Butter naan came fresh too. But schezwan noodles were quite okay as it was just mix of noodles and frozen vegetables. It also lacked that schezwan flavor and also not spicy enough for us even after ordering it spicy. Was looking for a new place to try out and decided to order from here - picked up the Chicken Tikka Masala along with Garlic Naan. First of all wow! The tikka masala has an awesome heat level and goes wonderful with the garlic naan. I enjoyed dipping the naan in the dish. The naan was crispy yet still chewy and had all of the lovely aromatic flavors from the garlic being baked with it. The chicken tikka masala was a real treat to experience. Good spice level, creamy, and lots of flavor. The entree was still hot when I got it and retained its heat while eating too. Chicken pieces were marinated and tender. The rice that came with the dish was beautifully cooked and I was happy to find a bay leaf included in it which made it extra special. Maybe I should eat there. Ordered to go and wasn't very impressed. Ordered the onion pakoda- soggy and bland. I was hoping it would at least be crispy fried yellow onions but very disappointing. The side sauces did not help. For my main order the vindaloo curry with lamb. Flavor profile is weak for Indian and the lamb tough. The potatoes were the star. The double is meeta dessert at least saved things in the end and really the reason for three stars because I have a sweet tooth. This place is great and the staff that answer the phones are super friendly. I got tika masala, rice, whole fish, samosas, garlic naan and mango lassi. I ordered everything as mild and it was perfect. The green sauce was super spicy for me so that was more than I could handle. Everything was good except I wasn't as excited about the fish as I thought I would be. Just an outstanding lunch experience. We had the Cauliflower Wings, chicken kabobs, chicken Tika Marsala, Tex-Mex Nan, and Chi teas. Each was excellent and came in course, hot from the kitchen. We ordered mutton shorba, singapore noodles and panipuri. Both were disappointing. Panipuri was stale and not crisp at all,the pani was awful and thick. The food was delicious. All I wanted was a Tandoori chicken with rice and Tikka masala curry but took them 2 mins to figure out if they could have that done as that wasn't on the menu. I thought that was weird because it's a popular dish at every Indian restaurant. The drinks are very limited, no iced tea, only water, hot tea, sodas or lassi. I don't drink wine so I didn't even check if they have a good selection. This place is odd, when I see "dine and wine" I think of a place with service like Olive Garden, this place is more like a fast food restaurant with waiters with no uniform. Hopefully that will improve. My recommendation: remove "dine and wine" from the name and either train the waiters to be excellent or add a fountain drink and a cashier and make it a fast food restaurant. read more

I absolutely love this place! I moved to the area a couple of years ago and missed my favorite Indian place and now I have a new one. They are so nice and the food is amazing. It was quiet when I first got in and they were super attentive, thinking it was extra because they were slow but nope - they filled up more before I left and kept the same level of service with everyone. I cannot score this place past a 1 because the service on the phone was not great and resulted in a wrong item, a very spicy version of the thing we asked for to be mild and our garlic naan was so stale and tough that the whole thing was ruined (I tried to add a video of me attempting to tear it but it will not let me post). We ordered veggie pakoda and they gave us boiled egg (what the heck?? This is a new one...) It's a bummer, we heard good things about this place but the takeout Indian spot by ikea has just as good curry and reliably good naan and is cheaper. Nothing stood out about the food and the 3 problems (plus the poor communication on phone I guess) made this experience a negative one, and a 1 star from us. read more

Service isn't great, if you are using a restaurant.com certificate make sure you have the waiter watch over how you redeem it. I redeemed one while at the counter and showed the certificate number but was refused, ended up redeeming one more certificate with the waiter watching over. First time diner at SNP. Same basic setup at the previous restaurant. Nice, very clean, and seating was comfortable. Moderate noise level so that is ok. They have a one page menu. Wish they had a menu with photos as I'm a visual person. I not fluent in Indian menu items so I had to ask to waiter multiple questions. We ordered garlic nan, chicken korma, and Szechuan noodles. ALL COMMENTS ARE STRICTLY BASED ON MY PERSONAL TASTES. I thought the nan was lite on the garlic and just a bit over cooked and dry. The Szechuan noodles had a good flavor. I really liked the crispy pieces of chicken that were stir fried in it. I was kinda expecting flat glass noodles but they were more like spaghetti noodles. I don't think it altered the flavor which I already said was good. Finally, the Korma. The rice served with it was different than what I'm used to at other Indian restaurants. I was expecting more flavor. The only 2 meat options for the dish were chicken and goat. I prefer lamb but settled for the chicken. There was a large amount of properly cooked chicken in the dish. This was a nice surprise. Many restaurants tend to go heavy on the Korma sauce and lite on the meat. The sauce had a good flavor (not as rich and sweet as I like) but very similar to many other traditional Indian restaurants. They were stop on with the heat level. I ask for hot and got that nice burn. Many places give you 'American hot' which is actually mild. Others give you 'Thai hot' which numbs your mouth and you can't taste the flavor of the food. Tried their 2 course lunch Meal today and never saw a lunch menu giving 12 food option daily to pick 2 or 3 items daily. Also they said Biryani is also an option. I have been here multiple times and have tried both South India and North Indian food options. So far from the food perspective, they have not disappointed and I would rate the taste and authenticity to be around 3.75. The reason I rated this place as 3 star is coz in 2 of my to-go orders they missed an item. When I called and informed them about this, the staff was polite and offered me the missed Item if I could come back and pick it up. I live 20 minutes away from the restaurant which means it will take me almost 40+ minutes to do back and forth. Would recommend patrons to support the restaurant during this harsh COVID time but also be mindful and double check the food while picking it. read more

I highly recommend Salt N Pepper, I've been ordering from here weekly and between authentic food and reasonable prices I've been ordering a meal here once a week. My family is from southern India and they have a traditional dish called Gongra which is how I found them. Everything I've ordered here so far has reminded me of my eating back home with the family.
