Both in the sense that it tastes fairly good, and in the sense that they (apparently) get their chicken free-range. But there is one fairly major drawback to coming here, and it's not the chicken and it's not the walk. It's the wildlife. If you're eating on one of the tables outside, you'll have to spend every five seconds fending off acquisitive seagulls. But inside or outside, you'll also have to put up with the Fox. Well, the Fox FM. They've got a PA system which plays inside and out, and fairly poor taste in radio stations. Oh well, they still do good chicken and chips.

When I pointed out the grubbiness of the place One of the young men who told me he was the owner said it is checked every week by O,H &S He wasn,t at all open to constructive criticism and wanted to argue that there was nothing wrong with the place. I told him I would be reporting him and the unhealthy state of affairs .He couldn,t have cared less. Don,t go !!!!

Once he and his around 48 bags of food had left the store, I ate and quickly. The burger tasted pretty good and healthy and slightly above run of the mill, but the bun was very crumbly and seemed to be of shitty bread. I might come back another time, but I won't rush to do so. Good burgers nevertheless and better than a lot, worth checking out if you want take away.

Needless to say I simply left and have never been back nor heard from them again.

It's got a small fish and a dimmy and some chips for under a fiver! You won't get that anywhere around these parts these days. In fact, all their deals on the back of the takeaway menu are super good. If there's a gripe to be found here is that they (along with almost every chipper in town) still serve flake as 'flake' rather than labelling it as shark for the dummies. It's a small blemish on an otherwise awesome business however. Their burgers are tops too.

The fish batter while not the lightest in the world is freshly applied to the fish, which also seems fresh. If you eat it soon after it has been prepared you will not be disappointed. The older guy on the grill doesn't talk much, but the service from the women in the blue aprons is quick and reliable. I for one am hoping time continues to roll past this one.
