This review is for the experience during last summer. This venue hits different compared to the many music venues I've been to in several states, so there's a lot of appreciation in regard to the beautiful surroundings; history (now Saltair III); and architecture. The moment I stepped outside of the venue and was standing at the second level--I can see the beautiful mountains and salt flats. I'm a big fan of nature and sunsets, so this experience was surreal and eerie. The sounds of the music and being able to see the crowd was amazing. I spent more time outdoors than I did indoors. No issues with ticketing, restrooms and ordering drinks. They were moving pretty fast. I can't comment on parking since we took a party bus to the venue, but the drive-in and drop off wasn't complicated. The building itself has this "moorish" influence exterior, but not all original from what I understood. Still a bit vintage, unique and cool looking. The inside is an open space. I don't recall any seating. Mainly a standup setting with two levels. I look forward to coming back to this venue again this year to experience it different seasons/time. read more

This venue is SO not a repeat. Ever. They split my girls up and left my 14 year old to fend for herself! It was a TWO HOUR line just to drop off! They closed the road that Siri told us to take for no discernible reason, buses were still driving it. It was at least a two mile line on the shoulder of the freeway, not including the off ramp. There was an epic near miss with the line and a semi. (Good job, truck driver!) There was ONE parking lot entrance open, and one person that was "directing" traffic at the main intersection that gave very unclear hand motions - waving the lane to my left into a left turn, but gave my lane no instructions, then snapped at me to 'just go' when I rolled down my window to ask for clarification. To be fair, I interrupted him shouting his story about how stupid people are to some random pedestrians that looked rather uncomfortable. By the time we got through the line, I did the math and realized that all I'd be able to do is drive half way home, then turn around and do the same line again, so I decided to pay ten bucks for parking and wait, but then they "cleared the parking lot" - knocked on my window and told me I couldn't wait in my car, and to go talk to a manager for permission. I get half way to the front doors when my girls both call me at the same time, saying they let the oldest in, but stopped my 14 year old from entering for having "contraband". They would not let my 21 year old walk back out with my 14yo. They split my girls up and left my youngest to fend for herself! We had to drive by Saltair to get to the Great Salt Lake State Park, so after the park, we stopped at Saltair to check it out. Online, there's a lot of history about this and several earlier versions of Saltair. We did pop inside to look around, look in the gift shop and use the restrooms. Bottom line is that we found this facility to be a little used, run down concert venue. It's past history is very rich and worth researching. Wikipedia has a good article on it. read more

Saltair is a music venue on the shores of the Great Salt Lake. Named after a popular resort that was built in partnership with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Los Angeles and Salt Lake Railroad Company. The original resort was built around 1900 but burned down in 1925. Later on a new resort was built at the same location but it to burned down. Years later an old hangar from Wendover Air Field was moved to the site. A fake Moorish facade was added to the hangar and it became what we know today as Saltair. As a music venue Saltair is terrible. Being a converted air craft hangar the building has awful acoustics and their sound system is beyond bad. The security guards and other staff are jerks and will confiscate stupid things like Sharpie markers. Parking is free but their crappy gravel lot is riffed with pot holes, gets congested easily, and is awful to get out of after a crowded show. In summary Saltair is the absolute worst music venue in Utah. Considering how many good venus we have in Salt Lake City I don't think there is ever any reason to go here. read more

Definitely some mixed emotions about this venue! The view and location is out of this world! You feel like it isn't real life and the sunsets and fantastic. For a concert, I think this is the most unique venue next to Red Rocks in Colorado. With parking, they make you park over a mile and a half away (and pay!). Then, they say that they can shuttle you, but one school bus shuttle and 4,000 people do not work well. Luckily, I squished on the bus to get to the venue and ran the mile and a half on the road after the concert with hundreds of others back to the parking lot. Looking back on it, probably an extremely dangerous idea, but the shuttles were stuck and could not move anywhere. Also, the venue is disorganized and not run well. There are no cohesive or consistent lines to enter, especially for big events. And workers are always confused and have to ask superiors for help with assisting people. I kept hearing others' frustrations around me. Overall though, the view and venue are beautiful in location. read more

Middle of nowhere. check. Gravel and dirt pay parking. check. Big venue with average sound. check. One of the few venues that brings EDM artists. check. i don't necessarily love the saltair but I also don't hate it.. It seems like I make it out to this venue several times a year due to the artists that play here. The sound at the venue is pretty good and there's a balcony area for 21 and over that gives you a good view of the stage. Lines are usually not too long unless its an unusually big artist playing here. Best bet is to leave 15 minutes early from the concert to avoid waiting in the parking lot to leave. read more

Pretty dang cool venue! Have seen this place and heard of it a lot but hadn't been until a couple of weeks ago when I was working Merch for an NF concert. The original show was suppose to be at the complex in downtown Salt Lake City, but it sold out so fast, months before the actual show. Because of that they ended up moving it to the Saltair because that venue is so much bigger. Having been there now, I totally get it! Venue was huge and pretty sweet. I think the max capacity was like 2,000 or something. I'm not sure if it sold out over at this venue or no but by the crowd I wouldn't be surprised if I was sold out because it was so packed out. read more

It would be difficult to manage a parking situation worse than these guys do. I had already decided to skip any shows at this venue, but unfortunately, I had tickets for a show at the complex, and shows that are booked at the Complex that get too big end up getting moved to Saltair last minute. My most recent (and hopefully last) experience involved sitting in traffic on the offramp for over an hour. Once off the highway, was detoured to an overflow lot 2 miles from the venue. Don't worry, they still charge you for parking. Then, hundreds of people at a time wait for two rotating school buses that go between the lot and the venue. Hitched a ride with some entrepreneur charging $5 a seat to drive them to the venue. This was one of their outdoor shows, and apparently they do not have an outdoor liquor license. Oh, and how do I know the lot was 2 miles away? Because I walked it on the way back, as did a thousand of my closest friends, walking down a desert frontage road for 40 minutes in the middle of the night. Could've waited for a bus, but strangely, no bus passed us in the 40 minutes it took to walk to the lot. read more

10 minutes West on I-80 from downtown Salt Lake City. Parking area is graveled so there are no parking spaces painted, but they are always well organized by a crew of parking staff. I can only imagine the kind of chaos that would occur if everyone tried to park where ever they felt like. No. Just no. I entered Saltair so mad that there was already no way I was going to enjoy the concert. And then it was lame anyway. I'm going to think long and hard before buying another overpriced, fee-laden ticket to this stupid venue. Do you know where it's located? Approximately three miles past the middle of nowhere. Security guards urged us not to park on the side of the road, saying there was enough parking space for everyone in the parking lot. The lines for the parking lot were crazy, however, and I found out why when I made it to the front of the line. There is a $5 cash parking fee. My friend and I drove separately, and I did not have $5 in cash. "No problem," said the attendant, "Just give me your driver's license and we'll give it back to you inside when you've gotten money out of the ATM." ?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!??! Yes, unknown man, let me give you my main form of identification. Steal my identity! Sell it on the black market! I'll be in line, waiting to pay a $10 ATM fee so I can get your $5. I mean, I went for it. I'd already paid $40 for the ticket and $12 to Smithstix for selling it to me. What else was I supposed to do? Like I said, the concert was lame. We were so far away, I can't even confirm that it actually was Of Monsters and Men up there. There was no movement in the crowd, making it impossible to advance towards the stage. The most memorable thing about the whole night were the seizure-inducing strobe lights whose patterns changed for EVERY song. No thanks, OMAM. My friend had $5 in his car, which was lucky, as the ATM line was about 100 people deep throughout the entire show. However, Saltair has a strict "no re-entry policy, so I had a heck of a time convincing the security guards to allow me back in to get my ID at the end of the concert. Once I managed that, I started looking for the customer service counter where my drivers license was being securely stored until I could pay ransom. It didn't exist. Instead, I was directed to a rough looking man who pulled my ID out of a thick stack he kept in his back pocket. In conclusion, this venue was not worth the drive. It was not worth the inflated ticket price. It wasn't worth the unexpected parking fees. It wasn't worth the anxiety. It wasn't worth putting up with such terrible customer service. TLDR; This place miserably failed my expectations. If you come here expecting to watch a show and have a few drinks, expect to get second class treatment. As a music venue, this place was a rather butt cheeks experience for me. I was initially lured here by beautiful photos of the exterior showing this marvelous palace sitting on the Salt Lake. Accompanied to that were lavish photos of the inside which made the interior look like an exquisite hall. It all seemed like the perfect venue to see a live act. Before even arriving, we were greeted by a mile long traffic line leading up to the Saltair's exit off the interstate. I normally wouldn't attribute this to the fault of the venue but we later learned there was absolutely no one directing traffic and everything was just a free-for-all. People were just parking everywhere, blocking others in, parking on roads, blocking roads. We heard the bus to overflow parking got blocked in and couldn't make it. It was a complete shitshow. The annoyances then continued inside the venue. Since the weather was nice, this particular show (Fun) was moved to the outdoor stage. The stage grounds were rather large and the stage setup/sound was adequate enough. The real pisser though was that alcohol sales were only permitted on the second story of the indoor portion of the venue. Even worse, you were not allowed to leave the booze prison with an alcoholic drink. That wouldn't have been that bad but from the second story of the venue you couldn't see the main stage. Even if you could manage a spot at the rail the vantage point was awful. This place really needs to get their act together. The location and setting are very cool and it really has great potential. As it stands now though it's just a terrible place for a show. read more

What a mess this place is! I came here to see Franz Ferdinand. It's standing room only on a brick floor, which is incredibly uncomfortable and hard to stand after more than an hour. It's in the middle of nowhere, and apparently after trekking out so far they charge you for parking...are you kidding me?! The entire place smells like brine shrimp and sewage....yuck. The acoustics are awful-loud but not good, and they'll just hurt your ears. This place is a relic. It was once a pier side amusement park, but that burned down and this is what we're left with-a stinky, grimy, lousy "concert venue" I'm never going back again-I really don't think it's worth the trip out, even for your favorite band. read more

From the land of Denver, concert reviews are always gonna be harsh for other places, as Denver's small venues have everything down. Parking, lines, bathrooms, everything. This place does not. The turn off to the Saltair before the concert was a nightmare. Long line of cars for over a mile. Parking was ok, but upon leaving, it was like the great stampede the minute the concert was over. And people were crazy trying to get out. The venue itself was meh. The acoustics were horrible; you could barely hear the singer, let alone hear the words. The views from up above weren't great. I don't know if was the stage angle or what, but couldn't see much. If anyone else opens up one other small concert venue that is halfway decent, this place is gonna be a goner. Hands down, the worst concert venue I've ever been to. I recommend NO ONE see a show here, and that no band even consider playing at this venue. First, it's terribly organized and the staff is disrespectful. We parked far away, and right as we were walking in a parking guy suggested that we go get our car because there were still parking spots because he didn't want us to get ticketed or towed. First of all, there NO SIGNS that say you cannot park somewhere. Although, we respected his suggested and got our car. We were pulling into the parking lot and a young guy stopped us and said "Five dollars man." Again, NO SIGNS saying there is a fee to pay. Luckily we were able to find some pocket change in the car or else we would have to spend an additional 30 minutes trying to repark and walk after the shit show of a line we waited in simply to get off the freeway. Inside, the line to get into the 21+ section was slow. Waited probably 20 minutes just to get up there. If an ID is expired, tell the girl she can't come in. Don't sit there and flirt and laugh about while the rest of us wait. The lines for beer, awful. SO SLOW and SO DISORGANIZED. Don't even get me started on the concert. If the weather is bad, then move the concert inside. I understand there is a limit on how many can fit inside, but seriously, put a limit on tickets sold so you can have it inside. We listened to FOUR songs before Saltair decided to cancel the show. We all deserve a refund. This was terrible. I paid up the ass to come to this concert, I want my money back. Getting out of the parking lot was a joke. They are so organized to make sure everyone gets in to pay their $5 but it's a zoo trying to get out. How about you use some of that staff to get everyone out in a timely, organized, SAFE manner? Thank you Saltair for wasting my money, my time, and my faith in this venue. Salt Lake in general is not a great place to stop - the "Lake Stink" (from Wikipedia) is really intense, there were loads of dead birds everywhere, and the breeze blew bugs all over you. It also happened to be about 90 degrees the day we were there, which I believe must have exasperated the situation. I went here a while back for a Rise Against concert. It was more than large enough to accommodate all the patrons. It's in the middle of nowhere, which is strange, and getting in/out of the parking lot was a huge pain. Overall, I think the venue was big enough, the sound was great, and I had a great time. I've seen a lot reviews on here saying how standing on a hard floor is uncomfortable. If you're going to rock concerts for comfort, you're doing it wrong. Try the symphony. read more

The first thing you have to keep in mind with Saltair as a music venue is that it's a SMALL music venue. This means that the parking situation is going to vary wildly based on the cache of the act(s) playing any given night -- cheaper and easier for smaller acts, pricier and more convoluted for larger ones. It also means that the acoustics may not be what they could be, though many acts bring their own audio gear, so I wouldn't rush to blame the venue regardless. Sure, it's not dissimilar to a barn... but I've been to some pretty wicked parties that were held in barns. And I don't know about you, but I have yet to experience a music venue where each and every staff member is a peach. Like anywhere else, you've got the good, the bad, and folks in between working the Saltair. Don't let the bad ones get under your skin and ruin an otherwise perfectly good time. In fact, I wouldn't say there was any member of the staff that rubbed me the wrong way... but I was there to see a show, not perform character analyses. The main floor consists of landscape-grade pavers arranged in concentric circles from the middle, and was very solid -- though I don't recall seeing any beverages down there to be spilled and cause a slip hazard anyway. My fiancé and I went and saw Volbeat, with Iced Earth and Hellyeah (who canceled, leaving Iced Earth to do a double set), which was a smaller show, so they had these huge soft dividers hanging so as to bisect the floor, leaving the rear half eerily empty. I've seen worse space management, though, so I didn't think much of this tactic one way or the other. The upstairs (the bar/21+ area) is a little dive-y, but I can appreciate a good dive bar. Sure, they have an assortment of complicated concoctions, but you'd be better off ordering a shot of whisky and a can of beer and saving the bartender the trouble and yourself the time. Did I mention you should think if it as a small music venue? This also means that the drinks are going to be pricey -- $20 for two shots of Jack and two cans of Bohemian Pilsner (or Lager... I don't quite recall, now). It will probably be an expensive night... but worth it if you're there to see an act you love. The carpets are a little sticky but just think of it as part of that dive-y character. Long story, short: we went to a smaller show; got easy parking for cheap; had no hassles getting into the place; went upstairs and willingly overpaid for drinks for a good part of the night; and finished out the headline set on the main floor, from where we had easy access to the exits and therefore little problems getting out of the parking lot. It's a little out-there, but (despite the fact that it's in its third or fourth incarnation, imo) it's a cool little pseudo-historical gem, and if you don't artificially inflate your expectations, you might just have a good time seeing a show at Saltair. read more

DISCLAIMER: This was advertised as a welcome center and rest stop, which is what I used it for. This was mid-morning on a weekday and they were loading out a show from the night before. I'm sure this is a nice concert venue, really! You probably don't want to come here during the day. The place's awnings were covered in birds' nests, which is completely unnerving, especially since they look like bees' nests from far away. The restrooms were all right, albeit a bit creepy. You have a great view of some sort of plant/factory across the street and then the majestic view of the Great Salt Lake and Antelope Island. Speaking of the lake, where the hell was it? I guess I'm used to seeing a beach and being able to see the edge of the water, but I spent five minutes walking towards an ever-changing mirage before I gave up. Is there better access to the lake somewhere? Seriously! The combo of the factory and the lake (no, really, where was it?) made it smell no bueno so we left. If you're looking for a restroom, it's all right. If you're looking for the lake, good luck. If you're here to watch a concert, the venue did seem pretty decent. If you're local, I'd imagine this is an excellent spot to see a show. There's ample parking. If you're a tourist, maybe skip this and drive onto Antelope island. read more

Not a fan. I hate the feel of this place. It is small and crowded and the music just doesn't sound good in this venue. Point blank period. If the music at least sounded good then I could forgive it for being overall just shitty. The bathrooms had about a quarter inch of water on the ground...tampons and shit and vomit everywhere...it was really gross! I threw away the shoes I was wearing after I got home. It smells really bad. Not just from sweaty people but from the stank coming off the great salt lake. It does not help that there is almost no ventilation. It gets HOT. There is a full bar, which I always appreciate. Honestly though it was hard to get through the night here even though I wanted to dance to the music. The history of the Saltair is interesting and people hype it up so much that I was excited to come here. I hated it though...so disappointing. I won't go there again. read more

When one of my all-time favorite bands announced that they would playing Salt Lake at Saltair I purchased tickets online but with trepidation. I had been out there a couple of times previously and knew how bad the sound was. I had already skipped a show earlier this year because of my past experiences there. I was ready to give them another chance though. The evening starts with the 17 mile drive out from Salt Lake City to the middle of nowhere. We get to wait in a long line of cars that continues back from the off-ramp about a half mile on the shoulder of the freeway. It seemed a little bit sketchy to have a long line of cars pulling over since the speed limit out there is 75. The semi-trucks flying by your driver's side door get a little unnerving. We could see the parking lot but wondered why it was taking so long to get up there. We finally do make it the entrance and two middle aged guys who seemed to feel like real authority figures are taking money to get in to park. Being as this is 2014 and I do have a credit card, I rarely carry cash. 5 bucks is no big deal to me and I gladly pay that when I'm downtown but this is a gravel lot full of mud puddles in the middle of nowhere. I told them that I didn't have cash and there was no notice on Smithtix or on the tickets that parking out there was not included, in fact, there is a $2 venue fee in the ticket price. They told us there was a sign when we pulled in. Really? After driving 17 miles? After explaining to them the flaw in that bit of logic and them questioning how, after living in Salt Lake, that we could have no knowledge that parking was not free at Saltair, one of them mocked my girlfriend in a teen girl voice. The other "parking lot attendant" told me I could leave my ID and there was an ATM I could use inside. Bring back the money and I get my ID back. These two "astute gentleman" did not give me the comfort level I felt was necessary to leave my drivers license with them. Luckily one of my friends had cash and we got in. That was appreciated more later, after seeing the line for the single cash machine inside servicing the 2000 or so attendees. Inside, we headed upstairs to get drinks and find a spot to see the show from. Sadly you can only see the stage from the railing surrounding the mezzanine. And it is obvious that they sell more tickets than there is room to stand around the railing. So when the music started everyone was piling downstairs to be able to see the stage. We ended up at the very back of the room and could see alright over the crowd. But it is too far away to make out faces. The sound was as bad as I remember it. It always amazes me that a music venue doesn't care about how the music sounds. There is not a single acoustical panel in the building. Everything is hard concrete and wood surfaces that obviously reflect and create echos muffling almost any vocals from being intelligible. I am just glad that I was familiar with the music and so knew what the garbled sound getting to my ears was. The show ended at 11pm and we went out to the patio to wait for the majority of the crowds to vacate the parking lot. Less than 10 minutes later, the bouncers came out literally yelling at everyone to clear off the patio so they could clean it and go home. It was really the cherry on the cake for how this venue treats its customers. I left vowing that I will never go back there. I truly hope this place shuts down or burns down again, so that bands will use some of the other better venues downtown. read more

I write concert reviews for a living, so I attend many concerts all over the country. I am not overly picky and I am always in it for the band. This is how I ended up at Saltair to begin with. I attended the first night of the Panic at the Disco tour with my adult son, his girlfriend and my tween daughter. It is the girlfriend's all time favorite band. We paid for the VIP option and working with Tiffany at the Saltair was great! Thank goodness we did this because if we had not, we would have left before it started, it was that bad. (and had it not been the girlfriend's favorite band, I never would have made it to the end, even in VIP) Saltair is in the middle of nowhere, but a very easy drive from the city. We had no traffic on a Friday night and parking was simple in their gravel lot. Very organized staff and a reasonable $5 fee. We left at 5:30 for 6:30 doors from a downtown hotel, arrived by 6:00 and got a close in spot. Picked up our will call tickets with a short line in less than ten minutes. After some confusion over where to meet Tiffany, we met up with some other "VIP seat guests" and Tiffany for wrist bands and to get our early admission. Our spots were in booths on the second floor and had decent views, although somewhat obstructed by the speakers. Each VIP booth has a max of 15 people, ours had 10 or 11, making our experience not crowded, well worth the added $40 per person. No booze is allowed in the VIP area but unopened water bottles may be purchased and brought in. Food may also be purchased and brought in. There is a bar upstairs where guests over 21 may go to drink, but must remain in the bar area. Now why the one star rating? This is the WORST venue I have ever attended by far. It is summer in Utah and we expect it to be hot. But this place was horrible. Zero air flow. The main floor was jam packed and people were going down at an alarming rate. From above we just watched as one person after another was removed from the main floor. Security was good and they did what they could to spray the crowd with water bottles, pour water into the mouths of those they could reach and haul the few in the first rows out when they needed to escape. But this place is huge and the poor folks in the middle were just trapped. Fans overhead mounted to the beams would go a long way at this place. A/C would be amazing. It was bad when the the first band came on stage, terrible when the second band came on, almost unbearable by the time the headliner showed up. We had to go down to the floor to cross the room to get to the bar and every time we did we were shocked at how miserable those kids were. I am not exaggerating when I say the smell inside the venue was horrible. Lastly, the sound is crap. There are so many better places to see your favorite bands, don't waste your money (or your health!) here. read more

This venue is very poorly run and under funded. Most concessions are cash only, or you have to hit a $20 minimum for credit cards. There's only one ATM and you have to wait at least 30 minutes in line for that. The parking staff and police have to yell at people to not park in areas where there are no signs. Seems like a simple solution- take some of that ticket service fee, buy some parking signs, add credit card options or at least install another ATM! read more

This place stinks. Not the venue, it's from the stench coming off the Great Salt Lake. I've never been to a concert here, I stop here for one reason only. It's got easy access to the lake itself, and showers to wash the salt off your feet when you're ready to go. If you're not in a super big hurry to get to Winnemucca or back to SLC take a few minutes and stop here. You'll like it. And as for the stench you'll quickly forget about it once you get close to the water's edge. read more

I created an account on Yelp just so I could leave my feedback about my recent experience here. While the venue itself is not awful (sound quality is so-so), the staff and people managing the venue are some of the most unorganized and rude people I have ever had the pleasure of encountering. Trying to get up to the 21+ area upstairs has to be easily one of the most frustrating experiences I have ever dealt with while at a concert. They make you stand in a line that goes right through the center of the crowd and only have 2 people checking ID's at the bottom of the stairs. It isn't roped off or anything which allows people to cut in front of others. It took myself and others about 45 minutes to an hour just to get ID'd. Based on other reviews of this place, other's have had about the same experience. Also, be prepared to wait when getting off the exit while making your way to the venue and expect to pay for parking. If you are someone who likes to get to shows right when they start I suggest leaving earlier than you normally would so that you can beat the crowd and secure a better parking spot. I would avoid this place at all costs if you can. I certainly won't be back. read more

Being so close to the lake is picturesque, but no one tells you about the sewage smell that is predominant from Spring to late Fall. Sound decent, but the venue specifies 'no chairs' for the amphitheater. This is common if the venue will rent low-profile chairs, but this place doesn't bother to rent them, so bring a blanket. I had to ask four different clueless attendants where handicap parking was in the untraveled, rutted pit of a parking lot. It was parallel parking that fit 4-6 vehicles...I'm convinced its not ADA compliant in the least. The venue is CASH ONLY for concessions. So, they're prepared with multiple ATMs, right? No. There is ONE machine, and the line for it is about 40 people deep at all times. This is by far the worst excuse for a 'concert venue' it's ever been my misfortune to attend. read more

My first and LAST concert at this venue was a disaster. The parking was a god awful nightmare! But since that is the only option what do you do? My problem with the parking has nothing to do with the gravel or $5 charge, but the lack of organization .The planning for the entire event was very poor. They started an outdoor show that was doomed based on a day of weather alerts. But they are cleaver making sure the head liner was on stage just long enough that they are not obligated to refund money. read more

Saltair is a great venue for our races! 5K-15K. It's a cool warehouse!

I would advise everyone to think twice before attending a show at Saltair. Spread the word. This is the most unproffesional, disorganized venue I have ever attended and I have been in touring bands. Each show only gets worse. After the Saltair shut down the Lumineers show on 9/18 (check out their Facebook page for more info) I witnessed a security guard bullying an old lady that was obviously in distress trying to make her way to the bathroom. She was forced to use the bathroom in the parking lot. Great job ... horrible operator, horrible venue. Stay far, far away. read more

I just recently went here and the show was outdoors, which I didn't know that they did. I have always been to shows indoors. They stopped the second band in the middle of their song because they said it was too windy and they needed to move some stuff around. They couldn't move it indoors because they sold too many tickets to fit everyone inside. They said it would take 20 minutes and it was almost an hour later that the headliner started playing on the balcony outside. They played a few songs and then were stopped and we were told they were ending the show because of the wind. It then took 45 minutes to get out of the parking lot because they don't know how to properly direct traffic. I will never go to a show here again. read more

Not the best place for a concert. The bar is the upstairs balcony and people get drunk and throw stuff at the people below trying to enjoy the music. The sound was so loud we couldn't hear what was being played. It was just painful and I enjoy a loud concert. Parking was okay and the location is nice if the lake stink isn't blowing in that direction. I don't hate it but I don't like it. read more

I came here for a Panic! At The Disco concert back in july and the staff was actually very nice and helpful. My phone was dying, and my phone is also my camera so i wanted an outlet to charge it. I asked a man who seemed to be the manager, (because he was running around and assigning jobs to people haha) where i could find an outlet. He showed me one but it didn't work so he had me try another one in this little power room and he just said, keep the door closed and an eye on it. I thought it was so nice! Most people would have just told you to suck it up, it's not their fault you arrived at 5 in the morning haha. Anyways, later in the day my friend needed to use the bathroom very badly (they were closed at the time because people were going inside just to get a peek at the band) and so she talked to the same man that helped us with the outlet, and he let her in real quick through a side door. He did the same a few hours later for me and a few other people. My friend and I were front row on the floor, so we were pretty uncomfortable due to people behind us shoving us into the bar, but the security came and sprayed water on everyone, and squirted water into peoples' mouths. They were very nice and helpful and they pretty much gave out 30 cases of water for free. As for the actual venue, it wasn't the best. i understand general admission crowds get crazy, especially at Panic! concerts (this was my fourth one) but it was SO uncomfortably hot in there. all I saw for "air conditioning" were two swamp coolers in the two top corners on the ceiling. People on the floor were passing out and getting pulled out left and right. We toughed out because we drove from AZ to be at the show. Everyone comments on the sound quality but honestly, when I'm seeing my favorite band of all time live, 3 feet in front of my face, i don't give shit. So yes this venue is HOT AND SWEATY. so try to get barricade! or maybe the VIP balcony. I don't have any input on the parking because fortunately we were dropped off and picked up. So the stars on my rating are mainly focused on the staff. It's just hard to have complaints when you're focused on your favorite band and you just met them 20 minutes before the show! Getting in line at 5am has its perks. read more

Went to Shawn Mendez for my daughters birthday. We were vip and supposed to have early access to merchandise and the venue. The staff was very unorganized. Ushered us in and out just to go back in again. Stupid. Standing room only. No early access to Merch. Was getting crushed at the front and couldn't stand it any longer so we went up on the balcony. It was still so crowded we couldn't see the stage. They way over sold the venue. No ac. No fans. Hot as hell. What a crappy bday present for my daughter. We will never come here for a concert again. It was an absolute joke. Venue is old and dilapidated. I would NOT recommend to anyone. read more
