Peggy M, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Chef Klaus came to our house for the third time in six weeks to cook MY Birthday Dinner. As usual he was here with plenty of time to spare. He brought his lovely wife Nancy with him, because I insisted. It took some persuasion, but he finally agreed. While he cooked our customary weekday dinner, Chicken Breast Marsala, (we just love it) I showed Nancy our house and toy's. Klaus proceeded to get ready for Dinner Service. He made Tomato Roses as garnish for the Creamy Cucumber Salad, finished the Sweet 'n Sour Red Cabbage, cleaned and blanched the fresh whole Green Beans, made the Potato Pancake mix, sliced the Sauerbraten and put it into an incredible rich, brown sauce to slowly heat it up. He did the same to the Beef Rouladen so everything got hot at the same time. By 3:45 pm he crisped the Sour Dough Rolls, pulled the chilled salad plates from the fridge, lined them with crisp Butter Lettuce and spooned the Cucumber Salad on it and placed a Tomato Rose in front of the salad. Lovely. He pulled the Hard Rolls and placed them in a Napkin lined bowl, placed them together wit Butter Rosettes he made and the Cucumber Salad o the Dinner Table. While we ate he cooked the Potato Pancakes, heated the Spaetzle in butter and sauteed Bacon and Onions together with the Green Beans. He removed the empty salad plates along with the salad forks and proceeded to plate the dinner. He opened a bottle of Red Zinfandel and let it breath while he served the dinner (me first). Joe, my husband tasted the wine and Chef Klaus poured it foe all of us. (again me first) What a dinner it was. Our friends were quite impressed so were we even so we had excellent dinners from Chef Klaus before. After he cleared the table, he brought out My Birthday Cake, a traditional Black Forest Cake, made with a Cookie Crust and Tart Cherries, not Cherry Pie filling. The flavor was wonderful. We sang "Happy Birthday" and he cut and served the cake. While we finished, he rinsed all the dishes and put them into the dishwasher, handwashed and dryed the special Silverware, cleaned and wiped down the stove, counters and sink. Too bad we are moving to Delaware next week. We hope we will see Chef Klaus again. It turned into a Friendship. He is a true professional and a great Chef. Peggy M, Lake Havasu, Arizona Chef Klaus came to cook Dinner for us and our friends Anniversary. He was here in plenty of time and after some small talk, (he told me that he has a surprise meal course, but wouldn't tell me what) he cooked our favorite "Go To" weekday meal, Chicken Breast Marsala. He proceeded to get ready for dinner, had the potatoes in the oven, Asparagus trimmed to be blanched and he was ready to plate the Bibb Lettuce. I chilled salad plates before he got here (I knew he likes chilled salad plates) and he plated, dressed and garnished the Lettuce with fresh raspberries. He served it, along with fresh baked Hard Rolls and Butter Rosettes, to our guest, Joe and me. After he cleared the plates and forks, he surprised us with an Intermezzo - "to clear the palate" he said. It was Zucchini Ice with. Everybody enjoyed it. The Steaks were excellent, juicy, tender and cooked perfectly to everybody's liking. The Salmon, with the Almond-Pesto topping, was a hit with our guest, so was the crisp, green Asparagus. After he cleared the table, he finished off an amazing Crème Brule' with a hint of Espresso and fresh Raspberries. Perfect Finish to a Perfect Dinner. Chef Klaus did a wonderful job. He washed all the dishes, wiped everything down and left the place clean. We are looking forward to our next function on the 13 of March (My Birthday) with a complete German Menu. Life changing service! We are working parents with 3 kids. I always struggle to make meals that are tasty, but also there is always time constraints so we were often ordering out or making hot dogs and chicken nuggets (ick). We now get weekly service with salted chef, which has given me my time back, made life less chaotic, and has made food so much more enjoyable! We have left overs for about 3 days giving us lunch AND dinner. Our chef, Andre, is incredibly kind and talented. He whips up dishes from the menu (whether I have the right ingredients or not- sometimes I buy the wrong stuff, or don't have the right amount of something) and it comes out perfectly cooked every time. I was pleasantly surprised with this service! I contacted Salted Chef about cooking a private dinner for me and my friends as a part of a joint bachelor-bachelorette weekend in the Poconos (PA). Ryan was very responsive and able to accommodate my group even on short notice. We were able to customize a four course meal including considerations such as vegetarian/gluten free options. I am very pleased with my service from The Salted Chef. Chef James arrived at the time that we had prearranged. He went through a quick introduction and review of my kitchen and then got right to work. He wore his mask and gloves the whole time and cleaned up everything before he left. I have used Salted Chef for the last year or so and the service is very convenient and easy to use, especially if you have a busy lifestyle and want to eat healthy. After finding out who your chef is, I would suggest communicating with them personally so that they are able to tailor your meals to your liking. And to save money, you can ask for an ingredient list before your chef goes shopping, so that you can tell them what items you already have. One word.... FANTASTIC!! I hired Salted Chef to cook meals for my parents who have some difficulties being able to cook all meals on their own. This is the first time I have used a personal chef. More specifically we used Salted Chef to help us with an elimination diet. I have suffered from some inflammation / allergens for a while and my doctor said we needed to start an elimination diet to pinpoint the cause of the issue. Ryan with Salted was very helpful. The meals had to be very basic to begin with and then we slowly added back ingredients. Over a few weeks we found that dairy was the main driver of the issue! I have used this service three times now and it is excellent. Hello Fresh and Plated still require me to cook! With this set up a chef comes into your home with the groceries already purchased, cooks the food, packages it individually so that it is ready to dethaw for future meals, and cleans up afterwards! If you hate the time it takes to go to the grocery store, prep the food, cook it and then clean up after it, then this service is for you! I am impressed with Salted Chef. I have medical issues and needed a specific diet plan. I wrote and spoke with Ryan with Salted Chef. We worked out a plan. The Chef came to meet us. He was on time and thorough! His name is Chef Colin. We had our first 4 entrees prepared along with dessert and an extra side salad. It is delicious! We booked a week of evening meals with Salted Chef for our family vacation in Santa Clara, UT. Ryan was extremely helpful and informative as we made plans for our large group of 9 vegans and 9 regular meals. Our chef was Shelley and she was absolutely AMAZING!! Our family decided to adopt the Paleo lifestyle. The problem with a different way of eating is that my standard recipes that my family had become used to didn't really fit the Paleo mold. We got Salted Chef to prep our weekly meals that fit what we're trying to do. We've discovered quite a bit about Paleo (both what we like and don't like). I picked my 2 meals from their great selection that was offered on their web page. Chef Martinez did the shopping and then came to my home to cook up 2 incredible meals. I used Salted chef to cater a party of 6 adults and 6 children. The food was very well prepared. We started with a Waldorf Salad then for the main dish we had Lobster Colorado and a Chocolate Lava Cake for dessert. The food was very well prepared and the chef was also very entertaining. The whole event took about 3 hours and were were very pleased with the service. This was an awesome idea!! We had this for a bachelorette party with 14 girls at our Air BNB in Austin, TX. The booking process with Salted Chef was simple and easy and the first menu that they drew up for us was perfect. Our chef was Heidi Parks and she was AMAZING. She was so sweet, friendly and a great cook. The cost was similar to going out to dinner with drinks, meals, and Ubers so it worked out perfectly.
