The server was very inattentive/cold, and would not even make eye contact with my partner. Sometimes came to the table without saying a word and then hurrying off. It had me wondering whether she was homophobic. For the price I would say Saltwater Grill is not worth it. ‼Friends, be aware‼ On June 6, my husband and I had dinner at Saltwater Grill in Panama City Beach, Florida. My husband ordered the Tuna Tataki (sushi-grade yellowfin tuna). During dinner, he commented that it tasted "hot" and assumed there must be wasabi in the sauce. He finished his meal. Within an hour of leaving the restaurant, he developed a severe headache. I also noticed that his face, neck, ears, and arms had become bright red. He became dizzy, and his heart was racing. His symptoms became severe enough that we spent the next five hours in the emergency room. The ER physician diagnosed him with scombroid fish poisoning (histamine toxicity), which occurs when fish is not properly refrigerated. Bacteria produce excessive levels of histamine in the fish, and those histamines are not destroyed by cooking. The following day, I called Saltwater Grill and left a detailed message with the hostess explaining what had happened. I was assured that the manager would return my call. After receiving no response, I left another voicemail and also sent an email to the restaurant. To date, I have not received a phone call, email, or even a simple apology. What disappoints us most is not only the experience itself but the complete lack of concern afterward. At a minimum, we expected the restaurant would want to be informed of a confirmed case of scombroid poisoning so they could investigate and ensure proper food handling procedures were being followed to help prevent this from happening to another guest. Unfortunately, their silence has left us with the impression that once customers have paid and left the restaurant, their well-being is no longer a priority. Really beautiful interior with the aquarium and romantic lighting/decor. Our server, Chris, was very hospitable and friendly. My sister really loved her shrimp and grits and said it's the best she's tried so far. Nigiri was good, although I wasn't a big fan of the rice, not sure why (maybe too much sesame oil/rice vinegar?). The complimentary bread and oil was SO GOOD!!! The desserts are HUGE! Hands down my favorite place to eat! What won me over were their sautéed blue crab legs in garlic and butter--absolutely delicious. Every night of our Panama City Beach vacation we tried different fine dining restaurants, but this was the only one that offered the crab legs. It brought back so much nostalgia for me, since I've had them before in Fort Lauderdale but usually only the Jonah crab claws. When we asked for them to be cooked more to feed a toddler they came back the same opened (contaminated grill?) ones burnt. The shrimp cocktail was very large but slimy/chewy? My husband and I have eaten here on several trips to PCB. When my daughter wanted to come here for her 30th birthday, she said she wanted to eat at Saltwater Grill, because we talked so highly about the food, ambience and service. We'll, on her birthday, this is where we went to eat. We started with the meatball & Lobster spring rolls. They were both tasty!!! When it was time to order, I was extremely disappointed to find out that they no longer served Salmon, so I had to pivot to a different dish. I chose the Grouper Imperial. This dish was terrible!!!!!!!!! The fish was pale (barely grilled); however the mashed potatoes & asparagus, although very skinny, were edible. That's all I ate from my dish, so they only charged me for the 2 sides. The charge was $16.00, for 2 sides!!! The birthday girl ordered the same thing and ended up switching to the Cobia fish. She said the fish was good; however, they prepared it on top of a red sauce and soggy broccolini! She and her friend, who ordred the Cobia as well, thought a light lemon-butter, caper sauce would have made the dish more palatable. The manager came by and all she could say was, "That's interesting". She defended the way they prepared the flounder at first, but reiterated to her that the fish wasn't good at all. This was not the experience we wanted for our daughter, or anyone for that matter, especially on her special day since she was so stoked about eating there!!! My oldest daughter ordered steak. Prices are high for the quality and quantity of food you get. I had the seafood pasta ( normal sized portion with about 5 shrimp and about 4 regular sized scallops ) and it was over $30 for it alone. For 2 people ordering 2 teas, 2 entrees with 1 salad, 1 appetizer bill was $150- food was not up to the quality/quantity of that price. I do expect to pay a little more for seafood but their food was not worth that price. We will not be back. We will head on down the road to another seafood place ( like Dat Cajan Place or the Captain's Table for example) with better food and cheaper prices. read more

From the minute we arrived the host was kind and sat us promptly and then came Chris our AMAZING server who gave me such attention and kindness to make sure I would not have anything that could make me sick. Checked for some dishes to celebrate my sister's birthday. Lobster spring roll crispy, fresh and hot. Comes with a chili sauce to not miss out. Seafood Tagliatelle and Risotto with Scallops were our options since we needes to try as we thought fresh seafood. Even though the sauce for the pastas were cream/white sauce they were still different flavor. Really good. Took my darling wife to the Saltwater Grill tonight for the first time this evening. We moved to PC Beach a few years ago and drove by this place many times. They just started taking reservations recently. Looking at prior reviews, we had not seen any posts about their sushi. Come to find out they just started serving a few months ago and brought in a sushi chef who created a small menu of options. I have to say I was very impressed and will definitely go back and order again. We shared an appetizer and main (Lobster spring rolls and Lobster Mac and cheese) both were ok. I am not a key lime pie lover hit this was definitely very tasty.
