Our first time in PCB, we tried this place. The food was all very good. The brussel sprouts and complementary bread were a couple highlights as far as appetizers, but the meals were just as good. I tried a few bites of a few different things, like the lobster mac and cheese, king crab, filet mingon, and blackened snapper. Nothing disappointed whatsoever. For the price, maybe not so worth it. The price is well worth the food in my opinion/ okay another big thing-- I wanted a side salad as one of my sides, I saw a table next to us get them so I asked the waiter (way before we ordered) if my entrée came with a side salad. He seemed like he didn't want to tell me, but then he said all the entrees come with a complementary salad. My friend and I were so excited because we were talking about all week wanting to go to a restaurant that had a good side salad! What the waiter did not mention is that they were all served with a vinaigrette on it. They don't tell you about the salads when taking your order or ask you about a preferred dressing. It's just a surprise. I found that to be pretty disappointing and annoying considering we asked about ordering a side salad. He told us that we got one and didn't mention the dressing. Salads are a spring mix lettuce and every single person had 3 cherry tomato halves lol/ a few people asked for ranch dressing and he brought some. The ranch dressing was very good and we all poured it over the salad. Most people don't like vinaigrette though so I think it's silly that they don't ask or tell you or just bring it plain with dressings on the side. I guess because it's complementary they don't care. The bread-- SO GOOD! Huge, fluffy but also some crunch. It's warm, served with oil. It was so good. Took an hour and a half to bring it to the table since they want you to order appetizers first. Drinks were good and strong. I got 1 blueberry martini, very yummy. The raspberry one was good too, everyone liked their drinks. We told them when we sat we were celebrating an engagement & they brought a piece of cheesecake once 4 people had already left and right as we were getting ready to leave. This may be random but the star of the show was the fresh bread they make with the oil on the side. Don't get me wrong everything else was absolutely delicious too but us girls went crazy over the bread. The caesar salad was big so me and my best friend shared it. The sushi was really good. The four of us got a roll of sushi each and shared amongst each other. All the rolls were very good. The service was great. They brought a free dessert for one of our best friend's to celebrate her birthday. Found this restaurant through Yelp, and OMG! The food was delicious, the service outstanding, portions were huge, you definitely get what you pay for. When we first walked in, we were asked if we had a reservation, which we did not, but we went in for an early dinner (around 4:00pm). If you are going later, I highly recommend a reservation because it got packed quickly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The outside didn't look as formal, but inside was beautiful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were very underdressed, but we were still served, but I am not sure if there is a dress code and we just slipped by because it was early. So disappointing, has great reviews so I was very excited. Steak was the driest thing I've ever had, asked for medium rare got well done.. for $70ish heck no. Prime rib dumplings are pretty gross, sauce and dumplings itself are good but it's just a mouthful of chewy meat lacking flavor. Side salad was gross. Sushi was alright but just a mouthful of cream cheese lacking the amount of tuna and salmon for the price. Some of the sauces and stuff on top are just super overpowering. Service was alright nothing like I normally expect at a restaurant that nice. Probably should've gotten some more seafood type stuff, but I would think with like 5 steaks on the menu and lots of 5 stars that everything on the menu would be good. Never again! read more

Hands down my favorite place to eat! What won me over were their sautéed blue crab legs in garlic and butter--absolutely delicious. Every night of our Panama City Beach vacation we tried different fine dining restaurants, but this was the only one that offered the crab legs. It brought back so much nostalgia for me, since I've had them before in Fort Lauderdale but usually only the Jonah crab claws. Our waitress, Lucy, was very nice, and the manager, Fred, went above and beyond. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and gave us great advice on the menu. She asked us if wanted bread the END of our meal. She only refilled our water once at the end of our meal as well. We had to ask for silverware when we got our entrees. She came back after we asked her to check if it was gluten free and she told us it actually contained gluten. The server was very inattentive/cold, and would not even make eye contact with my partner. Sometimes came to the table without saying a word and then hurrying off. ‼Friends, be aware‼ On June 6, my husband and I had dinner at Saltwater Grill in Panama City Beach, Florida. My husband ordered the Tuna Tataki (sushi-grade yellowfin tuna). During dinner, he commented that it tasted "hot" and assumed there must be wasabi in the sauce. He finished his meal. Within an hour of leaving the restaurant, he developed a severe headache. I also noticed that his face, neck, ears, and arms had become bright red. He became dizzy, and his heart was racing. His symptoms became severe enough that we spent the next five hours in the emergency room. The ER physician diagnosed him with scombroid fish poisoning (histamine toxicity), which occurs when fish is not properly refrigerated. Bacteria produce excessive levels of histamine in the fish, and those histamines are not destroyed by cooking. The following day, I called Saltwater Grill and left a detailed message with the hostess explaining what had happened. I was assured that the manager would return my call. After receiving no response, I left another voicemail and also sent an email to the restaurant. To date, I have not received a phone call, email, or even a simple apology. What disappoints us most is not only the experience itself but the complete lack of concern afterward. At a minimum, we expected the restaurant would want to be informed of a confirmed case of scombroid poisoning so they could investigate and ensure proper food handling procedures were being followed to help prevent this from happening to another guest. Unfortunately, their silence has left us with the impression that once customers have paid and left the restaurant, their well-being is no longer a priority. We expected far better from a restaurant with Saltwater Grill's reputation. read more

My husband and I have eaten here on several trips to PCB. When my daughter wanted to come here for her 30th birthday, she said she wanted to eat at Saltwater Grill, because we talked so highly about the food, ambience and service. We'll, on her birthday, this is where we went to eat. We started with the meatball & Lobster spring rolls. They were both tasty!!! When it was time to order, I was extremely disappointed to find out that they no longer served Salmon, so I had to pivot to a different dish. I chose the Grouper Imperial. This dish was terrible!!!!!!!!! The fish was pale (barely grilled); however the mashed potatoes & asparagus, although very skinny, were edible. That's all I ate from my dish, so they only charged me for the 2 sides. The charge was $16.00, for 2 sides!!! The birthday girl ordered the same thing and ended up switching to the Cobia fish. She said the fish was good; however, they prepared it on top of a red sauce and soggy broccolini! She and her friend, who ordred the Cobia as well, thought a light lemon-butter, caper sauce would have made the dish more palatable. The manager came by and all she could say was, "That's interesting". She defended the way they prepared the flounder at first, but reiterated to her that the fish wasn't good at all. This was not the experience we wanted for our daughter, or anyone for that matter, especially on her special day since she was so stoked about eating there!!! My oldest daughter ordered steak. We were seated right away even though we were about 10 minutes early for Valentine Dinner tonight. They had a special VD menu, as well as their regular menu. We both had the prime rib which comes with a complimentary salad and focaccia with dipping oil, mashed potatoes and green beans. Everything was cooked perfectly and arrived hot.
