Really beautiful interior with the aquarium and romantic lighting/decor. Our server, Chris, was very hospitable and friendly. My sister really loved her shrimp and grits and said it's the best she's tried so far. Nigiri was good, although I wasn't a big fan of the rice, not sure why (maybe too much sesame oil/rice vinegar?). The complimentary bread and oil was SO GOOD!!! The desserts are HUGE! Definitely ask to see the dessert cart, it's a show in itself! We did wait a pretty long time for our checks, but overall very pleased with our visit. Would love to come back.

Hands down my favorite place to eat! What won me over were their sautéed blue crab legs in garlic and butter--absolutely delicious. Every night of our Panama City Beach vacation we tried different fine dining restaurants, but this was the only one that offered the crab legs. It brought back so much nostalgia for me, since I've had them before in Fort Lauderdale but usually only the Jonah crab claws. Our waitress, Lucy, was very nice, and the manager, Fred, went above and beyond. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and gave us great advice on the menu. Here's what we enjoyed:    *   Drinks: St. Thom Toni (not a fan), Old Fashioned, and Iced Tea    *   Appetizers: Crispy & salty calamari, and sautéed blue crab claws (a must-try!)    *   Entrées: Scallops with brown butter, string beans, whipped potatoes, and fried lobster Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. This place is now a must-visit for me whenever I'm in Panama City Beach!

I came here last night with my partner for my birthday. My lobster in the lobster Mac and cheese was rubbery. Not ideal at all. Our server seemed really inexperienced. She asked us if wanted bread the END of our meal. She only refilled our water once at the end of our meal as well. We had to ask for silverware when we got our entrees. She asked us if we needed anything else- I asked for a second cocktail and she ran off before my partner could also request another drink as well. We got our dessert togo just to avoid anymore mishaps. She made us feel rushed and gave subpar service for what we were expecting. Not worth it.

Food was excellent. Fish was amazing and service was excellent. Great place for dinner. Ambiance is also nice with a very large fish tank

While our server was very nice, several of our dishes were not cooked. The scallops (3 for $42) were not fully cooked. When we asked for them to be cooked more to feed a toddler they came back the same opened (contaminated grill?) ones burnt. The shrimp cocktail was very large but slimy/chewy? Never had a shrimp cocktail quite like that but seemed underdone. They did offer to take this off because we only bit into one and set it aside. We had sushi, scallops, Grouper, lobster bisque, seaweed salad (this was the best thing we had tonight), and edamame which was really hard (dare I say also undercooked). $144 not including tip and it was rather disappointing. Other cons- - No toddler seat was offered. - Only one table setting was placed for two adults and one toddler. - No bread was brought to the table. Two stars instead of one because The fish tank is lovely and our waiter was very nice!

Service was great with Alica. Food was amazing . I love that our server let us space out our food.

Waygu meatball! I didn't try this, but the two that did said it was tasty.

My husband and I have eaten here on several trips to PCB. When my daughter wanted to come here for her 30th birthday, she said she wanted to eat at Saltwater Grill, because we talked so highly about the food, ambience and service. We'll, on her birthday, this is where we went to eat. We started with the meatball & Lobster spring rolls. They were both tasty!!! When it was time to order, I was extremely disappointed to find out that they no longer served Salmon, so I had to pivot to a different dish. I chose the Grouper Imperial. This dish was terrible!!!!!!!!! The fish was pale (barely grilled); however the mashed potatoes & asparagus, although very skinny, were edible. That's all I ate from my dish, so they only charged me for the 2 sides. The charge was $16.00, for 2 sides!!! The birthday girl ordered the same thing and ended up switching to the Cobia fish. She said the fish was good; however, they prepared it on top of a red sauce and soggy broccolini! She and her friend, who ordred the Cobia as well, thought a light lemon-butter, caper sauce would have made the dish more palatable. The manager came by and all she could say was, "That's interesting". She defended the way they prepared the flounder at first, but reiterated to her that the fish wasn't good at all. This was not the experience we wanted for our daughter, or anyone for that matter, especially on her special day since she was so stoked about eating there!!! My oldest daughter ordered steak. She said it was phenomenal, but her mashed potatoes were cold, so she only ate the meat.

Food, service and drinks were outstanding! I plan to go back the next time I'm in town.

We had to return to Saltwater Grill. We sat at the bar so we could enjoy watching the fish in the massive aquarium. Perfect ambiance. Roxanne the bartender was engaging, efficient and recommended menu favorites. We had the grouper imperial and flounder so we could share. Both were outstanding!!! Service was quick. Back of the house handled the fish with care, it was perfection. Saltwater Grill is worth a visit. Highly recommend!!

    Great drinks too!

    Is there a dress requirement?

Hi, Anita - We do not have a dress code. Typically, men wear pants or shorts with a collared shirt, while women tend to wear sun dresses or pants with a nice top and sandals. Hope this helps!

Do you offer reservations or call ahead seating?

Hi there! We don’t, but certainly hope you will visit us soon. Take care!

Are the tables spaced for COVID or are they normal? Want to go here for a big Valentine's dinner but definitely don't want to be right up next to other people. Thanks!

They had all guests spaced out.

After a so-called "fine dining" restaurant completely failed to accommodate our party (with reservations), Hunt & Gather stepped in without hesitation and made our evening unforgettable. Our table ordered a little bit of everything, and every dish was outstanding -- elk burgers, baked fish, bolognese, filet mignon, and the quail quesadillas were all incredible. The lamb lollipops remain my absolute favorite, and the flash-fried Brussels sprouts were perfection. We also sampled all of the desserts, and not a single one missed the mark. Their beer and wine selection is fantastic as well, and the blackberry cider was especially delicious. A huge shoutout to our server, Paul, who was warm, attentive, and incredibly efficient. He seemed to anticipate what we needed before we even had to ask. If you're looking for consistently amazing food, excellent service, and a restaurant that truly knows how to take care of its guests, do yourself a favor and visit Hunt & Gather. The new bar next door for cocktails and appetizers while you wait to be seated is also an excellent touch and adds to the overall experience.

The service was outstanding -- our waiter, Tommy, explained everything in detail and clearly knew the menu, wine list, and dishes inside and out. He was attentive throughout the whole dinner. The food was incredible. We started with the fried steak rolls, which were delicious, along with the steak -- so tender and flavorful -- the wagyu bread, and the butcher's bacon rack -- everything was amazing. For our main course, we shared the signature filet, and Tommy kindly offered to cut it in half for us. We paired it with the mushrooms as a side, which were also delicious. By dessert we were already so full, but we ordered one anyway and we're so glad we did -- the banana bread cake was incredible.
