This most recent visit was extra special , my daughter had her hair styled by Hailey for her Halloween costume (Rumi from K-pop Demon Hunters), and she absolutely nailed it! Hailey is so sweet, patient, and always has the biggest smile and most positive energy. The braid came out perfectly and totally completed the look. We've also celebrated a birthday party here before, and it was over the top fun! The girls got their nails and hair done, then wrapped it all up with a dress-up fashion show that they're still talking about. When I returned home and the bangs were dry, I noticed they were uneven and one side was thicker than the other. I took multiple pictures and the mistakes were even more glaringly apparent. I returned to the salon to ask for a refund ($7 + $3 tip). Rosie and Mona (stylist) told me it was not possible, so Rosie offered to fix my bangs; I conceded. However, when I showed her the mistakes, she did not understand the issues. She started cutting the bangs and the experience worsened due to her ineptitude. I commented that she still did not understand the problems with her cut. She threw the $3 tip in my purse and pulled my hair when she removed the smock, which she denied. The whole experience was catastrophe. I usually go to higher-end salons, but decided to give Supercuts a try. I can now see why people I know refuse to give them a go.

RIP "Walk-ins Welcome"…read more I've been meaning to write this for several months, but now, after washing my poor hair and feeling those ragged split ends once again, I need to share this. There are several things that have built up my anguish to make this a 1 star review, so I will just share each of those. 1. I have used the Fantastic Sam's shampoo and conditioner for approximately the last 3-4 years....the big red bottles with the pump (that is purchased separately). So a few months ago I went to this location to pick up some more since I was almost out. I walked in and was just staring at the wall where all the products are, trying to figure out which ones were which, because obviously the packaging has changed for all their private label products There was a guy at the register cashing someone out...I need to note that I have never seen a guy working at this location, so I don't know who he was or his name. As soon as his customer was done and started walking away, I asked him where the regular shampoo that they use to wash peoples hair was. He replied to me in a snarky tone and said "it's there". I was actually shocked at how he responded, I stood there for an unknown number of seconds trying to process how he just said that...and then after he turned and walked away to the back of the store, I proceeded to turn and walk out the door. As I sat in my car shocked, I vowed to never return. 2. About a month ago I decided I needed to get my hair cut desperately before traveling to California to see my parents. As I was heading up Nebraska, I remembered my vow to avoid Fantastic Sams. I thought about all the visits I've had there, and all the positive experiences I've had...so I decided that if that guy was there, I would leave immediately...as it turns out he wasn't. Maybe he was fired. I asked for a trim (which normally takes 15 minutes or less and includes the hair wash). I was asked if I had a reservation, and was told it would be 5 hours before they could see me. WTF? I've never been asked about reservations, cause this is "walk-ins welcome" Fantastic Sams. I left very upset. I then went by a Super Cuts that had lines of people waiting and 2 more walking in the door...so kept driving... 3. I drove to the Fantastic Sams on Main Street in Dunedin hoping for a better outcome. The staff was friendly, but said without an appointment it would be no less than 3 hours. WTF! When did Fantastic Sams become a standard salon? When did they abandon walk-ins? Why did they reduce the size of their shampoo and conditioner bottles so much AND start charging more? I'm disappointed. I will never be back. I will go back to buying shampoo and conditioner at Sam's and CostCo. I am a discount haircut kind of girl, I have easy thin/fine straight hair, no real styling involved, it's quick and easy. RIP Fantastic Sams
