Nothing too crazy...nothing a licensed professional should have not been able to do. Don't worry, I will provide the photo I wanted and what I got. After Tessa colored my hair, toned it and brought me back to the chair, her boyfriends (at the time) mother came in. Apparently she was a higher priority than I was because she no longer wanted to work on my hair. She told me she had to go do her boyfriends mother's hair instead. I was very confused by what was even going on. My hair was soaking wet, I had no idea what it even looked like. So I paid and left. Well when I got home and blow dried my hair is when I found out how awful of a job she did on my hair. She gave me a single color and her "lavender toner" she was raving about had done nothing to tone my hair. My hair naturally is a level 8, it's not so dark that I should have walked out with what I got. I will never return to her and I hope this review helps other ladies from having their hair ruined by Tessa.

One of my favorite parts was that she took detailed images of my scalp at the beginning and explained exactly what she was seeing. It was fascinating and so helpful to actually understand the condition of my scalp instead of just guessing. Based on those images, she customized my treatment with specific products, tinctures, and even supplement recommendations that were tailored to what my scalp actually needed. The treatment itself was incredible! She used several different jets, massage tools, and scalp treatments throughout the session, and every step felt intentional. It was incredibly relaxing, but I also walked away feeling like I learned a lot about my scalp health and had a real plan to improve it. However, it seems they've simply turned off the phone or are sending calls directly to voicemail as it currently rings once and goes right to a personal voicemail for "Mandy". Their website indicates someone named Mandy works there, however, why is the listed number her personal phone? And if it isn't her personal phone, why is the message a slurred "this is Mandy, leave a message"? Who am I calling? Either there is a strong lack of basic professionalism here or their Google and website info is wrong. Either way, it's left a bad taste in my mouth and I have no desire to use this salon anymore. I shouldn't have to play phone tag with a stranger to get my hair done.

I really like Cori's personality--professional, friendly and genuine. Cori asks for your input and will do exactly what you want, or make suggestions if you don't know what you want. I also like that she will recommend products if you ask, but she doesn't push products like some stylists I've been to. Salty Blonde has a great vibe--it's comfortable and clean with no snobby/fancy put-ons. All the stylists seem to enjoy working there, including the owner who is also a stylist. The salon is easy to find and has great free parking. Even though I live in Boise, it is definitely worth the drive to Nampa. Try out the botanical conditioning treatment--it really works wonders!!
