(I cried that first day when he was just a pup and it was my first time leaving him, but Cami hugged me and told me he was going to be just fine and most happy there - and those words are still true to this day!) It's truly his home away from home. He loves all of his fur friends (he made so many, and even I did too from A Bark Idea), lives for water time with the hose (those pictures are the best), or the time they brought in bubbles and Summit has never been more blown away, and I absolutely love the daily photos and updates that keep me connected no matter where I am. :) There is simply no place better in the South Bay (Hermosa), and now with their beautiful new location in Marina del Rey/Venice, it's even more convenient for us. :) I recommend them to everyone I know with a pup--and when you go, look for Summit on the walls... he's one of their photo models! :)

Yesterday was our first introductory run with Mark and it was amazing!…read more As someone that has a fluctuating work schedule, it has made it difficult to enrich my fur baby and we wanted to add something convenient and fun for the both of us and Bark N Roll was perfect! Mark was so great with Oso on his first try and really encouraged him to get the best out of his exercise. He truly cares about the dogs and it shows. He gave us great explanations as to what he does, how they're not trying to exhaust the dogs, and how beneficial it is physically but also mentally! Since Oso is a Samoyed I feel like this activates his ancestry genes of pulling reindeer in Siberia which this exercise really enriched him mentally in a way that I've never seen. Oso was way more calm the rest of the day and dare I say even sweeter than usual after his run and I'm sure he (and I) cannot wait to book again! This is a great outlet for those in the South Bay looking to do something extra for the pup all conveniently at home.

While the meet-and-greet went well, I was disappointed to discover that she brought her daughter and another individual into my home during a dog drop-in without my prior approval. It seems logical and reasonable to expect that only the person I met and approved would be entering my home. Allowing others to accompany the dog walker without explicit client consent raises concerns about home security and privacy. When I spoke with Jonna recently, I was surprised and disappointed to learn that the company's policy explicitly allows dog walkers to bring other individuals, such as family members, friends, or minor children, into clients' homes unless the client specifically requests otherwise. Instead of apologizing for this or acknowledging my concerns, Jonna shifted the blame onto the client for not explicitly stating that no one else was allowed. This response was frustrating, as it seems impractical to expect clients to anticipate such a scenario and establish boundaries that should be standard practice. Additionally, when I mentioned that I planned to share this policy on Yelp to educate others who may not be aware, Jonna became upset and accused me of threatening her, which was not my intent. I simply believe that transparency around this policy is crucial for clients, especially those who prioritize home security. From a liability and insurance standpoint, it seems unreasonable and risky for a company to permit non-approved individuals in private homes without explicit client consent.
