If the physician has guidelines to follow, then we should be contacted and communicated with regarding said guidelines. Not constantly being told by the front desk "Yeah, I saw that email and we did receive your paperwork, and we sent it to the manager for review. We'll give you a call back. Is this a good number?" Crickets. WARNING: This company retaliates when their back is against the wall by providing erroneously-filled out paperwork, and ONLY when they receive negative feedback. Best to avoid this unprofessional business who are scared to communicate when you need medical help. Here's my review: "I appreciate the physical care this location has provided, but the lack of communication is a bit concerning. Multiple emails and calls, with promises of callbacks and nothing on their end. When you provide a 10-day doctor's note, you should be able to back it up by filling out FMLA paperwork. It has 15 days to be filed, and this is my wife's job on the line. She had to provide me ADL, IADL, and emotional support during the time of the doctor's note, therefore making the FMLA very simple to fill out so I'm not sure what the hesitancy and lack of communication is for. I'm glad you don't have to worry about important paperwork being filled out for your own job security. NextCare Urgent Care it is. Find yourself a truly capable and strong women-owned business elsewhere for your care."

I arrived at approximately 7:15PM, the office closes at 8PM. It was very quiet, just a few people checking out. Jackie kindly checked me right in and in just a couple moments, Davin, the Medical Technician called me in to an exam room. He was a Paramedic by trade, and he took a thorough history from me - I felt like I was in very good hands so far. Just a moment or so after Davin left, Ms. Erin Manak, PA-C came in and examined me. When she diagnosed a muscle strain on my chest wall, I felt so relieved and so very glad I had gone to Urgent Care. I was in and out in 1/2 hour, but I did not feel as if I had been rushed in and out. Everyone was kind and calm and I can not say enough good things about the service I received at UC Health Urgent Care. I understand care at an urgent care can be hit or miss, at this location, I have had 2 really good experiences and 1 not so good, so I will return if needed. Thank you!

In the car on the way back, an artery in my nose spontaneously combusted. I navigated my way home, swallowing far too much blood, and waited for the endless stream to cease. After over an hour it did. The next morning, I placed a call to the virtual doctor to ask his opinion which was a quick "get to the emergency room". Me, being a smart, sensible (i.e. not able to afford an ER visit) woman, decided to call around and found this Urgent Care in Longmont (30 miles away from where I live) under my insurance coverage who said they'd be able to get me a pack and possibly cauterize my nose if need be. I leapt for joy, which started the flow from my nose yet again, hopped into the car (kindly driven by my fiancé) and started the trek south. There were plenty of cars in the parking lot full of people waiting for their drive-up COVID tests. I called the front where they asked if I was showing any symptoms (I wasn't) or had been exposed to anyone (I haven't) and was directed in to the lobby. After paying an easy $20 co-pay and filling out a form balanced on my knee, one hand glued to my nose, I was taken into a room where they took my heart rate (good), temperature (good) and blood pressure (not good). The doctor came in a few minutes later, had me remove the paper towel so he could watch the torrent, then prepped a pack for my faucet nose - basically, a tampon soaked in Afrin. After explaining what he was about to do and how it would help, he kindly jammed that thing up my nose. I was directed to leave it in for three hours, then gently remove it and hope for the best, or go to the ER if it was still bleeding. Thank goodness it finally ceased! The nurse was a little abrasive and didn't help my panicked blood pressure, but she also told it like it is, which I have learned to appreciate. The front desk was misinformed about the possibility of cauterization, so I was frustrated that they stated something that wasn't true, but overall not a big deal. Five stars for the doctor, his great sense of humor, wonderful explanation of details and shoving something up my nostril to keep me from bleeding out. Hoping to never have to visit this place again, but if the need arises, I'll happily drive the 60 miles round trip!

I recently gave birth here with the CU midwives and I am enamored with the exceptional care each…read moreand every one of the staff exerts here in the labor and delivery birthing center! Every single nurse was caring and made us feel like we had a voice. I labored for over 30 hrs so I went through many shift changes and never once felt like I was neglected. Each new person gave us the upmost respect and care. We almost had to have vacuum assisted delivery but once my baby's head crowned, the OB respectfully stepped back and allowed me and my midwife to continue pushing. I tear up every time I retell this part of the story because it means the world to me. I know some would have just continued with the altered plan because they were there and ready but she gave us the opportunity to do it the way I truly wanted and I will forever be grateful for that. Especially because my son already had a significant cone head/hematoma from my pushing for so long (4.5hrs) the vacuum most definitely would have not helped in that regard. That being said, we had about 10 plus extra hands that came in to help if he were to be a shoulder dystocia etc and they all where there coaching me on to push him out on my own. None of them were disgruntled to not be doing what they came in to do. They all fully put their faith in me and that truly helped my son and I do it vaginally without another intervention. The team then quickly acted as I hemorrhaged after my placenta was birthed and the OB who was there to do the vacuum came back and jumped in to stop the bleeding and place a balloon mechanism that placed pressure internally and suctions any continued bleeding. My husband and I are truly grateful we were here for our birth as they did everything in their power to ensure we were safe and with as minimal pain as possible both baby and I. I cannot thank them all enough. My doula was in awe with how well everyone came together to help me deliver him without assistance and I will forever be grateful for that let alone the after care. Not only do they have lactation consultants come in everyday and a free class on Mondays along with a touch back appointment to help everyone breastfeed the best they can but they also have an amazing anesthesia team and pediatricians. I came here for a water birth and received so much more. Only downfall is the new birthing unit did not head the feedback of the great team I spoke of. Why design something and not listen to those who actually work there everyday? The new tubs are deeper but they're narrow. As a pregnant woman, that's ridiculous we're not exactly tiny. Giving birth, you need to widen your pelvis which means opening your legs. This is impossible in their new tubs. Thank goodness I had my midwives' birthing pool because that tub was just not it unfortunately. Also there is a light directly above the bed where the mothers can visual everything as of it were a mirror. Was ok for me but can see how that might traumatize or discourage others during the process.

No one wants t visit a hospital for themselves, but having nice new ones in their medical coverage,…read morecloser than the flagship facility an hour from home, is a real convenience. Many diagnostic tests have to be done in a hospital setting. State of the art equipment and well trained personnel is paramount. The radiology group here was all of this. The facility is too. We have used this hospital for many diagnostics and a few surgeries. For those of us who use UCH exclusively, this place cuts the drive time to only half of what it is if using University hospital facilities at Anschutz from a home in Boulder. We are happy when we can make that choice. But sometimes, Anschutz may be the only option. And that has proven valuable to me. Always make sure the facility you choose is in your insurance network. It's how the medical world works, though emergency services should always be the closest available and are often covered anyway. Just be sure to get the best coverage you can afford. I was in and out in under an hour and follow through available within the day.
