Frank's Building Materials and Villanueva Cabinetry Workshop where they make and stain basic pine kitchen and bathroom cabinets to order. Building supplies include typical 60 and 90 pound sacks of cement and concrete, sand and gravel by the scoop, cement board, rebar, cinder blocks, nails, screws, bolts, brooms, et cetera. They deliver to the local area, they've delivered big orders for me to projects in City Terrace, Monterey Park and Lincoln Heights. When I pick up materials in my car, or truck they always load everything for me. Their prices are similar to big retailers like Home Depot, but much more convenient service. They will run around the store and find whatever you need while you wait at the counter. Villanueva Hardware a mile west at 3516 E Cesar E Chavez Ave is a bit smaller. I believe they have three additional locations but I haven't visited those. Frank's Building Supplies might smell a bit like oregano, because fifty years ago the building was the home of a Mexican spice distributor. I shopped there even then!

I have a contractor who can come get the door. I have the money to buy. I have the willingness. They have none. The customer service at the front office with my customers is top notch. If I don't have a sample of some kind I send my customer into there office and they walk them through the different options without needing me there. If they don't have an answer for me they get one and they always go the extra mile. From delivering material they were short on or holding up there end if something doesn't go right they are on it. The loaders work incredibly hard to get things done and make sure the roof gets loaded properly and safely. Absolutely great guys.
