We rent the pool for a few hours a few times a year. Reasonable price for big group of people to swim.

Thankfully, he was gone by the time I finished, which took less than an hour. I would suggest not making an appointment too late, but 6:45 PM was one of the only slots left for today (Monday). It is very cold inside, even though it's April, but I guess that's a good sign for the summer months. Although I do like donating at other places such as churches and schools, I wanted to see this donation center in person. It is nicely decorated, and whoever put everything together definitely put effort into the details. It looks so much more upgraded from the previous location. Richard M. walked me through the donation, and it was one of the best experiences I've had as a blood donor because he accompanied me the entire time. He was thorough, knowledgeable, skilled, and most importantly, personable. It was totally different from the last time where the employee wanted nothing to do with me and was just there to do her job, which I don't blame, but it's nice when you can connect with someone. Al started a new rewards program and have lots of information about it, and they have more brochures and flyers in the canteen area about the Red Cross in general. It is well-stocked, and there's even a sink and coffee, so you feel a bit more cozy and at home. I had a great first time, and it left such a positive impression on me that I hope to be back for my next donation. ^^

Staff is friendly, makes u feel comfortable, and tend to u if feeling weak. Lots of juice, water, coffee, snacks to help recover from donating blood. Don't forget, always wait 15min post blood/platelet donation in snack area to make sure of no signs of weakness. I'll come again to this location again when my blood regenerates.

As such, I find them to be a better alternative to Goodwills and Salvation Army because the money from their thrift store goes back directly to the communities they are physically located in. For item donations, drive to the rear of the store. There are workers that will accept the donated items and provide you with a receipt if wanted. DOUBLE check their hours before going. Since they're a volunteer-based organization they are not open everyday and generally run from 10AM-3PM.

The website says they accept donations until 3 pm so I arrived around 2:50 pm and a woman told me they stopped taking donations at 2 pm and to return on Tuesday when it was more convenient for them. I told her I only had two bags of clothes and she made an annoyed face and begrudgingly let me drop off the bags while schooling me about how the cutoff is at 2 pm. Um, maybe update your website?! I needed to get those clothes out of my house so I donated the bags, in any other situation I would have taken my clothes, some of which were new with tags, elsewhere. From reading the reviews, I can only conclude that there is a pattern of disrespect and unprofessional behavior. The only other time I've been here they were having a jewelry sale and I witnessed one woman yelling at another volunteer in such a demeaning/condescending manner that I almost left, then she snatched the paper bag with my merchandise from me since she hadn't cooled off from belittling her colleague. Perhaps these ladies should spend their free time taking courses on etiquette and good manners instead of doing the community a disservice with their presence at this establishment. Next time, I'll just drive to Costa Mesa to donate to Laura's House, the staff there are friendly and the clothes are actually cuter and more like what I wear anyway.
