WOW, this store was not what I expected. The photos looked so inviting, however, when I entered the store, it was such a mess, I had to step over product, I have to say I was truly disappointed. Friendly and knowledgable staff. I had previously had a recommendation from a shoddy competitor to buy a new serger and Sewing Boutique simply corrected the threading instead of pushing me for a machine sale. These ladies are not only ethical but know the machines. Very nice over the phone, promptly returned my distressed phone call for help and went out of their way to solve my problem. I visited the Sewing Boutique twice and was totally ignored. Three women were in the back area in what sounded like a sewing class in progress. One sales person came out and was talking to a customer. She didn't seem to know she could at least acknowledge another customer's presence. She could have commented a friendly" hello, I'll be with you a moment." Another customer was looking around also. I picked up a pattern and a pkg of fat quarters and was waiting to pay for them. I ended up putting them down and leaving the store. The other customer walked out too. I could not recommend this store to anyone. read more

Took my Baby Lock to them with the replacement part to have the pressure foot leveler replaced. Called them a week later after no call to see what was happening. Was told the tech could not fix it but they where sending out for a schematic from Baby Lock. Another week goes by, no call so again I called them. Was told they could not fix it and to pick it up. I got to the shop where the machine was brought out without the foot pedal. I was then told I owed her $25. I asked why and was informed that was the bench price for looking at it. (They did not even clean it). She had not charged me the deposit when I dropped it off ($25) because she did not think they could fix it or the cost would be very high. Again, they were not sure they could fix it so she did not charge me the deposit. Now I was required to pay it or I did not get my foot petal. So after 2 weeks with this sewing center my machine will being going home broken. I will take it to my shop that I know can fix it. I do not trust someone who never calls to update you and charges for work not done. Also as a footnote. Work is done at the shop but the repairmen are only occasionally there so you have no one to talk to about your repair. read more

I love this store, I'm probably in there once a week. The owner and employees are wonderful. I take classes every month and thorougly enjoy them, always learn something new. They have me hooked on embroidery, I had to take a break from quilting for a while after 16 years because I am in love with doing embroidery. Check out the store they have all kinds of sewing needs, machines and some beautiful fabric. read more

Horrible customer service experience ever. Had sewing machine serviced for $100, but went back after experiencing same issue with it. They basically said it was user error and walked away. I stayed there until I myself got it started working again for over an hour, and not one of the two ladies that ran the shop ever offered their assistance or advise. Basically wiped their hands of the job. I will never recommend this place to anyone. Their customer service skills need serious improvement. read more

We were in the Ft. Myers area and our Brother's embroidery machine developed a problem that we couldn't solve by our selves. We looked for a place that repaired Brothers, but also used them. We were invited to bring the machine in, but they refused to take it for repair without first doing an evaluation. They were far more helpful and knowledgable than most places that solely do repairs. It took some time, but they found the problem and solved the mystery. They refused to accept payment since it was a simple fix. Maybe they didn't make much money off us that day, but they gained a loyal customer. We highly recommend them. read more

I called this shop because the Viking dealer that I bought my machine from has been unable to help me for a year. Heather answered the phone and fixed my problem even though I've never even been in her store. She is WONDERFUL. I came into this store with my mom who is the sewer in our family. First let me tell you, the feel of this store is so welcoming and clean and up and coming--I loved it!! The ladies that were their welcomed us upon entering and my mom asked about one of the machines near the front of the store. I wondered towards the back when one of the ladies asked if I was looking for something specific and I mentioned that I don't do much sewing. And much to my surprise she said its so easy and fun and showed me a few things. Next thing I know we were taking about the silhouette machines because I mentioned that I would love to be able to cut my own vinyl and designs for my small home business. She went into great detail about everything that the machine will do and I was very impressed with her knowledge. My mom made her purchase and I left with a lot of better information and will hopefully be returning very soon to get that Silhouette machine. Thanks ladies for all your assistance and I applaud you for such a clean, upbeat and functional store. I can't wait for my next opportunity to come into your store. read more

The staff at Sewing Boutique are the most knowledgeable in town. I'm so lucky to have found this shop. I bought an Epic from a big box store and of course there was no support on how to use the machine. Heather showed me so many things I didn't even know it could do. They have amazing customer support and really know the machines. You can tell they all sew! I wish I would have gotten my machine from them to begin with. The classes are inexpensive and very informative. Their fabric and notions are much different than other shops in the area. Stuff you normally wouldn't find. Keep up the good work ladies. What an amazing little shop! I was vacationing and realized I had a hole in a dress which I needed for a formal dinner the next night. I couldn't find a seamstress that was open that day with availability. I stopped in here even though I have never sewn before in my life. Jason sold me the correct needle and thread and even showed me the correct way to stitch it so you would never be able to tell it had a hole in the first place. He was so kind and knowledgeable, we ended up chatting for about 30 minutes about this and that. If I lived closer he would have totally sold me on one of their classes. read more

This place is super unique. The staff is very knowledgable and friendly - they provided exceptional service when I stopped in to get a gift for my friend who loves to sew! They offer tons of classes, have a wide range of sewing and embroidery machines, and high class taste. I felt comfortable even though I was totally out of my element. Not at all happy with their sewing machine repair. Machine still had problems with the tension and bobbin winding. They replaced the motor and didn't return the old one or complete the service I requested. I had planned on using the emblem from the old motor. Their excuse for not returning it was that I didn't ask to have it returned. I didn't ask for the old belt either but it was returned. read more

Have been looking for a shop to buy accessories for my Viking machines, and I found this store. Very impressed with the accessory assortment and all the other toys. The ladies there made us feel right at home and I am sure this is going to be one of my favorite hangouts. I thought I would have to go back to Atlanta to get my sewing supplies. I really don't like the unfriendly big box store that lots of people use. We felt right comfortable and received excellent care and information. You MUST stop in and meet these ladies. It will become your fav place for sewing supplies. And No, I don't work for them, just moved here a couple of years ago and always said I would drop in to look the store over. I bought a Husquvarna sewing machine before leaving my summer address in MI. When the machine was less than 1 month old I was having problems with it. Husquvarna advertises that any dealer will service and help with their machines. Sewing Boutique at 13500 Cleveland Ave in N.Ft. Myers, FL refused and told me to take it back to where I bought it. A year later I was looking for a specific foot for my machine and returned to the store. I not only bought the foot, but $300 worth of patterns & fabric plus trim. There was a class going on teaching someone to put in an invisible zipper. I explained that it had been 50 years since I had sewn garments and I was trying to make a pair of pants for my 10 yr old granddaughter & was having trouble figuring out how to read the new one size fits all pattern McCalls puts out & the clerk assured me that if I brought it in, someone would help me. I did that today. Although the internet said they were open another hour the woman that appeared to be running the place informed me they were closed and if I wanted their help I should come back and take a class from Susie. So my experience is that they don't stand behind their product, but they are very willing to take your money for a product that is WAY overpriced and their people skills and helpfulness are nonexistent! read more
