I then sent an email inquiring about the quality of the leather. I also asked what the cash price was for it. This was on July 30th; I NEVER received any response and the email did not "bounce back". It is obvious to me that they do not want to do any legwork to sell anything. Very disappointed because I really wanted a new chair. Upon arrival, one is greeted by a pleasant aroma of leather wafting from the store. The front is western themed and looks like something out of a John Wayne movie or old Dodge City. Very creative architecture. Inside the store there is a massive array of "cowboy" hats and boots. Upon entering, we were greeted by a kind young lady who offered to help us with our search. We were looking for a dress for my wife and a dress shirt for me. We found a quality Wrangler western shirt with pearl snaps for me, but the clothing selections for women were a bit light. It is fair critique, but in their defense, the name of the business is not Western Wear, it is The Boot Store. After striking out, we left for another store to find a dress. We found one at another location. Upon finding the dress, we needed boots to match. My wife has extremely wide feet, which has always defeated her in finding cute cowgirl boots. Realizing we were now in the hunt for boots, we returned to The Boot Store. They had no boots my wife's size in stock. This is not a strike against them. Many companies don't make D width cowboy boots. Even fewer carry that inventory. Nevertheless, the same young lady who had helped us previously returned to our side to help. She measured my wife's foot and helped her determine exactly what type of boot we were looking for. We did find one pair that would have worked, but they were a high end boot and beyond our price range. Prices vary from very cheap to very expensive and everywhere in between. For the average western boot wearer, male or female I can't think of a better place to find western footwear. This is a destination location for all things western. Hats, belts, buckles, western shirts, and boots, boot and more boots! Every type and sort and color you can imagine. My wife used the women's room while she was there and the toilet was clogged. Eh, these things happen. If there was a negative that was probably it. Parking is ample. The business is on a busy thorofare. Getting out can be a challenge at peak traffic times. Overall, a five star experience for us.

Oops I did it again!…read more I love antique clocks (and antique/ vintage items in general) even though I dont have anywhere to put them all out in my house, but yesterday, I picked up this beautiful antique mahogany clock. I believe that it may be a Junghans German shelf clock. (Possibly a "Biedermeier style"?) clock with a dark reddish mahogany case and a beveled glass door. It has a wonderful deep toned strike on the hour and half hour. I found this gem at Second & Main and it's sister store Apparitions Vintage Village which is owned by an old high school friend Robin Sowers. This store has a little bit of everything from classis records, vintage items, and locally crafted items as well! Be sure and check them out!
