Being a fan of Vietnamese and a lover of a good Pho or Bun I was really excited when my friend suggested grabbing a quick bite to eat at the local noodle place near his office. What I didn't expect to find was a rather hipster set up with a menu that made me want to order everything on it! The atmosphere is super chilled, friendly staff and the seating was pretty comfortable even though it's a fairly small restaurant. So I do love visiting the Pho chain restaurants but I'm always wanting to try new things and SIN did not let me down. They have a great selection of starters, so I'd definitely return just to try them all, and the mains consisting of pho and buns was great! In the end we ended up going for the Pork spring rolls, incredibly tasty and comes in a set of 2 rolls (sliced in halfs) which is great for a sharing starter. I had the Pork pattie bun which was fantastic and so full of flavour. SIN most certainly gave Pho a run for their money and in terms of price are on a level playing field. If you're in or around the Dalston/Mildmay area and fancy a great meal, then I would most certainly recommend popping into SIN!

This hipster joint also does very good food! Had the summer rolls and the chicken pho. (Tip: ask for the chilli sauce and the extra chilli if you are a spice fiend). They were both great. The pho in itself was delicious and brothy with amazing flavour. We went in at a bit of an odd time (around 4pm) so they didn't have some of the menu items but I look forward to going back to try them! Will be back.

Fresh Vietnamese food with really, really good wings. Vietnamese food rocks because there is that healthy fresh element throughout the menu mixed with deepfried wings and spring rolls. This Viet place has a nice balance of those two things place plus throw in some Chinese items to please the crowds too. There are a number of 'social plates' to share for starters including the juiciest lamb chop I have had (yum), viet prawn and pork salad, sesame crisps, the above mentioned chinese items as well as dumplings and more. All of these have a nice spice through them and you can add more with the on-table sriracha. Then you can go with a Vietnamese salad which all have the same fresh vegetable and rice noodle base, just chose your protein. And there is the very delicious looking soup. They call the soups pho but they seem to have a lot more going on than a good old fashion pho- so more like a viet soup morphed with chinese soup (or maybe my chinese/vietnamese food terminology is out of wack). Lots and lots of flavour, colour and aromatics. Tick. The wine list is very short- I would have loved to see a couple more wines on there but the Riesling was good (£28). Lots of craft beers on offer too and the cocktails are great. Oh and a lot of craft soft drinks too and of course coconut water because Dalston. And because we are talking Asian food there is lots of veg options as well as melt in your mouth pork.

This place was good not great. We did come here pretty late so hopefully the next time we come it'll be even better. We had two of the pho dac biets. I thought it was delicious but the noodles were undercooked. However, the prawns were cooked to perfection. I would say this place is a mix of authentic Vietnamese with a hipster vibe. It seems like they are trying to go with better presentation than authentication, which is fine, but personally not for me. I much prefer experiencing the diversity of cuisines not white washed for a larger crowd. As a customer I would also prefer to have the power to add as much bean sprouts, basil/mint, lemon/lime and jalapeños as I want and have a sauce dish for hoisin sauce and chili paste. I think this place still has a lot of potential because they obviously know how to make good Vietnamese food and I would recommend trying their pho dac biet but if you're used to the traditional pho dac biet (pho with flank, stripe, tendon, Vietnamese meatballs etc) and that's all you want then this isn't the place. They have bar stools looking outside, so great for a quick lunch by yourself or with a small group of friends. The staff is friendly and the prices are fair.

This was a special, Phuc Quoc wings over noodle salad. And the Pho Bo at the top.

Damn those wings are worth dying for! They make my mouth and stomach extremely happy. I also ordered the fried spring rolls which were tasty too! The Pho wasn't quite to my taste. The soup did not have the strong flavour that I'm used to. Texture of the noodle was great though. But damn... I'm coming back for those wings soon again!

Phoking excellent noodle joint! Bun Bo Hue you say? Yep, it's the real deal - deliciously spicy lemongrass broth filled with noodles, beef brisket pork and all the herbs, a great bowl of pho rain or shine. The Lemongrass lamb chops are excellent, cooked pink with rendered fat - a delight. If you are in their Dalston branch and spot the dumpling on special - GET THEM - crack parcels! Failing that, head over to Finsbury Park and order at least two rounds, you won't regret it.

People write that this is a hipster place. Surely it is but the phō was great nonetheless. I'd be happy to come back and try out some other items on the menu.

I don't really have stuff to say about the individual dishes because everything that I have attached to this review is a hit, and for anyone coming through, it will pretty much just be a choice of preference on the meat included in the noodles. Whichever type of meat one likes will be the noodles that one should end up going with. I chose the beef flank one, and there was just a lot of tender beef flank included in my broth and I was happily eating everything and drinking the broth ferociously. You just can't go wrong with whichever you choose. This would definitely be a place that I would recommend anyone around the area! 10 out of 10 without a doubt.

(Was occasionally a tad difficult to flag down a server, but I enjoyed watching the cooks prepare dishes in front of me.) I ordered the (classic) tonkotsu ramen, which was really good. The noodles were authentically chewy, and the broth was very rich and savoury without being too heavy or oily. The sliced chashu was tender and juicy. Portion size was healthy and I think reasonable for the price point. I would be keen to come back to try some of their other dishes (the katsu curry looked very tasty). Would definitely recommend!

I've had a lot of ramen in my life and this one doesn't necessarily stand out but it's not subpar either. I really do appreciate that they offer a small size though so that way you can still get a good taste for the ramen but have room for other dishes on the menu! Curry was great and I was surprised at how much I liked the fried courgettes, I feel like most times they are too soggy but these were perfectly crunchy! Drinks were solid as well. Service was great -- not one dedicated server, everyone checked on us and were extremely polite. Atmosphere is laid back and casual, so its a nice spot to come in later in the evening for quick solid bites!
