    Duck Pho
    Gary M.

This place we found was open for a late night delivery. All our orders are very good. We order the last 2 nights before heading back to US. We had their salt and pepper wings (6 orders), salt pepper squid (2 orders), salt pepper ribs, duck pho, Vietnamese egg fried rice with shrimp (2 orders), prawn Sumer rolls, papaya and mango with prawn, Vietnamese spring rolls (2 orders), salt and pepper prawns, and shaking beef. All are good, no complaints. We ordered two nights in a row and liked it. We all shared and did an average rating of 4 stars. This is an easy Ubereats delivery order and it was delivered within half an hour.

Soooo good, after a semi long traveling day this was my perfect comfort meal to eat. The inside is big but feels very cozy, they have some seats that are like picnic style benches where other are more like tables/seats. There are lights and plants all around the restaurant to make it feel even more cozy and fun. Portions are HUGE!!! I got the vermicelli bowl with pork. I get this a lot in the US and I'd say it's pretty good. I also got the spring roll which was good...but different. The texture is different than what I'm used to (granted, in the US the spring rolls are the shrimp ones with veggies/peanut sauce etc so in the UK I'm going to assume it's different, like crisps/chips etc). But regardless, super bomb. Definitely give this place a try if you want some filling Vietnamese food.

Great pho and other vermicelli dishes. The Vietnamese ice coffee is on point- very strong. The head waitress here is super nice and friendly. We'll definitely be regulars here.

Amazing Vietnamese food in central london. Off the beaten path, but that's why you travel right?!

This place has really good authentic Vietnamese food with authentic nc mm! The servers are great very attentive and patient with our orders! The pho is very tasty and the meat was so tender! My friend and I rated this place as one of the top three restaurants during our travels!

Good friendly staff. It was a nice stop during the hustle and bustle of our trip. Food is similar to American Vietnamese, but the sauces and certain styles of serving it were very different. For instance the peanut sauce tasted a lot less sugary and less thick than the common American variety. The Hoison sauce wasn't available either if I recall correctly, but they had plenty of sriracha. The place was clean, the staff was friendly, the prices were reasonable, and the atmosphere was good. If you're trekking through the area and you have a craving for some Vietnamese, you can't go wrong with a Ngon Ngon. I would hesitate to eat here again, don't be afraid to give it a try! It's great?

We all loved our food so much! We started with an order of the spring rolls and summer rolls - both delicious. The prawn summer rolls had a strong coriander/basil flavor and were served with a delicate sauce, much different than the traditional peanut sauce. Very surprising and refreshing. I got the spicy pork pho soup, one of the best I've had. Super fresh ingredients, loved the texture of the noodles, broth was spicy and very layered. Absolutely divine. Service was spot on - our waiter was classy, extremely polite, and attentive. This is the kind of place you could eat at every day and not feel bad because it's affordable, tasty, fresh, and healthy. Yum!!

Food: 3 | Service: 2 | Ambiance: 3 I've had my fair share of Pho and this one wasn't bad. I ordered the spicy beef pho and it was okay, I just didn't feel like the broth had the complexity or depth I'm used to. The real issue was that there was just a hint of grass in the aftertaste of the broth. Yes, grass. Like a lawn. That you mow. I asked the waiter after I had almost finished the bowl if they added any kind of vegetables or herbs to the broth and he said no. He then went on to suggest perhaps it's the chili oil. This made no sense to me so I said it's probably not the chili oil... Then he suggested it was lemongrass. I know what lemongrass tastes like, it's not lemongrass. I let it go and I asked to pay. A girl came back with the receipt and I gave her my card. She told me it was a £10 minimum and my bill was £9.50 and I had no cash. Let me say at this point that I saw no sign that said there was a minimum otherwise I would've gotten cash or wouldn't have sat down. So I asked to order a fresh juice (it was £3+). She listed off the fruits and I chose watermelon. It came back to me and there was an odd taste to it. It was because there was TEA in it. The waitress failed to mention that it was a watermelon TEA. I mean it was still fine but it wasn't what I ordered. Btw, this is London and I speak English so this isn't a language issue. After all that I asked the staff if there was somewhere that said there is a £10 minimum and she said no. Apparently the owners were making a sign. This should still be disclosed whether by announcing it upon arrival or scribbling it temporarily on a the back of a receipt and taping it to the window or counter. Anyways, I wasn't pleased with the service mostly. The grassy pho was fine but I wouldn't come back for it. Perhaps order something else?

Pork bun salad and beef pho

I headed in this direction in search of a Korean restaurant that I had bookmarked. They were supposed to be open until 3pm, but at 2:30 they had a "closed" sign hung on the door. I then walked down a bit until I found this place and I'm so glad that I did. I had the pork bun (think vermicelli noodle salad) which was amazing. Just the right balance of flavours and textures. I felt guilty adding a bit of sriracha to up the heat, because the balance was absolutely perfect. I also had the spicy beef pho. Very tasty, however it has a strong smell and taste of beef in the soup, so I wouldn't recommend it unless you love your beef. There are plenty of other options on the menu too and when I saw them set up for evening service as I left, I realised that the dinner menu has more options than the lunch menu. The staff were excellent and took good care of me despite my arriving close to their closing time. They had unfortunately run out of the Vietnamese iced coffee, but they had my favourite aloe Vera drink and it was a lovely accompaniment to the light and healthy meal. I love tonkotsu ramen style broth, but on a sunny day like today, pho is absolutely perfect.

After travelling 10 hours from San Francisco and volunteering for 8 hours at City Harvest London, pho was the perfect comfort food. The flavors were robust -- similar to my mom's cooking -- and the presentation was quite creative. We also ordered the shaking beef, which was equally delicious. The atmosphere was delightful with flowers and artwork adding to the charm, as well as excellent service. I'll definitely return during my next trip and sample other menu items. If you're craving authentic Vietnamese food, Ngon Ngon is a must try. The name says it all!

    Papaya salad with prawn

My favorite comfort Vietnamese food on a cold day. The atmosphere is warm and cozy and food is delicious. After a full day of nonstop unhealthy eating I was looking for clean veggie filled food. We shared the papaya salad to start, veggie pho with beef broth (yum), and morning glory with garlic. All of the dishes were light and flavorful, and plated beautifully. Have tried the squid and duck rice dishes and those were fantastic as well. Will come back again and again :)

I am reluctant to write my review seeing the last poor reviews given. I did you go to this place maybe 2 months ago...? So my review may not be the most up to date. I had a rather good experience with both the service and the food. The place was not really busy which may explain the good service. We were also seated upstairs. The decoration is rather basic. As for the meal, I quite enjoyed it. I had a chicken and noodle dish which was really good. As starters we had spring rolls which were probably the best I have had. We ordered a seconds of the spring rolls. One of the main selling points is the prices. Really good prices considering the portions!

I don't think I'll be back, and I wouldn't recommend this unless you were extremely uncultured and didn't know what real Asian food was like. Non-Asian folks may love this place - so take other reviews with a grain of salt (I personally am shocked at how highly rated this place is). The missus rates it lower than me (3/5 from me), so I give this place her rating cuz we were both... very sad about this. Missus and I showed up at 4pm on a Saturday in May. It was hella busy when we arrived, but quickly emptied out after we started getting our food. This place claims its Thai but they only have the spice part down... I doubt this is actually authentic. Maybe it's Southeast Asian inspired?? If anyone else knows please comment. The portion sizes are predictably small, and I don't think we ordered enough for two to be full, even though it was quite pricey (given the portion size). We ordered the rump cap, curry, clay pot, and a lager to drink. Nothing was that memorable - the rump cap was well made but the curry definitely made us question the cultural authenticity of this place. I wouldn't order the curries here - the meat dishes seem decent though. The ambiance in here is definitely loud, since sound carries - any conversation gets amplified and you can hear every word - even the annoying laughs or coughs are at volume 11 (so try to keep your voices down!). There's a background music track but it's faint and you can only barely hear it when anyone is talking. The restaurant layout is very good for communal dining, but really bad for intimate settings. If I were a dating man (I'm not), I wouldn't bring a date here. The service is also extremely slow - from when we ordered to when we got all of our food was roughly 45 min - which, given how hungry we were, and how empty the place was - inexcusable and really disappointing. Note: mandatory 12.5% service charge on top of your meal.

Food was excellent. Unique flavours and very well priced. Service was also very good, great…read morerecommendations. Lovely vibe in the restaurant.
